2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Cruise Control Problems

While driving shifting gears on its own without my control. Slowed me down on freeway from going 50 MPH to 35 MPH without me slowing it down as I am driving. I was still pushing gas pedal buy while shift was in normal drive from went from 8 to a 3 without my control so I had to pull over because I could not go any faster at all and was in danger zone on freeway that had up to 70mph driving.

It was freezing outside, but not icy on the road. I was not in a rush. Car was in excellent shape up until then.

I was easing our 2015 jeep grand cherokee into a parking spot at a trail head parking lot with my foot on the brake pedal. I fully engaged the brake pedal to stop the vehicle, and the vehicle accelerated at full throttle over the top of a 2.5 ft by 2.5 ft cement block parking barrier. It dragged the cement block about 20-25 ft.

Previously entered complaint regarding cold throttle/turbo lag of 3-5 seconds which is dangerous for pulling into traffic and almost causing accidents but this is not limited to cold vehicles. The lag is shorter but evident when warm. I have had several incidents of hitting the lag while trying to turn in an intersection and there is a "flat spot" lag of 2 -3 seconds.

While driving in stop and go traffic I was stopped with my foot in the brake pedal the engine started revving into high rpms the car stated surging and the brakes wouldn't stop the car. I rear ended the vehicle in front of me.

Vehicle's forward collision warning (fcw) system activated a brake! Alert with no hazard present. Driver information center keeps displaying message indicating acc (active cruise control)/fcw system not available off & on.

I own a 2015 jeep grand cherokee overland. I was informed of the NHTSA research into the 2014 jeep grand cherokee and the problems individuals were having with the collision warning system and the automatic breaking. I have experienced the same problem two times.

Driving my grand cherokee on I-40 with cruise control set to 75, I entered a construction zone and applied the brakes to slow down. Instead of slowing down, the car accelerated up to about 90 MPH. I was speeding in and out of traffic like a mad person and, luckily, I managed to keep my wife and I alive.

The check engine light came on and the vehicle's electronic throttle control systems was inoperable. Upon stopping and releasing the brake the vehicle lunges forward accelerating suddenly to 20 miles per hour. When place in reverse the vehicle and releasing the brake the vehicle lunges as well.

I've read about a recall regarding the cruise control but haven't received the notice and my dealer will not take care of the problem without it. I want it fixed so I can use my cruise control

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 jeep grand cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle hesitated to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact stated that the speedometer read a higher speed than the actual speed of the vehicle.

I own a 2015 jeep grand cherokee laredo limited, purchased from a dealer new. Last week I pulled into my driveway, turned the jeep off and went to get out and my alarm system went off. Could not turn it off with either fob, I was even able to start it up and drive.

While driving the 2015 jeep grand cherokee on cruise control, I needed to accelerate to avoid a traffic situation. I stepped on the accelerator and nothing. It did not engage to speed up even though I pushed the accelerator all the way to the floor.

I was pulling my travel trailer south on i65 south at 70 MPH and just crossed the alabama state line and saw yellow flashing light and a sign to reduce speed to 60 MPH. I was in cruise control set at 70 MPH. I pressed the minus shift paddle to slow down but it didn't shift down low enough to slow me down.

The Traction control light comes on while driving, once that happens it changes the performance of the vehicle it stays in one and it doesn’t allow you to do more then 43 at the most.

When setting cruise control to speed limit then pressing brake and then resume the jeep sone times accelerates to a higher speed the. Having to break again. Has been reoccurring nervous when driving and setting cruise or resuming.

While in Starbucks drive through, my vehicle suddenly accelerated and hit the vehicle in front of me.

Received a service shifter message while going from park to drive on dash board display recently 3 times. I read online others have experienced this same issue.

Driving down an open road, suddenly the "brake now" warning starts beeping and brakes are automatically applied. This has happened several times with no vehicles, etc in front of the vehicle. Happened even after the recall was completed on it for the cruise control system.

Note: I entered an erroneous VIN number on my complaint a few minutes ago. My description of the problem was listed on that complaint.

The incident occurred on or about thursday, april 10th 2019 at 12:10am. It involves the brakes of the vehicle not being able to stop the vehicle at low speeds. The entire incident was captured on a high-quality front-facing dashboard camera with audio, video, and GPS.

Third time of incident. While parallel parking, and shifting from reverse into drive, while foot is still on the brake the vehicle revs and lurches forward. 1st 2 times involved parking on snow/ice.
