Your driver's door lock gets stuck in the locked position, preventing you from unlocking it manually from inside the car or with your key fob. When this happens, you're forced to climb over the center console to exit, which is dangerous in an emergency and impossible for older drivers or those with mobility issues. The door actuator that normally responds to your remote isn't working properly, making it difficult to access your car quickly.
