2015 Ram 1500 Suspension Problems

The air suspension on this vehicle continuously fails I've had to replace the rear airbags multiple times as well as the air compressor it will fail while driving down the interstate if it sits overnight will come back out to a truck that's completely on the ground it will fail and drain all the air out of the rear airbags but not the front or the left side but not the right side especially in colder climates.

I was driving down the road when the air suspension went out. My truck started bouncing and I almost lost control of my truck. I had to pull over and see what the issue was.

The vehicle suspension fails at random times and the truck bounces violently, but not all corners of the vehicle, which causes almost uncontrollable swerving. The suspension then rides on the bump stops and hits all bumps very hard. Sometimes you can stop, shut down and restart, let the vehicle idle for a few minutes and it will solve the problem temporarily.

Since december of 2018 my 2015 ram 1500 laramie longhorn has been in the shop a total of 5 times due to the air suspension failing. They've replaced the compressor on several occasions, replaced both front air bags, replaced fuses, compressor lines etc. Most recently I picked up my truck after it was int he shop for 2 weeks, 2 days later the suspension failed again.

Truck hits bumps and it like slides all over the road. And I have a clunking noise on passenger side don't know what it's from. Dealer looked couldn't find out what it was.

While driving 2,000 miles from home, on a highway at 65mph in montana while pulling a camper trailer, I got a message to immediately repair my air suspension system. I stopped, checked out the system and found the truck was sitting flat on the axle, causing an extremely rough ride. Other parts of the truck are shaking violently when road bumps are encountered.

I turned in a 2013 ram 1500 because the air ride suspension system failed four times in five months. On october 26, 2018, I looked at 12, yes 12, trucks and settled on a 2105 ram 1500 rebel, also with the air ride suspension. On february 8, 2109, the air ride suspension system failed on the 2105 ram too!

2015 ram 1500 sport 4x2 - when traveling on the highway at speeds above 65 MPH, the rear end begins to vibrate/shake to the point controlling the vehicle becomes a concern. If you slow down it goes away but then comes right back when going 65 or over again. Vibration is felt in the seat but not the steering wheel or pedals.

Air suspension has failed multiple times. The latest making it impossible to drive. Traction control also goes out with the air suspension, it's extremely difficult to maintain control on even the smoothest roads because every little bump jars the whole truck.

Observed several instances of the OEM air suspension system becoming disabled due to cold temperatures. Vehicle would fail to adjust ride height to normal, DIC woukd display message AIR SUSPENSION NOT AVAILABLE and would ride as if vehicle has no suspension. Any attempt to adjust would display message SELECTED REIGJT HEIGHT UNAVAILABLE.

Air suspension will randomly deflate on one side of the vehicle making steering difficult at highway speeds. Hitting a bump or discontinuity in the road while the frame is sitting on the bump-stops (when suspension is deflated) can cause the tire to jump or skip, temporary loosing traction. It can go days or weeks without occurring, or it can happen multiple times in one trip.

The service air suspension display comes on and instantly goes out with no stored codes according to dealership. While driving the rear air bags dump (deflate) completely empty. There has been times where this has happened at 70 MPH other times it has happened at 35-55 MPH.

I live in minnesota so obviously its a cold climate. My dodge rebel continually freezes in the downward position making driving it very difficult and a huge safety concern. Sometimes the issue happens while driving.

Air suspension would fail frequently in frigid temperatures. First occurred winter of 2016.was a regular occurrence until receiving a software update. Dealer told me the problem was a result of a software design flaw in the air suspension control module.

The factory air ride suspension has failed due to cold weather and handling at highway speeds is marginal. I have reported to the dealer but the service manager tells me this is a known problem and there isn't a fix

In cold weather the air ride suspension stops working. While sitting or driving the air bags lose all air pressure and drops all the way down to the bump stops. When I put more than 300lbs of load on the bed, driving at a speed greater than 65 MPH drive over a pot hole or small deep on the road/highway the truck starts bouncing around, start at the right front side to rear left side, to the point that the anti-lock brake kicked in, it is so unsafe that we and my family got so scare, I thought the truck was going to roll over, it has happened in multiple occasions, very very unsafe.

When below 20 degrees the air suspension loses its ability to maintain proper ride height. Sometimes the truck will sit nose down, rear down, or all but one corner down. Usually after sitting outside in the colder temps is when the truck starts to do this however once it has done so while moving at approximately 20 MPH.

Vibrations while driving ,noticeable in passenger seat, 50mph to 80mph mainly ,sometimes at lower torque uphill or around cones 50mph below, note all tires ,wheel balanced re road forced and new replacement tires , still vibrates, current odo 6 000 miles.

My vehicle has had a vibration at highway speeds between 65-75 MPH since I purchased it. The vibration is annoying and at times I've had to slow down to reduce the vibration which I feel could become unsafe. The vehicle rides smoother than any other pickup I've ever owned at lower speeds, my expectations are for it to ride the same way at any speed.

From day one I have had a severe vibration from the rear of my truck at speed above 60 MPH it will vibrate the floor board and front seat and center console severely. After many discussions with ram and the dealer have agreed to replace my good year sra 275-60-20 with a new set of tires same type. To rectify the problem they did so on 8-28-2015 9950 miles it has made no difference.

Hello, I have a Ram equipped with the Air Ride Suspension. It has been a long on going problem for me. It has been a safety concern as it involves with the Suspension of the vehicle and at random moments the front end of the truck will drop all the way down to the bump stops making it impossible to drive or steer.

Just like so many others, the air ride suspension service immediately message comes on at different times. The truck deflates to ride on no suspension and bounces and swerves every time you hit a bump. Super dangerous

Air suspension failed again while driving. This causes the truck to sit uneven or all the way down to the bump stops. This has been an ongoing issue since fca introduced the system.

Air suspension is failing and not inflating

I live in international falls, minnesota and our area recently sustained -30 below farenheit temperatures for an extended period of time. During this cold weather, the air ride suspension system quit working and I currently have no suspension. I am not the only person in the area that has had this problem with a dodge ram 1500 truck with air ride suspension.

A month after purchasing the truck, I received a notice of three recalls,air bags, left rear axel, and middle compartment door.

Only had the new 2015 ram 1500 laramie for a couple of days when the first occurance of 3 so far happened. When traveling on the freeway and I back off the gas to cruising speed the steering wheel shakes extremely hard and throughout the drive train violantently feeling like I'm losing control. Extremely scary and the truck only had about 400 miles on it when I purchased it about a month ago.
