I notice a burnt smell under the truck after coming home and seen oil all under my truck. I was afraid to drive it after I seen a huge leak . I filled it up with oil and took it to the deal stated 2 engine seal open when engain had pressure during a drive .

THE ENGINE BLOCK HEATER CORD WAS RECALLED ON MY 2017 CHEVY DURAMAX DIESEL. I BROUGHT MY TRUCK TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP ON AUGUST 21, 2019 FOR THE RECALL AND THE CORD WAS SIMPLY CUT OFF. AT THAT TIME THERE WAS NOT A REMEDY FOR THE RECALL. I CALLED CHEVROLET CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE TODAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2019, TO CHECK ON THIS RECALL AS THE TEMPERATURE IN KANSAS IS BECOMING VERY COLD AND I AM NEEDING THE ENGINE BLOCK HEATER. I SPOKE WITH SABRINA AND HER SUPERVISOR MICHAEL WHO BOTH INFORMED ME THE NEW ENGINE BLOCK HEATER CORD HAS BEEN RELEASED TO COLD WEATHER STATES, NOT KANSAS. THE ONLY WAY FOR ME TO GET THE CORD FOR MY TRUCK WOULD BE TO DRIVE TO COLORADO, THE CLOSEST STATE TO KANSAS THAT THE CORD HAS BEEN RELEASED TO. When variable timing of vehicle shuts down two cylinders, switching truck from v6 to v4 with RPM's at or below 1,500k, the truck begins to miss/shutter. This occurs and on road type, any weather condition. At times the vibrations of this miss/shutter can be a bit violent.

Our 2017 High Country 1500 Chevy Silverado is garage-kept and has very low mileage (73k). But it has the Active Fuel Management (AFM) system, which just caused lifter failure, thus causing catastrophic engine damage. In research, we discovered newer models with the AFM have been recalled for this exact problem.

Nothing yet. Between doing research and general observation the DOD/AFM is a known issue for these motors. The engine will randomly loose a valve and cause the engine to shut down causing for a major Saftey concern if traveling or towing

It feels like it is licking into the four wheel drive going down the road with speeds up to 30 miles it feels like it begins to jerk I have heard other owners of this vehicle type are saying a possible recall on the transmission
