Your Jeep's oil filter housing can leak, crack, or break even in normal weather conditions, and the problem gets worse in extreme heat, cold, or when parked outside. Oil leaks from the housing down onto the transmission, driveline, and ground, which harms the environment and can make roads slippery. If the leak isn't fixed and oil drains completely from the engine, the engine could seize and stop running entirely. The fix will involve replacing the oil filter housing and inspecting the engine for any damage from oil loss.

Loud rattle noise on start up and ticking sound when running. Also using a little antifreeze. There is no antifreeze leaks.
This vehicle is notorious for a common issue yet that same issue which has not been recalled is the reason my engine blew on the highway and Jeep has failed to notify owners of this issue or give some sort of reimbursement. My Jeep was cruising just fine when my engine suddenly blew, it was well maintained and taken care of. Despite the great care the oil housing unit which many others have complained about cracked leaking all the oil in a matter of minutes. This essential piece failing and releasing all the oil caused my engine to blow. Jeep is notorious for having a plastic oil housing unit with no heat shield since it is inbetween both engine bays. Having the unit where it is while creating the piece out of plastic seems like a text-book way to have catastrophic failure and further profit off complete engine failure. This material design flaw has now cost me nearly $800 come to find out I need a total engine replacement now which will be around $4000. This is completely unacceptable a vehicle was allowed to be put on the road with such a catastrophic design flaw and physically endangered me when this happened. In the attached files you can see the pooling of oil, I also have official reference from a local auto shop and screenshots of multiple online complaints.

fuel supply line going to the engine leaking gas directly onto engine. I started smelling gas and upon inspection found the leak. I googled it and found numerous links with people having the same issue. Definitely poses a safety hazard.
The Fuel Supply Tube part #68141849AD cracked, causing fuel to leak into the engine bay when the car was started. The entire cabin filled with gas fumes so intensely my eyes would water.
The car just shuts off without warning while driving. We’ve had this car for 6 months and had to put in the shop 4 times on different occasions without a resolution. This causes a major safety risk which could lead to a catastrophic accident. This has not been inspected by the manufacturer as of yet.

The vehicle was later taken to a second dealer who diagnosed that the engine had experienced low compression leak and multiple misfires. The contact was informed that the cylinder head, engine valves, and springs needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that that a VIN was not included in the Extended Coverage for the failure. The failure mileage was 57,000.
At around 85k miles the vehicle began developing a loud tick. It appears every vehicle with this motor or similar motor with the same internal Valve Rocker Arms have this problem. This Jeep problem is so bad that the parts are on a 2 month back order and every dealer admits they have a problem. The repair isn't cheap and entails the entire top of the motor to be exposed and virtually rebuilt. For a vehicle with only 85k miles this is a terrible situation that jeep has put their owners in. This is clearly an issue that should be rectified by the manufacturer.

The contact has made several calls to customer service submitting claims and denied. The vin number was not included in the service bulletin and the contact believes several vins are missing from the list.

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.
The oil filter housing assembly was found to be cracked during a routine oil change. The oil could leak into the transmission and eventually catch fire. A mechanic has confirmed this is the issue. It will cost approximately $800 to repair. The mechanic indicated he has seen this in the majority of Jeep Wranglers he has serviced and he doesn't understand why a recall has not been issued on this part. This part is made of plastic and can easily crack.

BROUGHT 2013 WRANGLER TO DEALER FOR CONSTANT P0304 CODE AFTER REPLACING IGNITION COILS AND SPARK PLUGS. DEALER DID A COMPRESSION LEAK TEST TO VERIFY THAT THE 4TH CYLINDER HEAD WAS BAD AND NEED REPLACING AND WILL COST $3700.00 FOR THE REPAIR. I HAD ASKED ABOUT THE SERVICE BULLETIN 09-002-14 AND MY VEHICLE IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE X56 CODE EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE CYLINDER HEAD. I CALLED CHRYSLER/JEEP AS RECOMMENDED BY THE DEALER, AND THEY TOLD ME TO CALL THE DMV.
ENGINE OIL COOLER HAS FAILED 2 TIMES ONCE AT AROUND 70K MILES AND AGAIN AT 90K MILES. OIL LEAKS ON TOP OF ENGINE BLOCK AND RUNS DOWN THE BACK TO THE TRANSMISSION ON TO THE EXHAUST AND COULD EASILY CAUSE A FIRE. FIAT DOES NOT CARE WHEN I REPORTED IT AND IT IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE IN MULTIPLE VEHICLES. DEALER WANTED $3,000 TO REPLACE IT WHEN THE PROBLEM WAS 12 DOLLAR O RINGS ON THE ADAPTER. THE PLASTIC HOUSING THAT SITS ON TOP OF A HOT ENGINE FLEXES AND ALLOWS THE O RINGS TO LEAK. THERE HAS TO BE A WAY TO REPLACE THAT PART WITH SOMETHING SAFER BUT THEY WONT CAUSE IT WOULD COST THEM TO MUCH MONEY AND GOOD LUCK PROVING WHAT HAPPENED TO START THE FIRE WHEN THE PLASTIC HOUSING JUST BURNS AWAY IN A FIRE OR YOUR ENGINE BLOWS TO LOW OIL.
WHEN THE JEEP IS PUT INTO REVERSE FIRST THING AFTER SITTING FOR A WHILE THE VEHICLE STALLS WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS APPLIED. IF THE BREAK PEDAL IS SLOWLY RELEASED, THE JEEP WILL STUTTER AND ALMOST STALL BUT STAYS RUNNING.
JEEP HAS DEVELOPED A TICKING NOISE THAT HAS BECOME LOUDER AND LOUDER, NOISE IS PRESENT WHETHER VEHICLE IS STATIONARY OR IN MOVEMENT AND INCREASES WITH THE SPEED OF THE VEHICLE. MECHANIC ADVISED THAT IT IS FAULTY ROCKERS AND THAT THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED. HE ALSO ACKNOWLEDGED THIS IS AN EXTREMELY COMMON PROBLEM WITH ALL PENSTAR 3.6L IN ALL CHRYSLER PRODUCTS.
MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER STARTED HAVING A CODE THAT READ "MISFIRE ON CYLINDER 6" AT ABOUT 55,000 MILES. AFTER CHANGING THE SPARK PLUGS AND IGNITION COILS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE BANK OF CYLINDERS (2,4,AND 6) THE TROUBLE CODE STILL CONTINUED TO POP UP ABOUT EVERY WEEK OR TWO. I THEN TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL JEEP, CHRYSLER, RAM DEALER TO INVESTIGATE FURTHER. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH I FOUND OUT THAT THE CYLINDER HEADS ON THE PENTASTAR ENGINE IN THE 2012 AND 2013 JEEP WRANGLERS WERE HAVE MANY, MANY ISSUES WITH THE BAD CYLINDER HEADS BECAUSE OF THERE WAS TWO DIFFERENT METALS USED BETWEEN THE ENGINE BLOCK AND THE CYLINDER HEAD CAUSING IT TO WARP AND CAUSE COMPRESSION ISSUES IN THE CYLINDER. JEEP WAS WELL AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM BUT REFUSED TO THIS DAY TO ISSUE A RECALL. AFTER THE DEALER TOOK THE ENGINE APART TO INVESTIGATE, HE ADMITTED TO THE FACT THAT IT WAS A BAD CYLINDER HEAD. THIS MISFIRE ON CYLINDER 6 OCCURRED MOSTLY WHEN IDLING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR AT VERY LOW SPEEDS. THE KICKER IN ALL OF THIS EVEN THOUGH JEEP ADMITTED A FAULTY CYLINDER HEAD WAS THE CAUSE OF THE LOSS OF COMPRESSION, THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE THE CYLINDER HEAD AT THEIR COST. BECAUSE JEEP DID NOT HAVE MY VIN NUMBER IN THEIR LIST TO BE REPAIRED, IT WAS UP TO ME TO PICK UP THE COST. I DID NOTHING IN THE TIME THAT I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE (ORIGINAL OWNER) TO MAKE A CYLINDER HEAD BECOME WARPED. THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE PENTASTAR ENGINE FROM THE BEGINNING. TOO BAD JEEP DOESN'T DO THE RIGHT THING AND REPAIR THESE PENTASTAR ENGINE ISSUES AT THEIR EXPENSE RATHER THAN HEAPING MORE RESPONSIBILITY ON THE CONSUMER. *TR

FIVE STAR CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF MACON LOCATED AT (3068 RIVERSIDE DR, MACON, GA 31210, (478)345-8899) CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE WARRANTY COVERAGE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
VEHICLE HAS JUST OVER 65K MILES ON IT AND HAS BEEN MAINTAINED PROPERLY WITH REGULAR OIL CHANGES. TICKING NOISE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE ENGINE. TURNED OUT THE LIFTERS AND CAM SHAFT HAD FAILED. REPLACED BY DEALER AT A TOTAL COST OF JUST OVER $2400. BASED ON NUMEROUS JEEP FORUM VISITS AND RESEARCH, THIS IS A PART DEFECT IN THE CAM LIFTER AND IS EPIDEMIC. FCA IS REQUIRING OWNERS TO PAY FOR THEIR POOR QUALITY PARTS BEING INSTALLED IN THEIR 3.6L PENTASTAR ENGINES. HAVE FCA ISSUE A RECALL AND REIMBURSE THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN CHARGED TO REPLACE THEIR FAULTY PARTS.
I WENT TO HAVE THE OIL CHANGED AND THE TECHNICIAN FOUND TSB 09-009-18 PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE HAD BROKEN AND ALL OF THE PIECES WERE MISSING BUT TWO SMALL PLASTIC PARTS. THEY SHOWED ME THE TSB AND I WAS UNABLE TO DRIVE THE JEEP UNTIL THE OIL FILER ADAPTER WAS REPLACED OR THE PLASTIC PARTS COULD POSSIBLY MIGRATE AND BLOW UP MY ENGINE.
THE OIL FILTER HOUSING/COOLING ASSEMBLY IS PLASTIC, CHEAP, AND LOCATED RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ENGINE. MINE, ALONG WITH MANY OTHER JEEPS OF THIS MAKE AND MODEL HAVE THEM FAIL WELL UNDER 30,000 MILES. THIS CAUSES MASSIVE ENGINE OIL LOSS WHICH IN TURN CAUSES ENGINE DAMAGE. THIS IS A HUGE RIP OFF CONSIDERING THE PART COSTS ~$500. CHRYSLER SHOULD FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY ON ALL JEEPS.

THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED AT FIVE STAR CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF MACON 3068 RIVERSIDE DR, MACON, GA 31210 WHERE THEY INFORMED HER THAT THE ONLY RECALL ON THE VEHICLE WAS FOR THE AIR BAG. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,457.

FAILURE OF OIL COOLER HOUSING, NOTICED OIL BURNING SMELL LOOKED UNDER THE JEEP AND SAW OIL EVERYWHERE
THE 3.6 ENGINE HAS DEVELOPED A TICK FROM INAD ROCKER ARMS. THE ARMS ARE KNOWN TO BE FAULTY AND MANY VEHICLES HAVE STALLED AT HIGH SPEEDS DUE TO THE ISSUE. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED
REOCCURRING CLOGGING OF THE ENGINE COOLANT SYSTEM, CAUSING VERY LOW HEAT AVAILABLE FOR DEFROSTING OF THE WINDSHIELD IN BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES. I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM ON THIS MODEL OF JEEP WRANGLER. EFFECT IS AT ITS WORST DURING CITY DRIVING

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HENDRICK CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM DULUTH (2473 PLEASANT HILL RD, DULUTH, GA 30096, (678) 369-6704) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ROCKERS AND BEARINGS WERE FAULTY. THE DEALER ASSUMED THAT THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE CAM SHAFT AND WOULD NEED TO TAKE APART THE ENGINE TO CONFIRM. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,000.

ENGINE BEGAN MAKING TICKING NOISE FROM ENGINE BAY AT ABOUT 77,000 MILES. JEEP HAS BEEN SERVICED AS REQUIRED WITH QUALITY SYNTHETIC OIL AND FILTERS SINCE NEW. DONE MORE OFTEN THAN JEEP REQUIRES. TOOK TO DEALER WHO AGREED IT WAS MAKING NOISE AND NEEDED FIXED. WHEN VALVE COVERS WERE REMOVED THEY FOUND ROCKER ARMS BAD ON 2 CYLINDERS AND TAPPETS COLLAPSED ON 3 CYLINDERS. SERVICE MANAGER SAID THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM THAT CHRYSLER KNOWS ABOUT. THEY HAVE A STAR CASE BULLETIN, # S1309000016 PUBLISHED ABOUT THIS. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND CHRYSLER SHOULD HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS. ROCKER ARM BEARINGS NOT HARDENED CORRECTLY IS WHAT THEY TOLD ME. BEING OUT OF WARRANTY, I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TO FIX THIS.
MY WIFE'S JEEP HAS HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE HEATER FOR THE LAST 2 MONTHS. THE DRIVER SIDE VENTS ARE BLOWING COLD AIR AND THE PASSENGER SIDE VENTS ARE BLOWING WARM AIR ONLY. THIS IS A NEW ISSUE SINCE WE HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE STARTING IN JUNE 2016.
WITH NO LEAKS AND LESS THAN 65,000 MILES, THE AMOUNT OF HEAT PRODUCED THROUGH THE VEHICLES HEATING SYSTEM HAS BEEN STEADILY DIMINISHING TO THE POINT THAT IT NOW ONLY BLOWS COOL AIR. THIS CONDITION IS PRESENT EVEN AFTER THE VEHICLE IS UP TO OPERATING TEMPERATURE AND HAS BEEN IN CONTINUOUS OPERATION. RESEARCH HAS INDICATED THAT A ENGINE COMPONENT MANUFACTURING DEFECT (CASTING SAND RESIDUE) HAS DIRECTLY CAUSED THIS CONDITION WITH THE SAND RESIDUE ACCUMULATING IN THE HEATER CORE AND RESTRICTING/BLOCKING THE FLOW OF COOLANT THROUGH THE HEATER CORE.
CONSTANT TICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE TOP OF THE ENGINE. THIS TICKING NOISE IS MADE FROM WORN OUT ROCKER ARMS/ CAM LIFTERS AS THE CAMSHAFT ROTATES. THE BEARING MATERIAL IN THE LIFTERS IS NOT HARDENED STEEL AND CAN DEGRADE. ALL 3.6L PENTASTAR ENGINES ARE AFFECTED BY THESE DEFECTIVE ROCKER ARMS. IF THE ROCKER ARMS ARE DAMAGED NO CODE WILL SHOW. THE FIRST SINES WILL BE A LOSS IN FUEL EFFICACY. AS THE CAMSHAFT WEARS DOWN CHANGING THE DISPLACEMENT OF THE CYLINDERS THIS WILL START CAUSING MISFIRE AND STALLING DURING NORMAL DRIVING/ ACCELERATION. EVENTUALLY, WARE DEBRIS CAN FALL INTO THE CYLINDER AND DAMAGE THE HEAD. I FIRST TOOK MY JEEP TO THE DEALERSHIP AT 60K MILES TO DIAGNOSE. WITH NO CODES SHOWING I WAS TOLD EVERYTHING IN THE ENGINE CHECKED OUT AND THE TICKING NOISE WAS FROM THE VALVES. NOW AT 84K MILES ONE OF THE ROCKER ARMS IS DEFINITELY FAILING AND STILL NOT SHOWING CODES. THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT COVER REPLACEMENT UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THE PURCHASE DATE WAS 5 1/2 YEARS AGO. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 3.6L PENTASTAR. CHRYSLER HAS PROVIDED TECHNICAL BULLETINS TO VISUALLY IDENTIFY DEFECTIVE ROCKERS BUT ARE NOT PROVIDING EXTENDED WARRANTY OR RECALL ON THIS PART. WHILE AT THE DEALERSHIP THE TECHNICIAN SAID THEY HANDLE A LOT OF ROCKER ARM REPLACEMENTS ON PENTASTAR ENGINES, 5 TO 10 A WEEK! CHRYSLER SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR SOURCING AND INSTALLING DEFECTIVE PARTS IN THEIR ENGINES.

THE FIRST TIME, THE DEALER UPDATED THE SOFTWARE. THE SECOND TIME, THE DEALER REPLACED THE POWER TRAIN MODULE. IN FACT, THE DAY I GOT IT BACK FROM THE DEALER, IT STALLED AGAIN GOING ABOUT 25 MPH. THEN, THE DEALER CALIBRATED THE THROTTLE. I WAS TOLD IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN, CALL THEM AND THEY WILL HAVE IT TOWED. THIS IS WHAT I DID. STARTED LEAKING LARGE AMOUNT OF OIL AND BURNING SMELL, DEALER STATED THAT THE OIL FILTER HOUSING WAS CRACKED DUE TO OVER TIGHTENING OF OIL FILTER CAP. THIS IS NOT TRUE, HAVE FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS USED A TORQUE WRENCH TO THE MANF SPECIFICATIONS PRINTED ON THE OIL FILTER CAP. REVIEWING THIS ON THE INTERNET AND SEES TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM ON THE PENSTAR ENGINE WHICH CHANGED FROM BOTTOM MOUNT TO TOP MOUNT OIL FILTER. MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD THE REPLACEMENT COVERED UNDER THE 100,000 MILE WARRANTY BUT THIS LOCAL DEALERSHIP STATES IT WAS USER ERROR AND REFUSES TO COVER. THIS IS A VALVE THAT CONTROLS THE OIL IF THE FILTER GETS GUMMED UP THE PRESSER CAUSES THIS VALVE TO OPEN SO THAT THE OIL WILL STILL FLOW IF THE FILTER IS CLOGGED. THIS PLASTIC VALVE BREAKS DURING NORMAL OIL CHANGES. I WENT STRAIGHT TO AUTOZONE AND HAD A NEW BATTERY INSTALLED, $250.00 AND GOT GOING ON MY WAY HOME - FAT, DUMB AND HAPPY - UNTIL 2 DAYS LATER WHEN IT DID IT AGAIN. THE SECOND TIME IT STALLED I WAS ON A BUSY 12 LANE INTERSTATE 95 IN DOWNTOWN MIAMI. AGAIN I DID NOT KNOW IT HAD STALLED, I WAS INCREASING SPEED FROM ABOUT 50MPH TO 60MPH AND PUSHED THE GAS PEDAL AND NOTHING HAPPENED. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF 6 LANES AND IMMEDIATELY PUT MY HAZARDS ON AND ROLLED THROUGH TRAFFIC ONTO THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE. I WAITED 5 MINS AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP AND I WENT STRAIGHT TO THE CHRYSLER DEALER IN KENDALL, FL. THEY GAVE ME A RENTAL VEHICLE - THANK GOD. ABOUT 3 WEEKS LATER THEY CHANGED OUT THE PCM AND GAVE IT BACK TO ME - FIXED (SUPPOSEDLY). 2 WEEKS LATER IT STALLED IN TRAFFIC ON A 4 LANE HWY; WAITED 5 MINS AND IT STARTED FINE, WAS LATER AT THE STORE GOT IN THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULD NOT START JUST KEPT TRYING TO CRANK ITSELF, WAITED 5 MINS LATER AND IT STARTED. THAT WEEKEND TOOK IT TO CHRYSLER IN TAMPA (JERRY ULM) THEY SAID IT IS NOT IN MY WARRANTY AND I PAID $400.00 FOR WHAT I WAS TOLD WAS A CHRYSLER "WORK AROUND". 2 DAYS LATER IT WOULD NOT START AND IT TRIED TO CRANK ITSELF. I TURNED THE KEY OFF AND WAITED 5 MINS AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP AND I WENT DIRECTLY TO KENDAL CHRYSLER, WHERE IT IS SITTING TODAY AS I WRITE THIS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ANOTHER DRIVER PULLED UP YELLING THAT MY CAR WAS ON FIRE. I PULLED OVER, SAW THE SMOKE AND THEN THE FLAMES FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE CAR BEGAN TO IDLE ROUGHLY--IT WOULD RATTLE AND SHAKE JUST SITTING AT A RED LIGHT. IF I TRIED TO JUST ROLL THE VEHICLE SLIGHTLY FORWARD, IT WOULD STUTTER. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, BUT THE MANUAL INFORMS TO WAIT A FEW DRIVE CYCLES TO SEE IF IT WILL JUST TURN OFF. PULLED THE DIAGNOSTIC CODE (P0306) AND IT WAS A CYLINDER 6 MISFIRE ISSUE. TOOK CAR IN ON 9 DEC 2014 AND THE ENTIRE LEFT CYLINDER COLUMN WAS REPLACED. ON 24 DEC 2014, THE SAME ISSUES BEGAN TO OCCUR AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED WITH THE SAME DIAGNOSTIC CODE. CAR WILL BE TAKEN IN ON 26 DEC 2014 FOR SERVICE. *TR
MY WIFE AND I HAD JUST LEFT A LOCAL BUSINESS MID-DAY ON A WARM DRY SUMMER DAY. WAS LESS THAN A BLOCK AWAY AND TRAVELING SLOWLY AT APPROX 20 MPH. APPLIED BRAKE AS WE ROLLED UP TO A STOP SIGN. ENGINE STARTED TO INCREASE RPM ON ITS OWN REQUIRING EVERMORE INCREASING BRAKE PEDAL PRESSURE IN AN ATTEMPT TO COME TO A STOP. STANDING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL ENGINE RPM REACHED 2500. I PUT THE GEAR SELECT INTO NEUTRAL. THE BRAKES GRABBED, THE ENGINE RPM SHOT UP AND RETURNED TO STANDARD IDLE. I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE AND CAR BEHAVED NORMAL AFTER THAT. THIS HAS OCCURRED APPROX 6 TIMES OVER PAST YEAR. TOOK IT TO DEALER TWICE WITH NO RESOLUTION. FLOOR MATS SECURE AND LOCKED DOWN. I DRIVE RIGHT FOOT ONLY AND BRAKE CLEANLY AND SQUARE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. THIS ONLY OCCURS AT LOW SPEED, WHEN ENGINE IS WARM, AND EVEN SQUEALED THE TIRES ( BURNED RUBBER ) ONCE. I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING RECALL NOTICES (N28 / NHTSA 13V-234 TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE) FOR ROUGHLY A YEAR NOW BUT EVERY TIME I ASK THE DEALER ABOUT IT I GET A SONG AND DANCE ABOUT HOW IT IS CHRYSLERS FAULT THAT THEY ARE NOT GETTING THE PARTS OUT . COME ON NOW, A YEAR? 3 NOTICES AND NO PARTS? *JS
WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THIS RECALL SERVICE PERFORMED. WAS TOLD THERE WERE NO PARTS AVAILABLE, THAT I WOULD BE PUT ON A VERY LONG LIST OF CUSTOMERS WAITING FOR A PART TO ARRIVE. I WAS REAR ENDED AS I WAS SLOWING DOWN FOR ANOTHER ACCIDENT IN FRONT OF ME,WHEN MY JEEP GOT REAR ENDED THE MOTOR SPEEDED UP AS I WAS PUSHING DOWN ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. I COULD FEEL THE ABS WORKING .ONLY AFTER I HIT THE GEAR SHIFT OUT OF GEAR DID MY JEEP STOP. MY ENGINE CONTINUE TO RUN AT A VERY HIGH RPM. BRAND NEW VEHICLE, AFTER 6,000 MILES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, TAKE IT IN, THEY HAVE IT FOR A MONTH, HAD TO REPLACE HEADS. GET IT BACK, NOW AT 50,000 MILES THE HEADS HAVE TO BE REPLACED AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME THEY SAY DRIVE IT. IT WILL CUT OUT OF POWER AND RUN VERY ROUGH, BUT THEY KEEP TELLING ME ITS OK. I TALKED TO A MECHANIC THAT WORKS THERE, AND HE SAID IT IS HAPPENING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AND THAT THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER FOR THE HEADS AND CANT KEEP UP WITH ALL THE DEMAND. ALL 2013 JEEPS HAVE THIS PROBLEM, MOST JUST GO IN AND THEY FLASH THE CODE, AND SEND THEM ON THEIR WAY. I AM ON A JEEP FORUM, AND THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.
