Your 2023 Toyota Tundra is subject to a recall (Campaign 25V767000) related to the engine and cooling system, but the necessary repair parts aren't yet available at your dealer. You've experienced brief power loss while accelerating, and you're concerned that Toyota has taken too long to make the repair available. The recall repair will likely involve replacing or servicing engine cooling components once parts become available.

After changing your engine oil at 36,000 miles, you discovered metal fragments in the used oil, which can indicate internal engine wear or damage. Your Toyota dealer confirmed there are no recalls for your vehicle and did not perform a diagnosis or repair. Toyota opened a case but directed you to NHTSA for further assistance. The issue may require an engine inspection to identify the source of the metal particles and determine if internal engine components need replacement.

Your panoramic sunroof suddenly shattered and exploded upward while you were driving, scattering glass onto the sunroof shade and into the truck bed. The closed shade prevented glass from falling into the cabin, but if it had been open, shards could have fallen into your face while driving. The manufacturer has indicated this was caused by a defect rather than any external impact or object. The sunroof glass will likely need to be completely replaced and the frame inspected for damage.

Your replacement engine, installed in December 2025, has developed serious problems. You've experienced engine vibration, hesitation at certain speeds, and most dangerously, a complete loss of power while driving 65 mph on the highway in February 2026—your dashboard flooded with error codes. After turning the engine off and restarting it, power returned, but this is a critical safety issue. The dealership will need to diagnose why the newly replaced engine is malfunctioning and likely replace or repair it.

Filed: Mar 2026

Your 2023 Tundra is subject to two unresolved safety recalls. The first involves a potential engine defect from manufacturing debris that could cause your engine to stall suddenly, especially while towing or driving on the highway — this is particularly concerning since you use your truck for towing. The second recall involves a reverse lamp failure that reduces visibility when backing up and increases crash risk. Toyota has not yet provided a repair or timeline for either issue, so you've had to limit towing and long-distance driving to stay safe. The fix will require waiting for Toyota to develop and release a repair remedy for both the engine defect and the reverse lamp system.

Your truck has been experiencing delayed throttle response for several months, and recently went into limp mode with a check engine light and loss of power warning. The dealer found turbocharger failure but cannot replace it due to an active engine recall on your vehicle, leaving your truck at the dealership with no confirmed repair timeline. The turbocharger and potentially the entire engine may need to be replaced as part of addressing the recall.

After starting your 2023 Toyota Tundra and turning on the seat heaters and window defrosters, you noticed a burning smell that got stronger quickly. Within 200 feet of driving, you saw smoke coming from under the hood and discovered an electrical fire in the engine compartment. This happened during normal driving with no crash involved.

Your 2023 Tundra has two open safety recalls — one filed in May 2025 and another in November 2025 — but neither has a remedy available yet. Toyota initially said the November recall would be fixed by early February, but that deadline has passed. You're concerned that these safety issues remain unresolved for extended periods, leaving you and your family at risk.
