Your fuel pump is losing prime due to a crack in the housing or an internal hose inside the fuel tank. This causes long cranking times before the engine starts, stalling at red lights, and rough idling when accelerating. An independent service center has confirmed and reproduced this issue. The fix will likely involve inspecting the fuel pump assembly and replacing the cracked component or fuel pump unit.

Your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee may have trouble starting and require multiple restart attempts, which can wear out your starter and battery over time. The owner reports that Chrysler and Stellantis did not acknowledge a fuel pump relay recall related to this issue, resulting in costly repairs and trade-in value loss. The problem appears to stem from a faulty fuel pump relay that prevents the engine from starting normally. A diagnostic check and fuel pump relay replacement may be needed to resolve the starting issue.

Filed: Mar 2026

Your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee is experiencing engine misfires and overheating that create unsafe driving conditions. The engine shakes and runs roughly, the check engine light flashes, and you may lose power unexpectedly while driving; additionally, the vehicle is losing coolant and running hot. Even after multiple repair attempts including replacing ignition coils and spark plugs, the problem keeps coming back and the root cause hasn't been identified. A mechanic will need to perform comprehensive engine diagnostics to identify why the misfires and overheating are recurring, possibly involving ignition system testing, fuel system inspection, and cooling system pressure testing.

Your Jeep's battery drains completely in below-zero temperatures, leaving the vehicle unable to start. Even jump-starting doesn't work when the battery is severely drained. This can leave you and your passengers stranded in dangerous cold weather conditions.

While making a left turn, your steering didn't respond correctly and the wheels pointed toward the curb instead of following your intended path, causing the vehicle to hit the curb and stop. After the crash, you noticed the front right and rear passenger-side tires were turned sharply inward. The vehicle was towed and declared a total loss by insurance, though you weren't injured.

Your steering wheel is moving left and right on its own while driving straight on smooth roads, and your car feels like it's shifting side to side as if the tires are pulling in different directions. This erratic steering happens without you turning the wheel yourself. The issue likely involves your steering or suspension components and should be inspected by a mechanic to identify what's causing the unintended steering movements.

Your Jeep caught fire in your garage shortly after starting it, with flames visible from the front of the vehicle within minutes. There were no warning signs or symptoms before the fire started. The vehicle was destroyed, and the fire spread quickly enough to threaten your home and family. The root cause hasn't been identified, as the vehicle was burned to the frame before inspection could determine which component failed.

While driving on the highway with no other vehicles nearby, you heard a loud popping or banging sound and discovered your rear windshield had shattered, though you initially thought it might be a tire bursting. This happened without any impact or collision. Fixing this will require replacing the rear windshield, which is typically done by a glass repair specialist.

Both headlights on your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit have failed, but your dashboard warning system never alerted you to the problem. Your car has a headlight monitoring system that should detect when lights are out, but it didn't work in this case. Your headlights started blinking continuously while parked with the automatic headlight setting on, then the bulb turned red and the lights stopped working entirely. When you switched the headlights to manual on, they worked normally. The problem only occurred with the automatic setting. Your driver's seat belt doesn't retract properly — it hangs loose and requires you to shake it to make it pull back in.
