The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that after shifting from park(P) into drive(D), the gear shifter erroneously shifted back to park(P). The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the shifter cable bushing was faulty and needed to be replaced.

Shift linkage keep detaching from the the transmission causing the transmission too slip. It detaches often it’s been going on for 2 months now. I called Ford dealership to see have they heard of this problem and they answer was no.

I have the 2017 fusion sport 2.7l twin turbo and I purchased it new. On more than 30 occasions and at different speeds the vehicle loses all power without warning. I have had it to 2 different dealers who said there are no codes stored indicating this happened and since they weren't able to reproduce the issue that there was nothing they could do to help.
