PTU failure occurred in May of 2025. This was verified by the Jeep dealer. Vehicle rolled downhill into traffic and towards a residential home upon attempting to stop at stop sign with PTU failure occurred.

The component that failed is the PTU: part #68307402AJ. The part is still on my vehicle as the dealerships have no available replacement parts at this time. The dealer has diagnosed that the part needs replacement.

Daughter was driving the car when she approached a stop sign the electronic emergency brake engaged while the vehicle was still moving. This caused the vehicle to stop suddenly. She had to manipulate the electronic switch several times to disengage the brake to get the vehicle to move.
