While driving on the NJ Turnpike, your dashboard displayed a "lane assist no longer available" message along with a check engine light. When you stopped, you noticed the front of your car was burned with parts of the bumper melted. An electrical fire started in the front-facing camera, which shorted out and damaged the camera, front bumper wiring harness, and engine wiring harnesses, causing the vehicle to be declared a total loss.

The electronic door clocks are continuously failing where the door cannot be opened in an emergent situation. On 6/24/20 the front driver door latch had to be replaced and on 03/21/21 the left rear door latch had to be replaced. Presently the right rear door latch is not operating and the vehicle has been scheduled for service on 7/9/21..

There is an srs airbag warning light on the dashboard that used to intermittently display. Now it is on consistently when the vehicle is driven. It is due to a circuit failure or a broken cord leading to the driver side middle row seatbelt airbag.

Seat heat under driver seat keeps going bad. Only the seat bottom, not the top. I noticed as this is the 3rd time it has been in for this, that when I have the seat in the farthest back position it works, but when the seat is moved further it pulls on the wires.

Airbag warning light appeared on instrument gauge @ approx 65,000 miles. The concern is for the rear seat restraint systems that have airbags built into the seatbelt shoulder straps. This design flaw by ford motor co has resulted in faulty wire harness systems for the seat belt airbags.

The airbag warning light has come on. In taking the car to the dealership, this was traced back to ford's error code dtc b141b and/or b141c. This error code has to do with ford installing a defective wiring harness for the rear seat inflatable airbags and could cause them to fail to operate during a collision.

The display screen keeps rebooting and not available. Its a safety issue as the backup camera is not available for sometimes up to 10 minutes

The water pump failed vehicle only has around 105,225 miles on it. This has been a known issue with the 3.5L Twin turbo ecoboost. The water and coolant continuously coming out happens to be on the alternator which has caused it to short out and no longer be working properly.

Faulty power steering making noise while turning, difficult while driving because power steering seems to be failing. Making it hazardous to drive because it is difficult to keep straightforward in the road. Day before occurrence the back hatch (lift gate is ajar) would not open and shows light on dashboard and not sure if it's electrical or related to power steering.

The airbag light comes on due to the connectors in the wiring harness used for the airbag and seatbelt restraint system. When the light is on the airbags will not deploy, making this a safety related issue. Ford has a technical service bulletin Ford TSB 16-0001 showing the issue.

Per ford website, I was told that my sync software need an upgrade when I typed in the VIN, then I follow the instruction on website but the program I downloaded messed up my apim module on my car and radio, GPS, and other function ae not working. So I took my SUV to the dealer and they said it will cost me $1050 to fix the issue.

I was driving on the nys thruway around 70-75mph and the car decelerated to 55mph then was like in a coast mode. The wrench light came on and it said see manual. I pushed the pedal all the way to the floor and it would not go any faster.

Hi I need help we are having issue with our 2016 ford explorer sport we only have it for 3 months 2k mileage, we noticed the hood vibrate at 65mph or over on freeway, I brought it to my nearest ford dealer, "ford serramonte" on 05/16/16 the service manager name henry said they are aware of it but couldn't do anything & they are waiting for ford to find the solution to fix it, but they didn't even check the hood.

Cooling fan shut down noise, since new the engine cooling fan makes a lot of noise when "spinning down" at the fan comes to a stop/shutting down engine. Fan is working, but for how long?

The 2nd row airbag light came on, and ford told me it was a shortage in the wires and it wasn't covered under the manufacturers warranty. They stated that since the airbag light was on, the short in the wiring would stop the airbag from deploying, which in turn is a safety issue.

On a city street experience loss of accelerating power while coming to stop and crossing an intersection the vehicle will star at a snail pace bringing up the speed to 40 MPH on limp mode since the vehicle service wrench tool and air bag light up on the dash board vehicle will not respond pushing down on the gas pedal.

There is a design defect in the front parking sensors where after freezing, water can enter the opening of parking sensor and short circuit the wiring harness causing the parking aid system to fault. The rear hatch opens and then while someone is loading the back of the car (with groceries, etc.), the hatch starts to close. The hatch hits the person and does not reverse. Instead, the hatch tries to close even tighter on the person who is trapped underneath.
