The soft covering on your front dashboard has separated and is bubbling up from the underlying plastic, no longer properly glued in place. While it doesn't currently block your view, it could eventually peel away completely and obstruct your windshield visibility. The fix would likely involve removing the dashboard trim and either re-gluing or replacing the separated surface panel.

The truck was initially brought in on April 10, 2024, for a continuous regeneration issue with the DPF filter, showing codes P242F and P1451. The dealership diagnosed it as requiring a new EGR valve and possibly a DPF filter assembly, under the VB6 emissions recall and extended warranty (XQ1). After replacing the EGR valve, the Y-78 HPFP safety recall was completed. Upon completion, the technician noted multiple fuel-related DTCs, lack of power, and metal debris at the fuel control actuator caused by a failed CP4 pump. At this time, the dealership was unaware of the XQ1 warranty, so instead of replacing the DPF filter, they force regenerated it. Upon picking up the truck, the check engine light came on (April 26, 2024). After reporting it, the dealership stated the DPF filter needed replacement, and on May 26, 2024, it was replaced under XQ1. However, after picking up the truck again, the check engine light came back on, and diagnostics revealed misfires across all six cylinders (codes P0300–P0306) and abnormally high fuel pressure at the wire harness—issues that weren't present before the EGR valve or HPFP recall repairs. The truck has since remained at the dealership, with multiple unsuccessful attempts to fix the issue by replacing the fuel lifter, wire harness, fuel filter, and a second Y-78 recall replacement due to "faulty parts" from the first attempt. The dealership charged a diagnostic fee and suggested replacing rocker arms and push rods, but this did not resolve the problem. The dealership has since recommended replacing the PCM module but then retracted the recommendation and is now requesting a new diagnostic fee to tear down the engine, remove cylinder heads, and inspect for debris, as the misfires and high fuel pressure have persisted since April 26. The safety concern is that the truck behaves as though it is starving for fuel when the engine light reappears, with stored codes showing misfires and high fuel pressure, related to Y-78.
On September 17th 2023 I was traveling on [XXX] W. Bound leaving Altamont pass coming down the grade entering Livermore, California traveling approximately 65 - 70 MPH in the far left lane when I experienced what the motor industries refer to as "Death Wobbles" it has since happened 2 times to date!! Luckily no one including my self was injured in the incident!!!! I spoke to a few other owners of a 2500 Ram truck the years vary between 2018 through 2020 and was told that this was a problem and there was a recall!!! I bought my truck used on 04/02/2022 with the odometer reading "37,947" with only one previous owner!!! INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Major water leak under passenger dash. Turned and can hear water sloshing then it all dumps out on the floor while driving. Front carpet and mats are soaked. Rear windows also leak above both seats, visible water damage to the headliner.
I have been put off by RAM for 2 years now on three different recalls. I've attempted to get several dealerships to fix them. The most recent dealership, Greenville Tx Dodge RAM, [XXX] @ [XXX] tells me that I am on 'a list' to be called when they have the parts. I've been on 'the list' since Dec 2022, originally committing to a 2-3 month wait. Today I've been told at best, another 2-3 months. Recall ZB8/22V-904 Tailgate latch alignment Recall Y78/21V-880 High Pressure Fuel pump Recall W24/20V-207 Bed Step (Safety) Manufactures should be required/held accountable for completing recalls in a timely manner. Continuing to hear: Parts shortage, Labor shortage, only allowed to do 2 per week, etc........is getting old. The first time I took it in for the bed step recall was 5/21/21 to I-20 Dodge Ram in Canton Tx INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
The dealer is taking forever to perform this recall, States I am on a list. it will take 2 years to get my truck in to get fixed. And chrysler will not reimburse for replacement if done outside dealer.
UNKNOWN. Truck will not start. Clicks, all warning lights come on, clicks, and nothing. Recall not performed as dealership states if they do the recall it will cause a complete engine failure.
I was driving home from the market and the truck slowed down to 16 mph. I could not go any faster. I pulled over to the middle of the street and turned the truck off for a minute. I then restarted it and attempted to drive it somewhere safe. The truck finally came to a stop right before an intersection. I had to get out because cars were coming fast. I was afraid someone was going to hit me. I called AAA right away. They told me the tow truck was on the way and that they would send the police. The police never showed up. The tow truck got there in about 15 minutes. The only information i have is the fuel system has a error code of P0087 and reads Fuelrail system pressure-too low. Check engine light is on, It did say something about the fuel system and the truck will not start. No one has looked at the truck yet. I will be calling the dealer this coming week to see about getting it checked out and having recall issues taken care of.
2019 DODGE RAM. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO NHTSA SAFETY RECALL 21V-880. THE CONSUMER STATED THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME COMPLETING THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE.
Living in warmer climate area such as Central Valley in California the A/C does not blow cold enough to cool the cabin of the truck. My other vehicles I own all blow in the low to mid 30’s. The ram can’t get below 50 degrees which is very concerning when the outside temperature is 110+.
DEF SYSTEM FAILS IN COLD WEATHER AND A RESULT IS THE TRUCKS SPEED IS REDUCED TO 5MPH THIS CANT BE SAFE DRIVING DOWN A BUSY INTERSTATE.
THE A/C IN THIS VEHICLE IS INADEQUATE AT BEST. IF THE VEHICLE IS SUN SOAKED ON A HOT DAY, THE A/C STRUGGLES TO COOL THE VEHICLE CABIN, EVEN AFTER 40+ MINUTE DRIVE. THE FAN STAYS ON HIGH AND NEVER GETS THE CABIN TO THE SET TEMPERATURE, OR EVEN CLOSE. ON THESE DAYS, I ROUTINELY SWEAT THROUGH MY SHIRT BEFORE THE CABIN GETS ANYWHERE CLOSE TO COOL, AND THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE ON AN 80K VEHICLE. THE A/C IN THIS VEHICLE IS MUCH WORSE THAN IN THE 2016 RAM I PREVIOUSLY HAD. THIS VEHICLE HAS THE DUAL ZONE CLIMATE CONTROL AND IS GENERALLY SET TO 62 OR 64*, WHICH IS NEVER MET. THE CENTER DRIVER'S SIDE VENT TEMP SETTLES RIGHT AT 55* WHERE THE PASSENGER SIDE WILL SETTLE ON 47*. WHY IS THERE SUCH A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VENT TEMPERATURE AND WHY DOESN'T IT GET TO THE LOW 40'S LIKE EVERY OTHER MODERN VEHICLE I HAVE BEEN IN? WITH THE POOR COOLING, THE FAN CONSTANTLY RUNS AT HIGH SPEEDS IN AN ATTEMPT TO KEEP UP WITH THE COOLING REQUIREMENT, AND IN RETURN CAUSES EXCESS DRIVER FATIGUE. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE IS RUN FOR LONGER PERIODS OF TIME IN AN ATTEMPT TO KEEP THE CABIN COOL, CONTRIBUTING TO POORER FUEL ECONOMY, MORE WEAR AND TEAR, AND INCREASED EMISSIONS. NONE OF THESE ARE GOOD. I ROUTINELY GO OUT OF MY WAY WHEN NEEDING TO TRANSPORT YOUNG KIDS THAT ARE STILL IN CAR SEATS. IF I AM NOT ABLE TO BE COMFORTABLE IN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME, I FEEL THERE IS AN INCREASED SAFETY RISK TO THEM SINCE THEY ARE IN LARGE BULKY CAR SEATS, IN A POORLY COOLING VEHICLE CAB. PLEASE LOOK INTO THE POOR PERFORMANCE OF THIS A/C SYSTEM. IT IS BY FAR THE WORST PERFORMING A/C SYSTEM OF ANY MODERN VEHICLE I HAVE BEEN IN. BASED ON THE RESEARCH I HAVE DONE, I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS THE A/C IS EXTREMELY POOR. HOWEVER, OVER WINTER, THE HEATER HAS WORKED VERY WELL.
GOING OVER BUMPS ON ROAD AROUND 25-40 MPH SOMETHING IN BACK. SOUNDS LIKE IT'S COMING FROM REAR SEATS MAKING A BANGING NOISE. SOME BELIEVE IT'S THE CAB MOUNTS. TOO SHORT OR SHORT BOLT OR SOMETHING.
AC IS INADEQUATE, BLOWS COOL AND NOT COLD
