You have to coast to the side of the road and restart the vehicle. I was driving around a lake with my family. We were fishing. I had no warning at all and my transmission started to sputter and jerk extremely bad and my brakes did not work at the same time. I had to use my parking break to stop my family and I from going into the lake at 40mph. I looked up on many websites and forums and saw multiple people with the same issue. I am afraid that this will happen to a young driver and it be very tragic. Please do a recall. My truck is still sitting at my house broken. I am on disability and can not afford to fix it. I just keep paying my payments with no use of my truck. Please I beg of you.

They also reported a "substantial leak" in the radiator, and again, says it is a very common fault of GMC Trucks. And another $2700. If these conditions are as common as they indicate, why are there no corrective measures?

I was driving and was almost home when I heard a pop and started getting jerked back and forth and then just slowed down almost to a complete stop with vehicles approaching quickly almost causing a multiple vehicle pile up I’ve heard multiple people complain about the particular transmission that is put in these gmc and chevy 1500s and am just confused with all of the problems I see on the internet and hear from peers in person why it has not been recalled yet if need be I will make a survey of gmc and chevy owners to let it be known that the transmissions on these vehicles were poorly built and need to be recalled before anybody has this problem that I had today

From time to time the vehicles power system will surge, blink, and generally act up. The priblem is intermittent. The check engine light will come in then go off, the engine has completely cut off several times while driving, the transmission acts up, radio will turn off, 120v outlet will turn off, occasionally the vehicle will fun for 5-15 seconds after being turned off and then sputter off. And 95% of the time the truck is absolutely fine.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER LIBERTY BUICK GMC (9028 E INDEPENDENCE BLVD, MATTHEWS, NC 28105, (704) 708-8000) HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED HE CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL AXLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO LIBERTY BUICK GMC WHERE THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO GRIFFIN BUICK GMC (2500 W ROOSEVELT BLVD, MONROE, NC 28110, (704) 289-3135) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NEEDING THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE STRUT TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO LIBERTY BUICK GMC AND THE REPAIRS COMPLETED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, HE HEARD AN ABNORMAL SOUND COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED HE HAD THE TIRES REPLACED AND AN ALIGNMENT PERFORMED BUT CONTINUED TO HEAR THE ABNORMAL SOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO LIBERTY BUICK GMC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE GEARBOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 87,000.

HUSBAND & SON CAME BACK IN ALL SHOOK UP. THE SCAN DIAGNOSTIC CODE-CHCK SHOWED: TRANS FLUID-INDEED FULL; BUT WAY BURNT; NEEDS TRANSMISSION; FRONT PUMP MAKING NOISE IN TRANSMISSION; TORQUE CONVERTER; EXHAUST SHOWS SIGNS OF BACK PRESSURE-AND ONE RUNNING HOTTER THAN THE OTHER; THE LEFT SIDE RUNNING 100+ HOTTER THAN THE RIGHT - NEEDS TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY REMOVED & REPAIRED; REMAN GM TRANS; Y-PIPE W/BOTH CONVERTERS; FLUIDS FLUSH NUTS BOLT GASKETS. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD NOT BE A GOOD IDEA TO DRIVE IT. I AM RETIRED MILITARY AND MAINTAINED THE TRUCK THROUGHOUT MY MILITARY CAREER, BUT NO WARNINGS SHOWED ON THE DASH READER FOR SOMETHING WRONG WITH TRANSMISSION. IT IS A 2014 GMC SIERRA 1500 SLT 5.3L V8. VIN#[XXX]. NEED HELP IF THIS ISSUE HAS EVER BEEN PLACED ON THE RECALL LIST? IF NOT, IT SHOULD BE. 2014-2015 GMC SIERRAS WERE PRODUCED WITH A KNOWN FAULTY A/C CONDENSER WITH A BAD WELD THAT CAUSES AN A/C SYSTEM LEAK REQUIRING REPLACEMENT. THERE HAS BEEN AN OVERWHELMING FAILURE OF THE PRODUCT ACROSS THE COUNTRY, SO BAD SO THAT IT EVEN MADE THE NEWS. GM BECAME AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND SENT NEW (PROPERLY PRODUCED) CONDENSERS TO THEIR PRODUCTION LINES FIRST, LEAVING HUNDREDS OF GMC OWNERS WITHOUT A/C OVER THE SUMMER. THEY PUT OUT A "SPECIAL RECALL" ON A VERY SMALL NUMBER OF VINS SAYING IT "MAY" HAPPEN IN OTHER VINS. THERE IS AN OVERWHELMING VOLUME OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE (INCLUDING MYSELF) WHERE GM IS ACKNOWLEDGING THIS ISSUE BUT REFUSING TO COVER THE REPLACEMENT COST OF THEIR FAULTY PART FOR HUNDREDS OF OWNERS HAVING THIS ISSUE. THIS REPAIR COST ME A LITTLE OVER $1300. IN THE SAME SERVICE VISIT FOR MY AC CONDENSER IT WAS IDENTIFIED THAT MY RADIATOR WAS LEAKING. THIS WAS DUE TO A FAULTY THERMOSTAT CAUSING STRESS FRACTURES IN THE RADIATOR CAUSING COOLANT TO LEAK. THIS ISSUE HAS ALSO BEEN IDENTIFIED BY GM HOWEVER ONLY A SELECT FEW VIN'S RECEIVED WARRANTY RECALLS. MY TOTAL REPAIR COST TO FIX BOTH ISSUES WAS IN EXCESS OF $4000. BOTH PROBLEMS ARE KNOWN TO GM YET THEY HAVE NOT REMEDIED THE ISSUE FOR EVERYONE.

SERVICE 4WD WOULD POP UP ON MY SCREEN EVERYTIME I STARTED MY TRUCK FOR THE LAST TWO DAYS GOING TO WORK. WHEN I GO SLOW AROUND TURNS THEN THE TRUCK WOULD ALMOST STOP. FOUND OUT THAT IT IS THE ACTUATOR AND MY 4WD IS TRYING TO GO INTO 4-LOW AUTOMATICALLY. DEALERSHIP COULD NOT FIT ME IN FOR A WEEK, SO I TOOK IT A TRANSMISSION PLACE BECAUSE THIS IS MY WORK TRUCK AND NOW HAVE ALL MY TOOLS IN MY WIFE'S ACADIA. I HAVE A 32 FT LADDER ON MY TRUCK THAT I'M GOING TO NEED ASAP AND CAN'T PUT ON WIFE'S ACADIA SO I COULD NOT WAIT ON THE DEALERSHIP TO FIT ME IN. ALL TRANS TRANSMISSION PLACE HAS HAD IT SINCE 3 PM ON JULY 7TH AND I JUST PAID $438 FOR A PART AND I'M UP TO THREE SHOP HOURS SO FAR THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR WHEN I PICK IT UP HOPEFULLY TOMORROW, WHICH WILL INCLUDE THE ADDITIONAL SHOP HOURS IN INSTALLING THE NEW ACTUATOR. THIS IS GETTING EXPENSIVE AND THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS PART THAT I'VE SEEN, BUT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY. I CAN PROVIDE ALL RECEIPTS ONCE I GET THEM.

WHATS WRONG WITH GM MANUFACTURING, ARE THEY THAT CHEAP, THAT NO PAINT IS PLACE ON THE FRAME. ADDITIONALLY THE CHROME WHEELS THAT CAME WITH THE VEHICLE ARE CORRODING YET ANOTHER CHEAP PROCESS THAT GM REFUSES TO ADDRESS. MIND YOU I HAVE ALWAYS FIXED AND REPAIRED MY OWN VEHICLES. SHIFTING THE GEAR SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL ALLOWS THE BRAKES TO WORK BUT THE ENGINE RPM REVS UP TO 2500 RPM FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS BEFORE DROPPING TO IDLE. IF THE DRIVER DIDN'T APPLY THE BRAKES HARD ENOUGH OR SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL, THE VEHICLE WOULD OVERPOWER THE BRAKES AND DRIVE INTO ANYTHING AHEAD. ANALOGY: IT ACTS AS IF THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ON (AND IT'S NOT) AND TRIED TO KEEP THE SAME FORWARD SPEED NO MATTER THE BRAKE APPLICATION. DEALER CANNOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM, NO ALERT WARNING LIGHT. SOME TIMES, GOING AT HIGHWAY SPEED, TAKING FOOT OFF ACCELERATOR AND EXPECTING VEHICLE TO START SLOWING DOWN, IT STAYS AT SAME SPEED FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS BEFORE DROPPING RPMS. I PAID $42,000 DOLLARS FOR THIS TRUCK BRAND NEW. I SHOULDN'T BE HAVING THIS OCCUR. I OWNED A 1995 GMC EXTENDED CAB THAT IS STILL ON THE ROAD WITH 215,000 MILES. THIS TRUCK HAS ONLY 23,000 MILES AFTER 2 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP.

VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW FROM A DEALERSHIP. THE VEHICLE IS MODIFIED AND SOLD COMMERCIALLY UNDER THE RMT (ROCKY MOUNTAIN TRUCK WORKS) PACKAGE. THE PACKAGE INCLUDES MODIFIED SUSPENSION AND LIGHTING. WHEN ACCELERATING, THE TRANSMISSION FAILS TO SHIFT INTO A PASSING GEAR CAUSING THE RPM(S) TO EXCEED 6000 AT WHICH POINT THE REV LIMITER SHUTS DOWN POWER TO THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE RPM(S) ARE BACK IN A SAFE OPERATING LIMIT. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED, I WAS ATTEMPTING TO PASS A VEHICLE ON A SECONDARY TWO LANE HIGHWAY. WHEN I WAS IN THE PASSING LANE, I ACCELERATED TO OVERTAKE THE VEHICLE BUT THE RPM LIMITER SHUT DOWN POWER MIDWAY THROUGH THE PASSING. WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC, AND LOSS OF POWER, IT MADE FOR A VERY SERIOUS SITUATION. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE WORKED ON THE VEHICLE MULTIPLE TIMES TO TRY AND CORRECT WITHOUT SUCCESS.
