2014 Ram 1500 Fuel System Diesel Engine Problems

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made abnormally loud noises and then stalled. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced due to fractured rods. The vehicle was not repaired.
