Forward Collision Avoidance →2 issues
Your Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking systems aren't working properly—they fail to alert you or brake when a collision is imminent, and warning lights stay on even after you try to reset them through the vehicle's settings. After software updates, these safety features often turn off on their own and won't stay enabled. You're also seeing error messages about limited functionality even in clear weather with clean sensors. Getting these systems properly calibrated and reprogrammed by a dealer may be needed to restore the safety features you paid for.

Your 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee is braking on its own while driving normally, even when there are no obstacles in the road ahead. The forward collision warning light stays on constantly, and this unexpected braking happens almost daily, creating a risk that another vehicle could hit you from behind. Your dealership has attempted repairs multiple times since you purchased the vehicle, but the problem persists. The fix will likely involve diagnosing and repairing or replacing the forward collision avoidance system sensors or control module.

Power Train,electrical System,engine →2 issues
Your vehicle has experienced repeated electrical failures where it won't start and loses all electrical power without warning. The main electrical system appears to fail suddenly, leaving your car completely inoperable. You've had to take it to the dealership multiple times for the same issue, with extended periods out of service. This could involve replacing or repairing the battery, alternator, or main electrical connections to restore reliable power.

Your vehicle suddenly shut down while you were driving without any warning, leaving you stranded on the roadside. The engine wouldn't restart and smoke was coming from the engine area. The dealership found that the engine wiring harness had burned and failed, causing a complete loss of power while driving — a serious safety hazard. The fix will involve replacing the damaged engine wiring harness.

Electrical System, forward Collision Avoidance →2 issues
Your car's instrument cluster and infotainment system randomly switch to Italian language without warning, causing all your gauges, settings, and controls to revert to defaults. When this happens, important safety features like forward collision warning and pedestrian emergency braking lights turn on and can't be disabled, door locks stop working, and speed and temperature displays switch to unfamiliar units — making it difficult to drive safely. Even after visiting the dealership four times, the issue persists and some settings won't reset. A complete software update or reprogramming of your vehicle's instrument cluster and infotainment system may be needed to resolve these random language and setting glitches.

Your car's infotainment system may unexpectedly switch to Italian language settings and disable important safety features like Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and paddle shifters, while also changing displays from mph to kilometers, Fahrenheit to Celsius, and PSI to KPA. While some settings can be manually reset, the FCW and paddle shifters cannot be restored without professional service, and you may encounter additional disabled features. This glitch causes significant driver distraction as you attempt to reset functions while driving. Jeep is aware of this issue and has released technical service bulletins, but there is currently no permanent fix available.

Air Bags,seats →1 issue
Your front passenger head restraint deployed on its own without any accident or impact, breaking a plastic bracket so it can't be pushed back manually. This is dangerous because a child or passenger could have been injured if they were sitting in that seat. The replacement part has been discontinued, and Stellantis has a recall (20c) but your vehicle doesn't qualify for it, leaving you responsible for the $700+ repair cost.

Steering,forward Collision Avoidance →1 issue
Your electronic power steering system failed while driving at 55 mph, making the steering wheel very difficult to turn. You noticed multiple warning lights on the dashboard at the same time. After inspection, you found water and corrosion inside the steering control unit, which appeared to have started after your water pump began leaking. The repair will likely involve replacing the corroded electronic steering control module and addressing any water intrusion into the system.

Steering →1 issue
Your water pump is leaking coolant onto the electric power steering system located directly below it, which has caused your power steering to stop working. The wet electrical connections need to be replaced or repaired to restore steering function. This will likely involve replacing the water pump and inspecting or replacing the power steering control module.

Parking Brake →1 issue
Your parking brake is activating on its own after you shift into park, even though no warning light appears on your dashboard. You have to manually disengage it each time to drive the vehicle. The dealer was unable to diagnose or fix the problem. This may involve replacing or recalibrating the parking brake control module or electronic actuator.

Engine,forward Collision Avoidance →1 issue
Your 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee has multiple ongoing issues even after several recalls. The hybrid battery sometimes fails to engage, causing a noticeable delay when accelerating at low speeds—which could be dangerous when merging or turning in traffic. Additionally, the forward collision warning system triggers intermittently without a permanent fix, the tire pressure monitoring system frequently fails to register pressure readings, and the infotainment/radio system periodically freezes or goes blank, making navigation unreliable. These issues may require battery diagnostics, sensor replacements, software updates, and electrical system repairs.

Electrical System,fuel/propulsion System →1 issue
After having recall 68c completed, your 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee lost all electric power while driving in electric-only mode on the highway at 55 mph when you tried to accelerate. The car slowed to 40 mph despite pressing the accelerator fully, then about 3-5 seconds later the gas engine suddenly started, revved loudly, and the vehicle lunged forward to 65 mph and continued accelerating even after you released the pedal—you had to use the brakes to slow it down. This same problem happened again 9 hours later on the same highway. The dealer says this is normal, but the sudden loss of power and unintended acceleration behavior suggests a problem with the hybrid system's power management or transition between electric and gas modes.

Suspension,electrical System,unknown Or Other →1 issue
Your 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been at a Jeep dealership since January 30, 2026, for a safety recall repair related to a hybrid battery fire risk. This is the third service attempt, and the recall repair failed — the dealership says your hybrid battery needs complete replacement but hasn't provided a timeline for when it will be ready. You've had to pay out-of-pocket for a rental car while your vehicle sits at the dealership, and Jeep approved $60/day reimbursement but is now only offering $25/day, which doesn't cover comparable rental rates in your area. The fix will require a full hybrid battery replacement and resolution of the reimbursement dispute with Jeep Customer Care.

Electrical System,engine →1 issue
While driving at 30 mph in town with the vehicle in e-Save mode and battery level below 1%, your engine shut off unexpectedly, causing you to lose power steering. The dashboard displayed a message to press the brake and push the start button. After stopping, you restarted the vehicle and it drove normally. This suggests the battery may have been too depleted to maintain engine operation in hybrid mode.

Visibility/wiper →1 issue
Your windshield washer system is spraying fluid onto the front camera instead of onto the windshield, and it's not spraying the rear window either. This means you can't clean your windshield while driving, which affects visibility and safety. The repair will likely involve inspecting and correcting the washer nozzle positioning and checking the washer fluid hose routing.

Unknown Or Other →1 issue
Your Jeep's cabin heat randomly stops working and blows cold air instead, particularly when the battery is low, making it impossible to defrost your windshield in winter conditions. The dealer initially dismissed this as normal but eventually tried replacing a coolant valve that can stick. Some owners have reported success with ECH (engine control module) replacements, though it's unclear which fix will resolve your specific issue.
