Local Dealers are unable to resolve the recall on timely basis due lack of parts, lack of loaner or rental cars. Weather, sense of urgency. This is a serious safety recal of potential battery fire and suddenly stop while in motion. Need to do something!

Report: Jeep Grand Cherokee 2023 table number [XXX]. Vin [XXX] Piston malfunction. **Vehicle:** 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Tablet:[XXX]. Vin [XXX] **Date of purchase** February 2023. **Problem:** Piston malfunction That began in September 2023. **Dealer:** Alberic Colón Chrysler, Jeep, Puerto Rico **Event timeline:** 1. September 2023: The malfunction of the piston in the Jeep Grand Cherokee 2023 began. 2. September 4, 2023: He visited the dealership, Alberic Colón, to report the malfunction and request repairs. The dealer did not adequately document the malfunction during this visit. 3. May 1, 2023: A second visit to the dealership was made for the same problem, but the malfunction was not resolved and the problem persisted. 4. **September 2024:** Another visit was made to the dealer, since the piston problem remains unresolved and the dealer has not yet addressed or adequately documented the malfunction. In all previous visits it is documented by the concessionaire that at the time of the test it did not present condition. 5. **Current status (to date):** The problem remains unresolved and we have continued to be without a vehicle every time the unit is taken to the warranty area. The amount of time that the vehicle is in the workshop is indefinite and at no time has we been offered a vehicle similar to a loaner as established by regulations #19 and #21 of the Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO). Despite multiple attempts to solve the problem, the dealer has not repaired the vehicle and the problem continues. This last time we have been without a vehicle for the whole month of September 2024. This represents a chronic anguish for our family, since we depend on our vehicle to be able to work in our accounting business. In addition to all this, this problem with the unit has created an insecurity in us, since at any time it can leave us without service; we have the responsibility to pick up and leave our grandchildr INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Engine Mounts are faulty / victim of design fault. I have had my engine mounts replaced twice within the first 7,000 miles of ownership (at 3,825 miles and again at 6,583 miles). Per my service advisor this is a common issue with all Grand Cherokee models and he anticipates the need to replace them again.

The vehicle will run extremely rough and not accelerate when needed especially after filling the tank with gasoline. It will almost die in the intersection when you’re trying to get past Traffic. It will not reach Highway speed at times and when you step on the gas the engine makes a strange noise and it slows down. The vehicle is very dangerous in this regard. One time I almost had an accident because of it. I have had the vehicle to the Jeep dealership at least six times for this issue and they cannot confirm that it happens on their own and they cannot fix it. I have video evidence of this problem taking place over many months. Chrysler and jeep will not help me. I am concerned about the welfare of the public if they are driving a similar vehicle.

While stopped at the light with your foot on the brake, the vehicle will accidentally accelerate and almost hit the car in front of you. I looked (my foot was still on the brake). Then, when I try to accelerate, this vehicle fails to get up and go... it's like it's stuck in first or second gear... I avoid the freeway because I'm afraid someone will hit me in the rear end! very dangerous.
