2016 Dodge Journey Other Problems

went to get in car and the passenger headrest had deployed overnight.

my daughter bought a 2016 Dodge Journey SXT new from the dealership. The following have been replaced: Head, Camshaft, four times position sensor A&B & the Radiator Fin Neck. That was $2000.

The front passenger headrest deployed while the car was parked and shut off in the deiveway.

I went to go to town, opened the driver's door, started working the lever to raise the seat, next thing I knew there was a loud bang and the headrest exploded. There was a small piece of black plastic that landed in the seat. The vehicle was sitting in my driveway, the ignition was still off.

My car started shaking stopped abruptly the middle of the road and I was almost rear ended. I found out that the problem was a 'crank sensor' I have since had it repaired but wanted to report how dangerous this is. I did some research and found that the same make a year had been recalled due to this issue and I was wondering why my VIN # was not.

ABS system light comes on and off at will and this would be the 2nd time in about a year last time the ABS light has done this last time it caused the brakes to lock down resulting it an non-injury accident also it would not clear after repairs and computer reset

We were driving through an intersection and the back hatch back opened even though the vehicle locks were engaged and locked shut. The door locks were engaged. There was no warning light, no audible alarm-not a warning of any kind.

I was on the freeway and all of a sudden these lights came on and my car slowed down to a very dangerous pace and would not accelerate. This is only 2 weeks after getting 2 new tires on it. Vehicle has codes p2118, p2072, p2112, p2110 and p2101.

Takata recall turning left onto a main road the car slowed down and stopped in the middle of traffic. Would not start again, could not be jumped. Towed to dodge & they said its crankshaft sensor and they are charging way too much when I find on here it was recalled december 2016; we must have not had the vehicle yet.

As I was driving home from work, I was at a stop light when my engine stalled. I put my car back into park turned off the the car and turned it back on. While still driving home as I was getting off the freeway and making a left hand turn my car then shut down again and I lost all power steering.

Engine shut off on 7/7/2017 appox 2:40 pst the vehicle was stopped at a stop light on a busy surface street when the light turned green I pressed the gas to move through the light and there was no power coming from the engine. I was able to pull over, put the car in park and turn the engine off. I push button started the engine and the car operated as normal.

Headrest came undone when moving seat to vacuum under seat. It is loose and cannot be repaired. I saw there are issues with this same headrest that were recalled on the previous model year.

When you change to park reverse drive there's a loud noise. When you put in drive and start driving it doesn't move and sounds like it's in park or neutral. I have pulled out in traffic and it has done this four times now

Catalytic converter is faulty and needs repaired.

Went to start car car started making cranking noises after car started was driving down street going about 40mph engine shut off and steering wheel locked up took it to get dionastic found out it was. A crankshaft sensor there is a recall on this part but not under the month my car wasanafactured

I have had the crankshaft position sensor replaced two times now. This is a dangerous issue as the car becomes disabled while driving.

My car started whining bad and loss power it was stuck in one gear. Now I'm having to get a new trainsmission I have 113,000miles on it and only 4 yrs old befor this happened I have to replace 2 rocker arms at 2 different times on 2 different cams the rocker arms are a terrible designed in this car and go bad easily and cost alot of time and money to get them replaced

Shortly after purchasing my vehicle, I started having problems with it. The traction control light, ABS light and service AWD light came on. The car wouldn't let me accelerate upon the initial acceleration.

Driving up lombard street in san francisco, when I step on brakes on stops while uphill, then step on gas to drive again, the vehicle's tires spins (not catching) then vehicle would drop backwards 2 to 5 feet. This is a very busy street because it is a tourist attraction, but other cars are staying away from the journey because it keeps falling back. This happened in march 2017.

Tipm relay, solenoid circuit, and torque converter clutch pressure control circuit had and has to be replaced which on several automotive forums is not an isolated incident and a technician at a repair shop as stated as much. With it being a car a year old I find this to be disturbing and that chrysler is not stepping up to the plate and order recalls as this also results in poor gas mileage.

While driving my car it would shake/jolt when going down hill and pressing the brakes. I have taken it to the dealer who said that the rotors were warped and needed replaced, saying that this was due to the way I drove the car through the mountains/down hill. At this point I had only had the car short of two months.

While driving/turning my car seems to halt and make a grunting/rubbing noise. I have taken it to the dealer several times who says there is not a problem. However, they have had me replace my brakes pads and rotors twice in the last 10 months.

Cam relay - car dies, when try to start again it "jumps" and makes noise - it has happened whle sitting in a parkg lot and while driving on city streets. Had a recall s89 on the dodge journey for this issue - but have been told it does not apply to my vehicle happend more than 3-4 times in past month

When I make a stop in a street with stop signs, ithen accelerate quickly the vehicle trembles hard, is like turning on the engine again...I have the small motor model. Is so hard that sometimes I prefer to stop for 5 secs, just can't partially stop, if I reduced the speed but not stop completely then accelerate gentle, not hard, it still do it

Both driver and passenger floors are soaked all the way to the back ...I will let them dry and in a few weeks it's back again . This was bought as a new car ...what the heck is going on ...I have had the drain tube cleaned out and the air conditioning drip container drained out ...I googled the problem and found it could be a seal problem.

P0240 code keeps coming up but the catalytic converter was changed and the cylinders at the dlrshp. This has been an ongoing issue for over 3 years.

My 2016 dodge journey sxt is currently having transmission problems and is stuck in 3rd gear.

My engine dies while I'm driving without any warning/indicators. The engine light comes on as well. The diagnostic code reads P0335.

both driver and passenger headrests popped open randomly while my car was in park

The passenger side headrest came apart while driving. It was pretty forceful the plastic portion seperated from the rest of head rest.

The air conditioning turns on by it self. We've tried many different things and it still just turns on by itself.

Car vibrate when on the freeway, I was told my motor mounts which were replace 2018.

When you try to start car it is not connecting

My tension pulley bolts broke off half the bolts are still left inside. I've never had this car worked on never had to for no more than just a oil change for no reason the tension pulley just dropped off with the belt when I started the car at my job

Car does not have a safety feature to shut off the engine after times idle. Car ran for 15 hours!

The lift gate prop rods went out unexpectedly and came back down on my neck, shoulders and back. I was trying to load groceries in the back when it fell back down on me.

After downloading the reports for test 9471 and 9472, I am unable to open the pdf. I get an error that the file is damaged. This happens to me on numerous occasions when downloading vehicle test reports.

The reverse has quit working and the radio goes in and out and changes on own and turns volume up and down keys pop up not detected while driving

My crankshaft is going out we got the vehicle checked due to the engine light turning on. We noticed there was a recall the crankshaft for the 2016 dodge journey

Takata recall- will not shift past 40 MPH

I have a push button ignition and when I push the break and try to start the vehicle it does not crank over. I see that there are numerous complaints about this one specific problem but dodge has felled to correct it.

The rear right side passenger window isn't working. For a while it was rolling up and down slowly, and seemed to be sticking. After a couple of weeks it got worse, we locked the windows and wouldn't allow the kids to roll down their windows.

The vehicle has turned off on the road while on drive, when it turns off the steering wheel is hard to turn and can't brake. The vehicle is restarted by pressing the on/off button, and it will drive like normal again. This is the third time it has turned off on me.
