2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Other Problems

Vehicle has experienced repeated internal engine failures related to the exhaust valve lash adjusters and valvetrain. The engine developed abnormal valvetrain noise, misfires under load, and loss of power.

While driving, my Bose radio system went to full volume and would not respond. I tried to turn the radio off but the power button would not work. I tried to turn the volume down using both the volume knob and the volume controls on the steering wheel with negative results.

I was driving on Pa Turnpike around Denver, PA, at about 75 MPH, I saw in my review mirror, what I first though was dust or smoke blowing around my truck bed. I slowed down 10-15 MPH, a small flame was visible through the rear window, between cab and bed. I immediately pulled over, put in park , turned on flashers, grabbed my phone and wallet, got out of the vehicle.

The car has been running in remote start mode.mode. The problem with this car is that even when I shut off the vehicle, the engine keeps running.Onstar was able to come in overnight to retrieve the truck and deliver it to the dealer. It's not safe to drive a truck in these conditions, but since my family and I were on the other side of town, we decided to slow down and head home.

Service Trailer Brake Message with DTC C159C; Upon attaching my RV trailer, the trailer connected to the integrated systems as expected. Went though light inspections. I adjusted trailer brake gain.

The truck lost power without warning. No warning lights, messages or other symptoms prior to the truck not having any power. Scary because we where traveling at around 40-50 MPH and the truck lost power while on the road with other vehicles.

- Engine seizure: Reason Undisclosed to me - Vehicle was traveling at highway speeds, lost power steering - Dealership disclosed that it was due to an engine seizure - UNKNOWN - Only 1 indicator came on the instrument cluster and occurred after the failure. The indicator stated “Shifting conditions not met” I had lost power from the vehicle and vehicle shifted into neutral by itself.

Purchased a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST with the Trailer brake controller installed from GM. Though when I got home and tried moving my trailer I made it roughly 2 miles before the Driver Information Center notified me “Trailer Brakes Disabled Service Required” followed by the trailer brakes no longer working.

Tailgate opens automatically on its own while parked and while driving. This also causes the battery to drain down to being dead as it continues to operate the actuator I had to unplug the electronic tailgate switch to stop the battery from graining.

My check engine light came on and the diagnostic code was p1098. I noticed there was a special warranty for my make and model and engine but for some reason mine does not have this special warranty. I have researched and found out this is a common problem with these trucks.

I have contacted a dealer on 3 occasions to help me with an unrepaired recall. I contacted GM directly regarding the recall. They won't look at my truck to determine what needs to be done.

My vehicle has been at the dealership for almost three months due to the coolant control valve not working- dealership waiting on part. The check engine kept showing on the dashboard and engine fans running loud. My vehicle has about 22,000 miles on it.

Our Parking brake locked up and we could not go anywhere. Had to have it taken to a dealership to have it looked at. Then all our warning lights keep going off and it says acceleration speed slow down drive safely and its parked.

The issue is two fold, first the seal on the rear spoiler is defective and causing water to leak into the cab. Second, the seal around the rear power sliding window is defective and is also leaking into the cab. My safety concern is the amount of black mold that could be trapped between the headliner and roof putting myself and family at grave risk.

My vehicle has 43K miles and I just got a p1098 code. I took it to a local mechanic and they have determined that the Engine coolant Control Valve Position Sensor is not functioning. This is causing the fan to run at 100% at all times.

Back glass has cracks in upper plastic rail and is leaking

“Service Trailer Brake System” alert on info center and Trailer Brake Contol lights flickering since purchase February 2022 Trailer brakes intermittently do not work while towing 29’ camper trailer. Reported this issue several times to several different Chevrolet service departments. Have been told by every service department that there isn’t a problem.

While I was driving down the interstate the audio went to maximum volume. This caused me to panic while driving 70 MPH down a very busy interstate because the music was blasting very loudly. I was quickly trying to turn it down and would not work.

When driving the RADIO goes full volume, then after about 15sec ( and spilling your coffee all over the place) it turns down then the radio screen says restarting. Now 2 issues this is going to blow all of my speakers and no one will warranty it ( cause its not my fault it goes full ON) and the other issue is ...

Manufacturer and dealership cannot resolve active recalls because the vehicle does not have the part (sports bar with chimsl accessories high brake light) marked in the recall. Vehicle was ordered with the accessory on the window sticker but it did not fit properly and due to this was removed from the truck. Dealership refuses to resolve the recall even though the part does not exist on the truck.

High Co2 in cab every time I start the truck due to exhaust leak

The integrated trailer brake system fails shortly after plugging in a trailer. I have tried both my travel trailer and flatbed trailer. Both have the same issue.

From day one of purchasing this vehicle the trailer brake controller would stop working after a mile or so while towing either of my two trailers. I brought the truck back to the dealer to get this issue fixed and their service response was "we could not duplicate problem, it must be with your trailer". I have two 10K trailers and both have same issue with my truck.

The automatic shifting gear is not shifting the vehicle won't speed up.

The drivers side window regulator cable completely rusted through and broke. There should be a recall as there is a ton of videos on YouTube on how to fix this. Every single one of us the bottom cable completely rusted through and broke on the regulator.

Difficulty shifting from Drive to Park.

2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 is unable recognize that it has been placed in park consistently, essentially trapping us in the vehicle until the "Shift to Park" error gets corrected. After shifting the vehicle into park and pressing the button to turn off the vehicle, an error comes up on the dash saying "Shift to Park".

The inside silver trim pieces blind the driver and passenger when the sun reflects off them. The trim piece on the driver side reflects into the side view mirror, blinds the driver and does not allow you to see blind spots.

Still haven’t received any information on when the retrofit process will be completed.

I bought the High Country one year ago, signed a paper "we owe you" computer chip for front and rear bumper sensors. They said "should be in by July '22. I have checked with Service and Sales, no answers and no help.
