2015 Dodge Journey Other Problems

We were driving down the interstate and my vehicle caught fire, there were no warnings on the dash and the vehicle was driving fine. Luckily someone pulled us over to let us know that something was getting on their windshield... Some kind of fluid...

I only owned vehicle for 2 weeks. The Vehicle stalls while driving, unable to brake or steer. after a few seconds and a fee times trying to restart, car restarts engine light comes on and displays no codes.

I keep getting a navigation map update warning. When I try to update the map data I am told by dodge that the map updates are no longer available. I expect to pay for the updates and the fact that they are not available is causing issues.

The front passenger headrest deployed for no reason. No hit or collision occurred.

Between 2020-2023, my car has completely shut off while driving down the road. I lose all power steering and the ability to use the gas and brake pedals. When this happens there is no warning light at all.

Drivers side headrest deployed without warning and without a crash. Internal Plastic clips broke causing deployment. Thankfully I was only sitting in the car and not driving.

The driver head rest deployed my car was parked in the garage, no incident or anything. I came out to the car to go to the store and it was open and I can’t get it back in.

The front driver side headrest deployed for no reason. Vehicle was parked in driveway. The small plastic piece is broken wont go back in.

I was driving my car on i95 when I noticed it was not handling well and was making a noise. I could also feel a vibration under my feet. We made an appointment at central maine motors in waterville, maine first thing tuesday morning who told me the power steering cooler was leaking.

I put the category as "unknown" because I dont know what exactly it falls under besides stupidity. My car began over heating last week. That was frustrating on top of all of the other problems including the constant jerking from the crap ABS system.

Precisely on 7.3.19 I had 4 of my children with me heading to a holiday parade. My car w/o warning completely stopped in the middle of a road. No power, no brakes, no steering.

Grandson leaned on passenger headrest and it deployed! won't go back together and no idea what to do with it?

My car was not running. I had just gotten in my car and the headrest deployed and hit me in the back of the head.

I have recieved 3 recalls and all of them the manufacturer just says to contact dealer for vehicle inspection and part repair. Its been 3 mos and poway dodge dealer said to wait till I got another recall notice that parts have been distributed. I am wondering if I need to have the accident before the company accepts responsability for repairs or worst deaths in my family.

This is a rental car, therefore not positive if it's a 2015 model. While driving on the expressway, I shifted in my seat and my foot accidentally touched the hood release. The hood opened while driving, although not completely since it has a secondary hood latch release.

My sister and I purchased a dodge journey 2015 , we only had it approx 3 weeks, briefly after returning home we found the car on fire which caught the carport and eventually the house. Fire inspector ruled car was started by the vehicle. Everything was destroyed.

Vehicle stalls after coming to stop and attempting to resume. It starts back up after being put into park and pushing ignition button.

3 separate incidents, all involving braking while in motion, spread over about 2 months. 1., took too long to come to a stop while braking at a red light (6 car lengths); 2., light tap caused car to screech to a stop; 3. Complete failure; no response to repeated pumping; no resistance felt when pressing brake all the way to the floor, nearly flipped into a ditch, caused over $8k damages.

I will describe the 'problem' to the best of my ability: at completely random times if the car hasn't warmed up extensively it loses power and the feeling is as if you have been rear-ended by another car. Your foot is still on the gas and the car doesn't rev it just has nothing. I was almost hit many times.

My ABS, traction control light, and brake light are on on the dash. When I tried to use cruise control the other day it wouldn't turn off. Now it's not working at all and the brakes locked up in the rain the other day and as soon as it dried up outside the issue went away.

About 3 months ago my check engine light and ABS lights are permanently on and I barely have any drive power. I have fixed all possible issues and the lights are both still on and I don’t have much drive power while I drive.

My vehicle floods constantly, I’ve had it fixed 4 times, I believe it floods through moon roof

The Anti-Locking Braking System, Electronic Stability Control & Braking warning lights stay on all the time. I have absolutely no traction at anytime. The worse incident occurred when I was headed down a mountain and it had just started to rain.

When accelerating it has a hesitation like the fuel supply shuts off briefly or it is misfiring or something that is causing me to not be able to accelerate up to speed when taking off or during driving. It has happened multiple times over the past several months.

My complaint is about the dealership that I went to to get my cars recall repaired. A simple question about a recall resulted in the service man telling me there is no recall and the parts in my 2015 are from 1996 and that they can not find a recall. I was told that I would be liable for the cost of any repairs as per the fine print in my warrenty.

After getting my 2015 dodge journey I was very happy with it until I had 3 recalls on my car and now I am waiting for another recall for the GPS as it seems that thousands of people are having the same issue with the GPS that have been replaced multiple times because they stop working after a couple of months.

I will be driving and the car will shut off with out warning. When I turn the car off sometimes it will start back up. don't feel safe driving this car with out 2 year old son.

Driver side continues to blow hot air while the passenger blows cool air while the a/c is running. Told it was the blend door motor and got it fixed. A few days later, the some problem began again.

While driving my vehicle, it shuts down on me, steering wheel locks and it stops accelerating. It is very dangerous, as it just stops on me. It has left me in the middle of the city street, and its been a few times now.

2015 dodge journey. Consumer writes in regards to unsatisfactory customer service at dealership. *smd the consumer stated the dealer has been unable to remedy the defect.

Thermostat hose & something with the transmission as well. Speed not doing what it’s supposed to do.

Our anti-lock brake system is failing Code C2200-49

I came out to my vehicle to find that the head rest had separated, in which the night before it was perfectly intact.

Transmission is slipping had it looked at several time and cant find anything had the oil checked and its still good

While driving the air conditioning automatically comes on. I was driving to work on a residential street, decided to open the window even though it was 8:30am and it was already 95 degrees outside here in vegas. didn't get out of my complex before the air conditioner came on by itself.

Air conditioning comes on by itself when driving. Radio volume decrease without touching it while driving. Cruise control does not work when driving.

The navigation system in my 2015 dodge journey stopped working. It shows no map input/navigation system not on vehicle. I heard this has been happening a lot on dodge journeys.

My 2015 dodge journey wont start. I changed the battery and starter and still nothing. I hear one click when I try to start it but it wont turn over and start.

Takata recall. The heater/AC just keep turning on by it self.

My car dies while I'm driving engine just stops

Heater core...there is multiple complaints on the heater core going out. Costing people atot of money. My car is just 3 years old heat should still work.

Eltronic stability control light randomly comes on while driving and front passenger hub is going out at only 30k miles
