Your car's security system randomly locks and prevents the engine from starting. This happens intermittently — every couple of times you try to start the vehicle, it won't turn over. The issue involves both the security system and the engine's ability to crank. A technician will likely need to diagnose the security system's wiring, sensors, and engine control module to find where the communication failure is occurring.
