My 2022 Silverado is affected by a couple different electronic safety issues. The first one has to do with the trailering system. When I have trailer connected that has electronic brakes on it, the vehicle gives an error message and then shuts the break control off.

Your OnStar telematics module has stopped working, which means you've lost the ability to make emergency calls through OnStar and track your vehicle if it's stolen. Additionally, your forward collision avoidance system isn't functioning, your high beams turn on and off by themselves, and you can't connect to OnStar's WiFi or services without the module working. we were informed by dealer that there is a recall reguarding some software that needs to be updated to reduce the chance of battery drainage. The catch is they are trying to sell us a part for $567.00 to be installed so they can update the software to fix the problem. (Terry Thompson Chevy)

My engine had to be fully replaced @ 28k miles due a crankshaft bearing failing and sending metal shards through my engine. Stranded me on the side of the highway for three hours. Was able to get to the shoulder before it seized up.Also my entire wiring harness and ECU had to be replaced shortly after the engine.

I have both key fobs with me in the vehicle and it will not start. I have a message on the dash stating” key fob not detected” I live in North Dakota and the winters here reach temperature to -40. I find this issues to be very dangerous, potentially being stranded in the middle of nowhere and not being able to start your vehicle manually.

One week prior to the incident my engine had a loud ticking/knocking noise when starting up especially on a cold start, one night before thanksgiving driving to California I had my truck on cruise control 80mph when suddenly without any warning the engine shut off!

Your key gets stuck in the ignition and is difficult to remove, even after turning the engine off and on multiple times and shifting in and out of park. The issue occurred at 100,400 miles. Getting the key out may require repeatedly cycling the ignition and transmission until the key releases.

A recurring malfunction occurs with the infotainment/radio and rear backup camera display. The rear backup camera view remains stuck ON while driving forward in DRIVE at speeds over 20 MPH, including highway speeds. The system also cycles between screens (including switching to the camera view), and the infotainment freezes and becomes unresponsive (loss of screen/control).

The problem that happened on my truck was the telecommunication module went out at 45k miles. That controls several features on my truck such as compass, navigation, remote start from cell phone, clock and several others. The biggest problem is that a check engine light pops up and you cant use your key fob to remote start your truck since the check engine light is on.

Was taking an exit car felt like lose control and got hit with the sign pole on the exit. I have been complaining for the safety reasons and the location and other issues in car to onstar and Chevy for months. Went to Freeport Chevy dealer and changed oil, when I bought the car pre-approved but the when I went for the service they said no oil was changed since the car was new.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 multiflex tailgate main tailgate unlock/open button has stopped working. The dealership (Marine Chevy Jacksonville NC)stated that they have had to replace alot of them even on the 1500 series. They are now on back order with no expected availability date.

My backup camera has never worked properly since I purchased the vehicle. 7 out of 10 times when I put my truck in reverse, the camera does not work. I’ve had to at the dealership multiple times, the first time the vehicle was under warranty and the dealership “couldn’t replicate the issue” while the vehicle was with them for 2 days, which is impossible.

I was coming out of my workplace, made a right turn on to a Main Street, the lights were red so I was waiting to proceed and my truck engine just shut off. As the light turned green, I attempted to start the truck by turning the key off to restart the truck again, I tried twice to restart the truck, but it wouldn’t turn over, I couldn’t put my hazard lamps on because I lost all power.

8 weeks ago, The OnStar Module stopped working. Took it in for repair, dealer tells me "No ETA on a replacement part, we will keep in touch" After further investigation, I went on the OnStar and Chevy message boards, and I've discovered that this issue has been going on for over 6 months in some cases and there are ALOT, I mean ALOT of people having the same problem.

The dashboard fails and stops working, the shift to park wont engage and the key is not working to start the car. I have reported it to the dealer and to GM and they refuse to acknowledge the issue. The Feldman service person says it will eventually be a recall and will not help until then.

While driving at highway speeds, the vehicle has spontaneously locked up the front brakes/wheels three separate times. All three times have been at 55- 65mph and have completely locked up the front brakes leaving tire marks on the pavement. No Automated Braking System engaged, just full lock up.

The volume to the vehicles infotainment system was unexpectedly set by the system to the highest setting without my input while listening to XM radio. While driving the truck, something electrical seems to "reset" and upon that occurring, the brakes and other things quit working. This has happened in this truck twice within the last 10,000 miles. The dealership "resets the electrical system" and the truck runs fine for a period of time, but it has happened twice that the brakes have failed while going down the road.

The vehicle starter began malfunctioning, upon having that repaired by the dealership the brakes on the truck failed while underway. The dealership subsequently replaced the fuse panel and said it was resolved, that was in November 2022. The starter again began having problems engaging yesterday.

My vehicle has multiple issues that the dealer fails to appropriately investigate and try and resolve all I get is ntf rear camera blanks out and shows a warning symbol a triangle with exclamation and a camera symbol circled with a slash in the morning the trans slips until it up shifts through 1-2 then often 3-4 gears radio system can suddenly come on at full volume and vehicle has to be shut down and recyled to make it go away radi speakers come on all crackly with reduced volume capability occasionaly digital dash blanks out.

Back up camera cuts out at night in low light conditions, making it dangerous. Been to dealer twice, first they reflash BCM then second time, they state “we can’t find anything wrong”. I have seen people complaining online about this issue.

I am having an issue with radio not playing, it may at beginning of trip or not. It does not make a difference if you turn off and turn back on. It will only start audio when it wants to.

After usually the 3rd brake application the driver information center displays a message-Trailer Brake Disabled. Local certified chevy dealer tested the brake components on a computer and verified it is the truck that has issues.

As I was exiting a highway offramp after about (4) hours of driving, the Infotainment radio went to full volume as I was listening to music either on Spotify (through Apple Car Play) or Sirius XM, I can't remember. It startled me to the point I almost rear-ended the car in front of me.

While driving the vehicle it will slow automatically as if there is something in front of the vehicle when there is nothing there. It has happened twice on the highway at highway speeds causing driver to take action. While driving the vehicle, the emergency brake automatically set itself while in drive.

The audio in the truck increased to maximum volume on its own- without user/driver input. The only way to reset the radio is to pull over, shut off the truck, and open the door. This is extremely hazardous and distracting while operating the vehicle.

I had several issues prior to this incident where certain sensors and features were not operating. The incident occurred while I was driving on the highway, I randomly lost my braking ability and my dash lit of saying my brakes had failed. I then tried to push on the brakes and even push the e brake button and got no response.
