The oil filter housing is made of plastic, causing it to easily break most likely due to overtightening when getting an oil change, then this causes oil to leak onto the exhaust pipe being a potential fire hazard, since most people go get their oil changed at a business not themselves you wouldn't know until it is too late and nobody will accept fault, jeep needs to recall and make this housing out of metal to prevent this issue.

Oil leaks around the filter housing. Could lead to a fire on the manifold or exhaust. They have been having a lot of problems with filter housing failures.

On june 24, 2019 my 2015 jeep trailhawk lost power was after it was driven for 30 mins and parked for 30 mins in the morning. The battery and transmission warning lights were on. We replaced the battery and the transmission light remained on.

Air conditioning suction/discharge hose split and blew off the engine causing loss of air conditioning cooling while in motion on the highway. Recall #r57 clearly shows a recall for this hose being placed too close to the manifold and posing a fire risk or air conditioning loss or warning light.

Rocker bearings failed in the rear of the head. This impacted the right side intake camshaft. They replaced the rear intake and rear camshaft, rear and front rockers and also valve cover gaskets and upper intake seals. The only indication of a problem was a tapping sound coming from the engine. No warning lights on the console. If this had gone UN repaired the engine could have seized at any time while traveling causing an accident. The repair technician indicated that the new parts would not fail the way the original equipment failed. Chrysler has refused to pay for the repair.

I have a 2015 jeep cherokee sport 2.4l 4cyl. I bought it new in september of 2015. The original warranty is for 36,000 miles and at 41,000 miles, my check engine light came on.

Purchased brand new- at 20k miles had to have the gear shift motherboard replaced after the vehicle began to jolt when driving almost causing a wreck. It would jolt when coming to a stop or taking off. I was told it was the electrical component not relaying properly to tell the car to shift gears and what gear to shift to.

I noticed my motor was surging(refine up) when I would break and then eventually break when I continued to break. So I took to stetler dodge york pa and the said they weren't sure but there were flash updates that needed done in regards to the transmission so they needed to keep the jeep. They kept the jeep called and said the transmission module needed replaced so they replaced.

While my wife was driving today she noticed when trying to find a parking spot, the engine speed increased without foot on gas pedal, she had to hard brake to get vehicle to stop. I took it out tonight and as I was in city traffic the jeep would race up to 2000 rpms when foot was on the brake. I had to press on brake harder than normal to get the vehicle to not hit the car in front of me.

Knocking could lead to engine freeze. Caused by faulty rocker in engine.

While I am driving and the kuds in car, the car completely power off calling into park before switching on. I was in a big big trouble. I checked online and found that cars 2014-2017 had a call for PTU that causes the same horrible situation that I was in.

With the vehicle in motion and at all rates of speed, while braking, with the vehicle in drive, the engine and all electronics have shut off. Difficult to safely exit the road to put the vehicle in park and restart it. Has happened on multiple occasions now.

Driving on hwy. And it says "put in park" and stops running. After I put it in park then tried to crank, would not crank.

When going from a complete stop to accelerating, the vehicle is non-responsive to or delayed response to the depression of the gas pedal. This is especially dangerous when turning in intersections and stop signs. This is in on going issue and has happened on numerous occasions.

While driving, I've had two problems. One where when my transmission shifts from 4th to 5th the whole vehicle hits really hard. It's a very sudden and hard jerk.

When reaching the top of a hill, and you let off the gas, the car slams into gear extremely hard because the transmission can't adjust.

When shifting the service shifter error comes on and all the lights on the shift light up red. You have to stop the vehicle, put it in park, turn off the vehicle, and then finally restart it before the error will go away. The error will also occur while driving which then removes the speedometer from the dash and only displays the error until the vehicle has been turned off and then back on again.

The oil filter housing cracked.

Car is burning oil and shutting off on the road, which I or my children, can easily get hurt or killed. Have tried to have resolved numerous times with unsatisfactory results from the car lot. As advised from the service manager this is normal under chrysler standards.

When you let off the gas it speeds up and takes a little time to get it to go slower!

I am writing to express a "safety issue" relating to the push button start our new vehicle. While we are very happy with our vehicle, we recently had a scare with it. Both my husband and I are hearing impaired & I feel it is a safety risk to have a push button start vehicle as number one we park our jeep in our attached garage.

After using the automatic remote starter I get in the vehicle and put the key in the ignition and turn it to the "on" setting. I then drive the vehicle. A some point in the trip when I come to a complete stop the engine turns off and the emergency brake is automatically engaged.
