Your seat reclining system doesn't detect when someone is sitting in the seat, so it folds in on them even if a child is present. The seat continues trying to fold and close on the occupant without stopping. This creates a safety hazard where someone could get pinned or trapped by the folding seat mechanism.

Your 2025 Palisade's third-row seats close completely even when objects are blocking their path, without stopping or reversing. The owner tested this repeatedly with various items and the seats never detected or reacted to the obstructions. This same issue has been recalled in the 2026 Palisade model, raising concerns about whether your 2025 model has the same defect. Fixing this will likely require Hyundai to reprogram or replace the seat's obstruction detection system or motor assembly.

Your 2025 Palisade's powered third-row seat may not stop closing when the rear compartment button is pressed, even if someone is sitting in that seat. The complainer tested this and found the seat continued closing with a passenger inside, creating a serious crushing hazard. This issue may be triggered accidentally by items stored in the rear compartment during driving. Hyundai may need to redesign or reprogram the seat's safety sensor system to detect occupants and prevent closure.

While you're sitting in the third row, the fold buttons can accidentally activate and cause the seats to close on you without stopping. The seat doesn't detect that a person is in the way and will continue closing until someone manually reverses the button. This could cause serious injury if no one is there to stop it. The fix would likely involve adding a safety sensor or obstruction detection system to the third-row seat folding mechanism.

You were sold a 2025 Hyundai Palisade that was subject to an active manufacturer stop-sale for an unresolved safety recall, but the dealership did not disclose this critical issue during the sales process or in any paperwork. When you returned the next day to address the problem, the dealership initially refused to help, claiming the contract couldn't be undone. The dealership eventually reversed the transaction two days later after you escalated the complaint. The core issue is that you should never have been delivered a vehicle under an active safety stop-sale in the first place.
