Greetings all I had to put my truck in the shop because it started shuddering at 20 MPH and I could barely get anywhere in it. I'm not sure how much it is going to cost but he said your would take care of it. I was wondering would provide the shop with a purchase order for repairs if need be.

When I first purchased this vehicle it has always shifted hard and shuddered. I took it to the shop and they told me it was because my auto 4 wheel drive was on. It continued to have issues for the next couple of years and each time I took it in for an oil change they would tell me there was nothing wrong with it.

The transmission on this truck has not been right from the beginning. When starting in the morning it will do one of three things: surges and transmission skips, hesitate and then race or jump ahead, or chunk and thunk like it really doesn't want to go to work and shifts hard when it does. I keep asking when gm will take care of this problem and I keep getting the run around.

I've noticed since the first month of owner ship back in 2018, that something was wrong with my transmission. I own a 2017 chevy silverado with the 8 speed transmission. Not only had it been discouraging, it's disturbing, and possibly even unsafe.

TSB - 16-NA-175 AND TSB 18-NA-355. HOPEFULLY ADDING TO THE LONG LIST OF COMPLAINTS HELPS GET CHEVY TO ISSUE A "RECALL" OR SOMETHING SIMILAR TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE WITH THE FLUSH PROCEDURES OR SIMILAR FIXES.

HARD DOWNSHIFTING WHEN GOING DOWN HILLS AT SLOW SPEED. JERKING AND CLUNKING NOISE, AND RPM GOES UP AND SOUNDS LIKE GEARS ARE GRINDING. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TELL ME NOTHING IS WRONG. IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME I AM GOING DOWN A HILL WITH THE BREAKS APPLIED AND GOING AT A SLOW SPEED. THE TRUCK JERKED SO BAD THAT THE SEAT BELT LOCKED.

Passenger air bag off light inoperable. Check 4 wheel drive warning comes on intermittently. Dealer charged $138.00 but could not find any problems.

TRUCK DOWN AND UPSHIFTS HARD. WHEN SLOWING DOWN FOR A CAR IN FRONT OF ME, WHEN I GET BACK ON THE GAS, THE TRUCK HAS NO POWER LIKE IT CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT GEAR TO BE IN. MAKES A LOUD CLUNKING NOISE WITH LIGHT ACCELERATION FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR. THERE IS MAJOR HESITATION WHEN TRYING TO DOWN SHIFT NO MATTER WHAT GEAR I'M IN. PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE FIXED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS INJURED. BEEN TO CHEVY 3 TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND ALL THEY TELL ME IS THE TRANSMISSION WILL LEARN HOW YOU DRIVE. DRIVING FROM CONNECTICUT TO SOUTH CAROLINA MY TRUCK DEVELOPED A BAD VIBRATION BETWEEN 45MPH TO 70MPH. THE DEALER SAYS THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE FLUSHED. THIS VEHICLE HAS 34K FOR MILES. THEY CLAIM THAT NO DAMAGE IS BEING DONE TO THE TRANSMISSION. THIS I BELIEVE IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. THE VEHICLE IS STILL AT THE DEALERSHIP AND MY FAMILY AND I ARE STRANDED WHILE THEY CLAIM THAT GM NEEDS READING BEFORE THEY CAN FLUSH THE TRANSMISSION FLUID.

TRANSMISSION HAS STOPPED WORKING PROPERLY.

WHEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (ANYWHERE BETWEEN 40-75) THERE IS A VERY NOTICEABLE SHAKING WHEN ENGINE IS UNDER LIGHT LOAD (JUST KEEPING SPEED). I HAVE TAKEN IN TO CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND THEY CHANGED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND THAT WORKED FOR A COUPLE THOUSAND MILES. NOT THE "CHEVY SHAKE" IS BACK AT FULL FORCE. UPON CALLING CHEVY, THEY CLAIM TO KNOW THAT THEIR TRUCKS DO THIS, BUT SAY THERE IS NOT A FIX TO SOLVE THE ISSUE. THEY CLAIM THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHERE IT'S COMING FROM, BUT SHOULD NOT BE A SAFETY HAZARD. MY QUESTION IS, IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS, HOW CAN THEY SAY IT'S NOT A SAFETY HAZARD. I AM SO AFRAID THAT MY TRUCK IS GOING TO BREAK DOWN AND IT'S NOT EVEN TWO YEARS OLD. I HAVE READ THE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE WITH PEOPLE HAVING THE EXACT SAME ISSUE, SINCE THE 2014 MODEL. THEY HAVE HAD ENOUGH TIME TO FIGURE THIS OUT AND SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING AT 72000 MILES, REPLACEMENT OR REBUILD.

SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING MY TRUCK, I BEGAN EXPERIENCING HARD SHIFTS, GEAR SEARCHING, CLUNKING AND HANGING BETWEEN GEARS. OCCASIONALLY THE SHIFT WOULD BE SO HARD IT WOULD FEEL AS THOUGH THE TRUCK WAS STRUCK FROM BEHIND BY ANOTHER VEHICLE OR OBJECT. MULTIPLE TRIPS TO THE DEALER HAS RESULTED IN NUMEROUS ATTEMPTED FIXES WITH NO RELIEF OF THE PROBLEM. CURRENTLY THE TRUCK IS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP HAVING THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION REPLACED. THIS IS CAUSING A DEPRECIATION OF THE VALUE OF THE TRUCK AS WELL AS AN UNSAFE CONDITION WHILE DRIVING.

TRUCK TRANSMISSION WAS GOOD UNTIL ABOUT 2,000 MILES. TRUCK HAS DELAYS WHEN PUTTING IN GEAR AFTER IT SITS OVERNIGHT. TRUCK HAS HARSH LOW SPEED DOWNSHIFTS. PROBLEMS ARE REAL BAD WHEN VEHICLE IS COLD. WHEN YOU COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND LET OFF THE BRAKE THE TRUCK WILL SOMETIMES LUNGE FORWARD. TOOK TRUCK BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT IT AND THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG SO I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A WEEK LATER WITH ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. THEY DID A "TIMING" TEST AND FELT THE DELAY AND DID 16NA364 UPDATE. IT SEEMED TO HELP FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AND PROBLEM RETURNED. BOTH DEALERSHIPS ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT GM IS NOT PROVIDING A FIX. I NOW WARM THE TRUCK UP A FEW MINUTES BEFORE DRIVING TO HELP WITH DELAYED GEAR ENGAGEMENT. HARSH DOWNSHIFTS CONTINUE WITH THE LUNGING AND SLOW RESPONSE AT TIMES WHEN APPLYING GAS PETAL. YOU HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DRIVING THIS TRUCK BECAUSE OF THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THIS NOT TO BE A MAJOR PROBLEM. THIS VEHICLE STICKER PRICE WAS $64,000 DOLLARS. I WISH I HAD MY OLD TRUCK BACK BECAUSE IT WAS RELIABLE AND NOT POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. GENERAL MOTORS NEED FIX THIS PROBLEM OR AT LEAST GIVE AN FREE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE DEALERS WILL FIX THE TRANSMISSION IF GM WILL TELL THEM HOW.

VERY HARD SHIFT GOING FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR AND FROM 2ND GEAR TO 1ST GEAR. THE SHIFT WAS SO HARD THAT THE TIRES MADE A CHIRPING NOISE AND HARDLY ANY THROTTLE WAS BEING USED.

EXPERIENCING HESITATION/'CHUGGLE'/CONVERTOR SLIP IN 2ND-6TH GEAR IN V8 MODE WHEN ROLLING INTO THE THROTTLE AND PUTTING THE ENGINE UNDER LOAD ON A HIGHWAY. ESPECIALLY NOTICEABLE WHEN IN 4TH 5TH OR 6TH GEAR,1500-1850 RPM, LOADING THE ENGINE TO ACCELERATE 55-60MPH, 60-70MPH. OR WHEN ACCELERATING ON AN INCLINE AT SAME SPEEDS WITHOUT DOWNSHIFTING. OR WHEN SLOWLY APPLYING THROTTLE TO MAINTAIN SPEED (65+) AGAINST A HEAD WIND OR WHEN TRYING TO PASS A CAR. ALL WHILE MAINTAINING CURRENT GEAR AND NO DOWNSHIFTING.

AT LOW SPEEDS UNDER BRAKING WHEN DOWNSHIFTING FROM GEAR 2 TO 1, THE SHIFT IS NOT SMOOTH. THERE IS A SIGNIFICANTLY LOUD CLUNK THAT YOU CAN FEEL AND HEAR, AND PASSENGER SAFETY IS COMPROMISED DUE TO A SUDDEN LURCH FORWARD.

When going slow and the truck shifts from 1st gear to 2nd gear you can hear and feel a strong knock and it pulls the truck this also happens when going down in gears from 2nd to 1st at slow pace and it doesn't happen all the time but more often then not if your driving slow like in a parking lot it happens 6/10 times took it to the dealer stated no recall but they are aware of the issue but were instructed not to do anything to the truck verified google and a lot of other people are having the same issue

A rough clunk noise occurs when trying to stop, and car actually revs to accelerate speed when applying breaking and trying to stop. Motion) this is a dangerous issue. Transmission does not appear to smoothly enter into subsequent gears.

6.2l engine with 8 speed transmission. Erratic transmission shifting including downshifts so hard on the highway the rear wheels will lock up momentarily and throw occupants forward. Taking off from stoplight will intermittently experience delayed engagement and engine will rev to almost 1500rpms before the transmission engages.

The pickup shakes at speeds typically between 30-45 and 55-75. It shakes hard enough and long enough at times where at higher speeds becomes dangerous because it compromises the steering where the truck can come off its line and become unstable. It will also shake randomly and for unknown periods of time.

6.2l engine had faulty injectors and had to be replaced. Gm said my truck had a warranty block so I had to contact the bbb and go to mediation to get injectors replaced. Now I'm noticing a shudder (vibration) while driving with a fluttering of the RPM's.

Engine hesitation, or misfiring. Jerking, or transmission shuttering when engine is at low RPM and on incline.

Purchased my 17 chevrolet silverado 1500 on 11/28/17 and returned it to the dealership on 12/1/17. This was due to a severe shuddering & shifting in the transmission & severe shake in the front end at 70-90mph. They balanced & rotated the tires, saying the issue was fixed, I picked the vehicle back up on 12/4/17 but the issue was not fixed & an electrical issue had also occurred.

Truck exhibits a rough idle after truck is driven and warm. Idle causes teh truck to shake and feels like it will die at stops. RPM drops below 300 RPM then goes back to 490 RPM.

8 speed transmission shift very rough from 1-2 and 2-1 gears, frequently hesitates, makes clunking sound. Have taken it to gm dealer and am informed that yes, that's the way the 8 speeds are. This is a $50k + truck.

Transmission shifts hard and vehicle surges at low speed with accompaning "clunk". Problem occurs in both upshift and down shift. Dealer informs me that is a "learning" curve for vehicle to understand my driving habits.

Noticed after purchase that there is vibration like a bad tire 35-42 MPH. Vibration felt in seat,console and steering wheel 58-65 MPH. Transmission down shifts hard sometimes feels like being bumped from behind,it also hesitates and jerks after letting off the accelerator and accelerating again between 25-45 MPH.

When coming to a stop hearing a clunk in the drive train had same issue with 2016 silverado chevrolet replaced control module and calibrated gears on 2016 but when I told them about the same issue with the 2017 I was told this is normal so why would they waste time and money trying to repair an issue in their words is not an issue is beyond me, this needs to be recall item befroe mechanical failures resut in injuries or loss of lives.

The vehicle's transmission does not operate consistently and safely. At times, the transmission will not engage, and this has placed my family in very dangerous situations when changing lanes. At red lights, at times, the transmission will not engage to drive.

While driving on Highway 35 in Austin, Texas, my vehicle's transmission unexpectedly failed, which placed myself and my passengers in a precarious situation. The vehicle became inoperable on the side of the highway, necessitating that my passengers and I manually push it while traffic was actively flowing. This mechanical issue occurred without any prior indication.

Transmission went out while driving the vehicle and left it stuck in the middle of the intersection we had to push it though traffic. It had no forward movement. Would only drive in reverse.

Premature engine failure specifically the lifters failed and the push rod failed causing the vehicle to become unusable and stranding the operator. Also transmission surges and slips causing unsafe driving conditions

I have lost my brakes when reversing, however I have good brakes when driving forward. The transmission is also slipping and the torque converter in the transmission is becoming very worn ALREADY. I do not tow anything with this vehicle, and I only have 73,411 miles on this truck.

When stopping truck jerks, downshifts and lurches forward. While driving over 45mph truck does not seem to shift properly and jerks intermitantly and sounds different than before. 2017 silverado with 47,000 miles on it, bought brand new!

I own a 2017 Silverado 1500 ecoTech V6, 6L80 transmission, 91500 - over the weekend, I started having an issue shifting from 3rd to 4th. I noticed the transmission was over 190 degrees, as high as 230 degrees, then cooling back to 194. When attempting to shift from 3rd the 4th, it will start, then return to 3rd.

Transmission went out at 39,000 miles!!!

The steraring wheel shutters, after a few transmission flushes , it went away but still kicks hard when going through gears. The lifters failed in my vehicle 2 times , rods were bent.

Not sure if it is a torque converter or the transmission there are no codes reading on the computer but multiple times when driving, I will lose all power in Drive and it will take a few minutes to catch up before it goes back in the drive and accelerates

I spent 40k cash for my 2017 high country to find out GM great idea of AFM and no good 10 speed transmission/torque converter was made with low quality and careless parts. I'm definitely getting me a lawyer to fix this [XXX] because all I've ever wanted was this body style but all they care about is money over quality. GM and they're retail sellers knew about AFW problems and sold us [XXX] anyway.

Transmission jerks,surges ahead,clunks when downshifting and is completely unpredictable. Checked transmission fluid and everything is good. This is a serious issue as you never know what’s going to happen

When stop and starts going you can feel that gear gets stuck and it takes a sudden jump to the next gear and goes forward.

My 2017 Chevy Silverado was giving me minor issues about two weeks previously, I was coming on the road and hear like something broken in pieces. I stop at the light and when I was to go forward to continue my with driving the truck was going backwards.. so scary thanks God, I didn't press the acceleration fast I would it have hit the car on back of me .

The transmission lost every gear but 1st, 2nd. I was driving it down the highway when it lost the gear putting myself, other motor vehicles, and pedestrians safety at risk. The transmissions are known to by others and gm to lose gears or blow and no recall has been issued to rectify the issues.

Lifter failure in cylinder 1. It is a known issue 8 speed transmission shutter and hard shifts.

ran system check and found code p0796 performed test drive and found torque converter switch slipping-checked fluid in the pan found excessive amount of debris removed transmission and disassembled finding 4-5-6 clutch burnt mup and debis went through the valve body and tcm - bushings are also damaged from debris , 75400 milees on 2017 silverado truck

Brake assist issue I have a pic and transmission is HORRIBLE couldn’t even take on vacation had to get a rental it shutters really bad no help with fixing it

The transmission has to be change after 80k Also the fuel injectors were replace after 60k.

The clutch torque converters wear out so fast and they wear out so close to the end of the vehicles warranty

Transmission shutters when accelerating accelerating uphill. Accelerator difficult to press when accelerating and most times have to downshift two gears to get up to the desired speed and eliminate said shutter

Have notice a rough shift from 1-2gear or 2-1gear, specially when going up hill & I let my foot off the pedal. Huge bang like if the gears were or are slipping in the transmission or rear end. I have an ltz 4x4 with approx.
