Your engine's MDS (cylinder deactivation) lifters are failing, causing noise. The needle bearings inside these lifters appear to break down when exposed to high pressure while the engine is cold. This same problem has already been repaired twice, but it's happening again. The repair will likely involve replacing the lifters and possibly upgrading to a higher-volume oil pump to improve lubrication.
