2015 Dodge Journey Electrical Problems

The contact owned a 2015 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the interior of the vehicle was filled with smoke. No warning lights were illuminated before the failure.

I was sitting in the house and heard a loud boom, looked outside and my dodge journey was on fire. I called 911 to get to the fire department, and went outside with the fire ext. and the fire was on the left rear of the truck.

The wire Harness in hatch where it meets in the boot wires break from using hatch 2010 to 2020 all models and can cause camera wiper brake lights reverse lights plate lights and tail lamps and unlock and lock button not to work on hatch the wires break from normal use on all models and it can cause a spark and start a fire

Wire harness in the door, keeps damaging wires. Have had to replace mulitple times. It is a fire hazard

I had a loss of brake lights, tail lights and right rear turn signals while driving. Peeled back the rubber boot over the wire harness on the upper left hatchback door and found 6 broken wires and 5 chaffed to bare metal. Appears that opening and closing the rear hatch over time bent the wires to the breaking point.

There is a recall on 2015 dodge journeys for the wiring on the ABS system that causes the wires to get corroded and the ABS not working.

While driving on the express way I changed lanes and suddenly the car jerked and started going faster, the check engine light started beeping , I put my foot on the brake but the car did'nt slow down fast enough, soon as I looked up I crashed on my driver side, no air bags came out...I drove the car hm, the sensor started beeping low key battery..I changed out the key battery and two days later the car start saying no key detected, I then called a locksmith, they had me buy a new key fob to reprogram..it didn't work, there is something very much electrical going on with this vehicle.

My wife's car has stalled several times while running in traffic at 55 MPH and above. She easily could have been involved in a collision. Car has been to dealer 4 times for repair, but still has same problem.

Vehicle has 39,392 miles. No check engine light or warning. Total of 5 intstances in 3 weeks, car will stop running without warning, while driving & operating the vehicle.

While my husband was driving home from work on 3/14/17, he stopped to help a fellow officer that was stranded, he got out of the vehicle and was helping the other officer he smelled smoke and looked back and saw that it was our car on fire. My AC will unsync itself and when I hit sync it unsync again. Also if I turn it off it will turn it back on. I dont know what is going on but I see that I am not the only one.

AC unit comes on and will not shut off this happens every time I am driving within 10 to 20 minutes of the car being on. I will push the AC button to shut it off and it turns back on again. I do this about 20 to 40 times in one day if not for the time of my drive.

There was a bunch of long lines on the screen and the key fob wasn't detected even though the key was in the car. This happened as the car wouldn't crank up. The car wouldn't register that it was in park.
