ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2004-2012 Chevrolet Malibu vehicles manufactured May 16, 2003, through October 11, 2012, 2004-2007 Malibu Maxx vehicles manufactured June 25, 2003, through April 5, 2007, 2005-2010 Pontiac G6 vehicles manufactured May 26, 2004, through January 4, 2010, and 2007-2010 Saturn Aura vehicles manufactured April 24, 2006, through May 26, 2009. In the affected vehicles, increased resistance in the Body Control Module (BCM) connection may result in voltage fluctuations in the Brake Apply Sensor (BAS) circuit. These fluctuations can cause one or more of these conditions: the brake lights to illuminate without the brake pedal being pushed; the brake lights to not illuminate when the pedal is pushed; difficulty disengaging the cruise control; moving the gear shifter out of the 'PARK' position without pushing the brake; and disablement of crash avoidance features such as traction control, electronic stability control, and panic braking assist features.
Fix: GM will notify owners, and dealers will attach the wiring harness to the BCM with a spacer, apply dielectric lubricant to both the BCM and harness connector and the BAS and harness connector, and will relearn the brake pedal home position, free of charge. The manufacturer distributed an Interim letter to customers on July 14, 2014. The recall began on August 18, 2014. Owners may contact General Motors customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), 1-800-762-2737 (Pontiac), 1-800-553-6000 (Saturn). GM's number for this recall is 13036.

The car's anti-theft system (indicated on the dashboard lights) will randomly lock up the engine. Following a massive list of online suggestions from other Chevy owners who had the same problem, I learned to wait for 10-15 minutes with the key in the ignition (lights/radio on, no engine) before the anti-theft indicator disappears and the car can start again. Sometimes, I will have to repeat the process 2-3 times. This has been happening randomly for over 2 years despite taking it into a Chevy dealer for repairs twice. They claimed it was a battery issue and charged me over $500 to fix nothing; The engine would lock up again within a month. A cursory Google search shows that this has affected hundreds if not thousands of GM vehicles, some even claiming the anti-theft lock engaged while they were driving. Please put some serious investigation into the matter so people like me can stop getting price gouged and stuck in freezing weather for GM's incompetence.
1st when got car from local dealer cruise control worked next day still hasn't, interior lights not working with new bulb, brake light on, leaking oil from pan, front end drifting, than at station no power steering, didn't know wtf, wheels didn't turn, shut off he later was there ignition switch will keep turning. Rins battery dead. I'm scared power steering will go out while driving. It's a scary thought, think I will sell .It's the worse recall I've heard of can they be fixed. Consumer has all 7 recalls.
Driving at any speed the car will randomly brake on its own.

MY PASSENGER SIDE HEADLAMP LIGHT (TURN SIGNAL) ASSEMBLY KEEPS BURNING OUT AND MELTING THE BULB HOUSING AND ORANGE LENS. IT BURNED A HOLE IN THE ORANGE TURN SIGNAL LENS. I REPLACE BULB AFTER BULB BUT IT KEEPS FAILING. PLEASE ISSUE A RECALL BECAUSE NO CAR OWNER SHOULD HAVE TO KEEP REPLACING BULBS CONSTANTLY ONLY FOR THEM TO FAIL OVER AND OVER AGAIN! WHEN I AM DRIVING, HIGHWAY OR LOCAL, MY ENGINE WILL STUTTER AND SHUT DOWN, OR JUST QUIETLY SHUT DOWN RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. IT IS HAPPENING A LOT. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.

LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT CONTINUES TO SHORT OUT EVEN AFTER REPLACEMENT OF THE SOCKET ASSEMBLY.
THE FRONT TURNING SIGNALS HAVE NOT WORKED FOR 2 YEARS I HAVE HAD THE HEAD LIGHTS COMPLETELY REPLACE TWICE. THE SECOND TIME I HAD THEM REPLACED WHEN THE LIGHT HOUSING OF THE TURN SIGNALS WERE OPENED THE LIGHT BULB AND HOOK UPS WERE MELTED TOGETHER.
HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS ARE NOT WORKING THEY GO OUT ONCE A MONTH AND NOW THEY JUST OUT AND THIS CAR IS DEFIANTLY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE LOCKS GO UP AND DOWN WHILE DRIVING, AND AUTO LOCK IF LEFT RUNNING. GAS FUMES THROUGH OUT THE CAR. THESE ARE VERY SERIOUS PROBLEMS, ALSO I HAVE TWO TODDLERS THAT ARE FORCED TO RIDE IN THIS DEATH TRAP!!

TAKATA RECALL FUEL SENSOR PROBLEM STEMMING FROM RECALL IN 2014

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, HOWEVER THE FAILURE RECURRED. MY CAR THEFT SYSTEM LIGHT KEEP COMING ON. ONE DAY IT CAME ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND THE CAR CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGH WAY I WAS STRUCK THERE FOR 20 MINUTES UNTIL THE LIGHT STOP BLINKING. THIS IS VERY VERY DANGEROUS THIS IS GOING TO CAUSE SOMEONE TO GET INTO A BAD ACCIDENT. U DON'T KNOW WHEN THE LIGHT WILL COME ON BUT IT DO U WILL BE STRANDED SOMEWHERE THIS NEED TO RECALLED. I HAVE RESEARCH THE INTERNET AND THIS HAVE BEEN GOING ON WITH CHEVY CARS FOR A WHILE NOW THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. I HAVE PUT AND NEW FUEL PUMP IN THE CAR AND SPSTK PLUGS. IF THIS DON'T GET RECALL I WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER GET AN CHEVY CAR AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND THEIR FAMILY AND FRIENDS DON'T EITHER.

THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND STATED THAT IT HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO START SINCE THE LAST FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED AND NO FURTHER REPAIRS WERE MADE. REGARDING GM RECALL #13036 - MICRO CORROSION ON BCM TERMINALS AND RELEARN - DEALERSHIP CLAIMED THAT RECALL WAS PERFORMED. ISSUES WITH BRAKE LIGHTS AND CRUISE CONTROL REMAIN AFTER RECALL SERVICE. UPON VEHICLE INSPECTION, FOUND THERE WAS NOT AN APPLICATION OF DIELECTRIC GREASE ON C2 TERMINAL PORTS AS DESCRIBED IN THE PROCESS OF THE RECALL. I WAS ABLE TO APPLY THE GREASE MYSELF BUT, I AM UNABLE TO PERFORM THE RELEARN PROCESS WITHOUT THE GM TECH2 TOOL. ATTACHED PICTURES OF C2 CONNECTOR PORT WITH AND WITHOUT DIELECTRIC GREASE. WE WENT BACK TO DEALERSHIP TO TRY AND GET THE RECALL PERFORMED PROPERLY AND THE TECH AT SERVICE DESK STATED THAT THE RECALL WAS SERVICED PROPERLY. IN WARM WEATHER OR AFTER DRIVING THE CAR, IT CAN TAKE UP TO 30 MINUTES TO CRANK. IT SPINS BUT DOES NOT START WITHOUT A MAJOR HASSLE. WHEN THE CAR FINALLY STARTS, I HAVE TO HOLD DOWN THE GAS PEDAL TO PREVENT IT FROM CUTTING OFF AGAIN. FREQUENTLY, IT STILL CUTS OFF WHEN I PUT IT INTO GEAR & I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE STARTING PROCESS REPEATEDLY. IT IS NOT RELIABLE & HAS RESULTED IN MY BEING LATE TO WORK, AS WELL AS LEAVING ME STRANDED. A FEMALE BEING STRANDED IS NOT SAFE. IF IT SHOULD HAPPEN TO CUT OFF IN TRAFFIC, I WILL HAVE NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WHICH COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE TRIED THE SUGGESTIONS RELATED TO THIS COMMON ISSUE WHICH IS BLAMED ON THE THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM, BUT I CONTINUE TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS. READING ONLINE FORUMS, I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON COMPLAINT FROM MALIBU OWNERS, YET NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. CHEVROLET NEEDS TO RECALL AND RESOLVE THIS ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE DIES DUE TO IT.

I CALLED THE DEALER TO FIX THE RECALL ON THE IGNITION, AND WAS NOTIFIED THAT THEY WOULD ONLY PUT A PIECE OF PLASTIC OVER KEY AND WOULD NOT FIX THE IGNITION TO TURN. I CAN HARDLY EVEN START MY CAR BECAUSE THE KEY WON'T TURN. THE KEY IS GOING TO BREAK OFF IN THE IGNITION. THE HORN AND RADIO DO NOT WORK EITHER. NOT HAVING A HORN FOR INCOMING TRAFFIC TOWARDS MY VEHICLE IS VERY DANGEROUS. THE TURN SIGNALS ONLY WORK AT RANDOM TIMES AND THAT IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN SWITCHING LANES INTO TRAFFIC. ALSO, SOMETHING IN THE BACK OF THE CAR SQUEAKS FOR NO REASON WHEN GOING DOWN THE ROAD AT RANDOM AND WHEN GOING OVER SPEED BUMPS. THIS CAR ALSO DRAINS THE BATTERY WITH UNKNOWN ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE DRIVERS SIDE BACK PASSENGER WINDOW WONT GO DOWN EITHER. THIS CAR HAS WAY TOO MANY SAFETY ISSUES FOR ONLY 137,000 MILES ON IT.

THE BATTERY IS ONLY ONE YEAR OLD ON THE CAR WHEN PURCHASED, SO SHOULD BE GOOD. THESE ELECTRICAL ISSUES NEED TO BE RECALLED. THE IGNITION CYLINDER ON MY 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU CLASSIC FAILED, AND THE KEY COMES OUT OF THE IGNITION IN THE ACCESSORY POSITION. THE GENERAL MOTORS RECALL TO MAKE THE KEY HOLE SMALLER ON THE KEY ITSELF TO FIX IGNITION PROBLEMS IS AN INCOMPLETE REPAIR. UPON CONTACTING GM ABOUT THE IGNITION PROBLEM, THEY IMMEDIATELY TOLD ME NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, AND THEY HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO GILLMAN CHEVROLET HARLINGEN AT THEIR EXPENSE, BUT SO FAR GM HAS REFUSED TO MAKE A COMPLETE REPAIR TO THE IGNITION. GM MAINTAINS THAT THE RECALL TO THE IGNITION PROBLEM IS ONLY TO FIX THE KEY HOLE, AND DOES NOT WANT TO AUTHORIZE A COMPLETE REPAIR FOR THE IGNITION FAILURE. ALSO, THE SHIFTER SELENOID HAS FAILED, AND THE KEY WON'T RETURN TO THE OFF POSITION. THE THEFT SYSTEM ALSO FAILED ON THIS VEHICLE AND WON'T ALLOW THE CAR TO TURN ON. WHEN THE THEFT SYSTEM FAILS, THE ONLY WAY TO TURN ON THE VEHICLE IS TO LEAVE THE KEY IN THE IGNITION FOR 10 MINUTES WHICH THEN RESETS THE THEFT SYSTEM. GM IS BUILDING SUBSTANDARD VEHICLES AND WON'T MAKE COMPLETE REPAIRS ON THE FAULTY IGNITIONS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR GM CUSTOMERS AND AFTER A WEEK OF TRYING TO GET GM ASSISTANCE TO REPAIR MY IGNITION PROBLEM, THE GM CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE HAS NOT RETURNED MY CALLS.

IF YOU DO NOT HEAR THE FUEL PUMP AND GO AHEAD AND TRY TO START THE VEHICLE YOU TRIGGER THE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM WHICH DOES NOT ALLOW THE CAR TO START FOR ANOTHER 15 MINUTES. WHILE THIS IS NOT MUCH OF A SAFETY ISSUE IT IS STILL A HUGE ISSUE, LEAVING ME STRANDED, SOMETIMES STUCK IN A HOT CAR JUST TRYING TO GET IT TO START, MADE ME LATE FOR WORK AND OTHER FUNCTIONS NUMEROUS TIMES. AFTER WAITING YOUR 15 MINUTES YOUR VEHICLE STILL MAY NOT START. IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH PATIENTS YOU CAN SET THERE AND TURN THE KEY OFF AND ON UNTIL YOU HEAR THE FUEL PUMP ENGAGE. EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE VEHICLE WORKS RADIO, LIGHTS ETC. IT JUST DOES NOT START. LEAVING ME TO BELIEVE THE IGNITION IS TO BLAME, AND HERE RECENTLY I WILL TURN THE KEY AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENS. I THEN TRY AGAIN AND IT STARTS LIKE A CHARM UNTIL ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO AND I COULD NOT GET IT TO DO ANYTHING, MY BOYFRIEND INFORMED ME TO TURN THE KEY AND PUT THE CAR IN THE NEUTRAL POSITION AND TRY TO START IT AGAIN THIS WORKED. ALL I KNOW IS THIS CAR HAS GIVEN ME MANY PROBLEMS THAT MY GM CERTIFIED MECHANIC FATHER IS SHORT OF FIGURING OUT. I BELIEVE IT IS DUE TO FAULTY PARTS OR JUST A BAD MAKE OF CAR. AFTER A FEW DAYS OF OWNING THIS CAR I NOTICED THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE BRAKE LIGHTS TURNING ON WHILE DRIVING. WHEN THIS HAPPENS IT ALSO SHUTS OFF THE CRUSE CONTROL TOO. WHEN YOU FIRST PRESS THE BRAKES THE LIGHTS SHUT OFF. PRESS THEM AGAIN AND THEY WORK FOR A FEW MINUTES. I SEARCHED THE INTERNET FOR HELP, AND NOTICED GM POSTED A SERVICE BULLETIN ON THIS ISSUE. GM ADVISED TO CLEAN, AND GREASE CONTACTS FOR BCM. I DID JUST THAT. THE CLEANING WAS ONLY A TEMPORARY FIX BECAUSE THE ISSUE RETURNED DAYS LATER. AROUND MAY OF 2014 I RECEIVED NOTICE THAT GM ISSUED SEVERAL RECALLS. THE CAR HAD BEEN BROKE DOWN UNTIL FEBRUARY OF 20015, AND IN APRIL IT WAS SENT TO MY LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER TO HAVE THE RECALLS FIXED. SHORTLY AFTER FIXING THE RECALL ISSUES THE BRAKE LIGHT ISSUES RETURNED. I CONTACTED GM/ CHEVROLET AND THEY CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALER WHO AGREED TO LOOK AT THE CAR AGAIN FOR FREE. AFTER THEY INSPECTED IT I WAS TOLD THE BRAKE SWITCH NEEDED REPLACED. ON MAY 28, 2015 MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALER REPLACED THE SWITCH. ON MAY 30, 2015 THE BRAKE LIGHT ISSUE RETURNED. THIS IS A FAMILY CAR AND IM AFRAID THAT SOMEONE WILL END UP HITTING US. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP.

FROM THE TIME WE BOUGHT THIS CAR IN JUNE 2014 TO NOW, THE CAR HAS PERIODICALLY SHUT OFF WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION. USUALLY IT HAS OCCURRED AT VERY LOW SPEED FORTUNATELY. IT IS DIFFICULT TO GET THE KEY TO THE TRUE OFF POSITION DESPITE THIS. THE RECALL ONLY CALLS FOR A PLASTIC INSERT TO BE INSTALLED ON THE KEY, WHICH WAS DONE ON 10/30/14. THE CAR STILLS HAS THE SHUT OFF ISSUE, IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE, AND THE DEALERSHIP SAYS IT NEEDS THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THE LOCK CYLINDER REPLACED. THE INSERT ON THE KEY IS INSUFFICIENT TO FIX THE IGNITION SWITCH ISSUE. ONE STILL HAS TO KEEP NOTHING ELSE ON THE KEY RING, YET GM INSISTS THE PROBLEM IS TRULY FIXED BY PUTTING AN INSERT ON THE KEY. SOUNDS LIKE THE IGNITION SWITCH IS FAULTY, TOO SENSITIVE AND THEY HAVE AN INSUFFICIENT FIX. *TR

I PURCHASED MY CHEVY MALIBU MAXX JANUARY OF JUST LAST YEAR AND I HAD TO REPLACE MY FRONT LEFT HEAD LIGHT THINKING NOTHING OF JUST NORMAL MAINTENANCE AND THIS WAS RIGHT AROUND AUGUST OF LAST YEAR AND IT IS NOW MARCH OF 2013 AND I JUST HAD TO DO IT AGAIN BUT THIS GO ROUND IT SEEMED MORE LIKE A SHORT BECAUSE IT STOPPED WORKING ONE NIGHT DRIVING HOME FROM WORK WHICH I DRIVE A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY AT NIGHT AND THAT NEXT MORNING IT WAS WORKING JUST FINE SO ME BEING THE NORMAL AMERICAN PERSON I THINK NOTHING OF IT BUT THE FOLLOWING DAY IT GOES OUT FULLY AND WHEN I WENT TO GO CHANGE THE LIGHT THIS TIME I NOTICED IT HAD ACTUALLY BURNED THROUGH THE AMBER COLOR COVER OF THE BULB AND ALSO BURNED THE SOCKET UP IN THE VEHICLE. BUT NOW GET THIS ABOUT THE SAME TIME LAST YEAR MY AUX FUSE BEGAN TO BLOW OVER AND OVER NOT THINKING ANYTHING ABOUT IT BUT NOW AFTER READING ALL OF THESE DIFFERENT SITUATIONS I KINDA WONDER IF THE TWO SITUATIONS COULD HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH ONE ANOTHER. *TR
TURN SIGNALS BURNING SO HOT THEY EXPLODE, AND MELT NOT ONLY HOUSING FOR BULB, BUT ALSO THE SOCKET IN ORDER TO REPLACE BULB IS MELTED TOO. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS AS I HAVE FOUND OVER 200 OTHER COMPLAINTS OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE! *TR
THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AFTER WORK IN THE PARKING LOT. ARRANGED A RIDE HOME AND DID SOME RESEARCH. WENT BACK TO THE VEHICLE AND GOT IT STARTED WITH SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO RESET THE PASSLOCK SYSTEM (SECURITY LIGHT ON DASH WAS ON). THE NEXT DAY THE VEHICLE WON'T START EVEN AFTER GOING THROUGH THE RESET PROCEDURE SEVERAL TIMES. THIS PROBLEM CAN LEAVE ONE STRANDED ANYPLACE AT ANYTIME. WE LIVE IN MININESOTA AND THAT CAN BE A REAL PROBLEM AT -20 DEG. AFTER READING ABOUT MANY PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE, I WAS MOTIVATED TO SHARE THIS IN HOPES OF INITIATING A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. *TR
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE VERY USED AT 143XXX MILES, FROM A "REPUTABLE" DEALER. I GOT A TUNE UP AS WELL AS AN OIL CHANGE, STANDARD USED CAR PURCHASE PROCEDURE. MY DAD INITIALLY BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT WHILE DRIVING MY FUEL GAUGE DROPPED DOWN TO E, THE LOW GAS LIGHT LIT UP AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. A LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE SAID I SHOULD USE A FUEL INJECTION KIT FOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. NOW I HAVE 146XXX MILES AND IT HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE TIME I GET GAS. IT'S NERVE RACKING BECAUSE I DO DRIVE FREQUENTLY AND MY MAIN CONCERN IS HOW MUCH GAS DO I HAVE? I CAME ACROSS A GUY THAT WORKS AT A DIFFERENT AUTO STORE AND HE SAID IT'S PROBABLY MY SENDER UNIT FOR MY GAS TANK, WHICH SHOULD COST ABOUT $300 TO FIX DEPENDING ON WHERE I TAKE IT. MY NEXT SET OF ISSUES IS MY HORN, I WAS UNAWARE THAT IT DIDN'T WORK UPON PURCHASING UNTIL I WENT TO HONK IT AND NOTHING HAPPENED. I TOOK IT TO MIDAS AND THEY REPLACED THE FUSE. AFTER DRIVING IT HOME THE HORN STOPPED WORKING AGAIN. I HEARD IT'S JUST SOME WIRES TOUCHING BUT NOBODY DOES ELECTRICAL WORK. TODAY, A FRIEND ASKED IF MY TURN SIGNALS WERE WORKING. I SAID THEY DID AND HE SAID THEY WERE BURNT UP, PLASTIC AND ALL. I LOOKED AND SURE ENOUGH THEY WERE MELTED AND THE LIGHT ITSELF WAS BLACK ON THE INSIDE AND IT LOOKED LIKE IT'S ON THE VERGE OF SHATTERING. HE ASKED IF THERE WERE RECALLS ON ANYTHING WITH THIS CAR, I TOLD HIM I CALLED A LOCAL CHEVY DEALER AND THE GUY INSISTED OTHERWISE. NOW, I CHECKED THIS WEBSITE AND BOTH THE GAS AND LIGHTS ARE ON A LIST OF RECALLS. APPARENTLY, NOT ALL DEALERS KNOW HALF THE INFORMATION THEY SHOULD FOR CONCERNED DRIVERS. *TR
MY CARS HEADLIGHTS ARE DIM AT NIGHT AND TAKE A WHILE TO GET BRIGHTER EVEN THOUGH I HAVE HAD THE BULB REPLACED AND THE LIGHTING COMPONENTS CHECKED OUT. THE WINDOWS WON'T ROLL DOWN FROM ANY SIDE OF THE CAR, A RECURRENCE FROM TWO YEARS AGO. ALSO MY DOORS WON'T UNLOCK FROM THE AUTO-UNLOCK BUTTON THAT SITS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE, THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS OF MY CHEVROLET CAR OWNERSHIP. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU CLASSIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER USING THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER, SMOKE STARTED TO EMIT FROM THE HOLDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER INSPECTING THE LIGHTER HE NOTICED MORE SMOKE COMING FROM THE WIRES THAT WERE ATTACHED TO THE RADIO, AIR CONDITIONER, HEATER, WHICH WERE ALSO BURNED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 194,000.
WE BOUGHT THIS CAR 4 YRS AGO IN AUG 2008 AT ONLY A FEW YRS OLD WE WERE VERY OPTIMISTIC THAT THE $ WE WERE SPENDING ON IT WOULD BE WORTH THE LESS UPKEEP THAN THAT OF THE 1994 CROWN VIC THAT WE TRADED IN (& MY HUSBANDS 78 OLDS THAT HAS ALWAYS REQUIRED MORE WORK THAN IT PUT OUT SINCE HE PURCHASED IT WHEN WE MET BACK IN 06). SINCE IT WAS A FEW YRS OLD WE THOUGHT THAT EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO WARRANTY ON OUR NEW "USED" CAR, WE WOULD BE OK. WE WERE WRONG. THE FIRST PROBLEM WE NOTICED WAS THE ALIGNMENT WHICH MAKES THE CAR SHAKE/VIBRATE AT SPEEDS 60+ & OUR FIRST VACATION WE TOOK IT ON WHICH WE ONLY DROVE 4-5 HRS THERE & WE ENDED UP WITH 2 FLAT TIRES ON THE WAY. THEN THE HEADLIGHTS & BLINKERS HAD TO BE REPLACED (FULL UNITS) BC BOTH OF THEM KEPT GIVING OUT & THE BULBS WEREN'T THE PROBLEMS & I KEPT GETTING TRAFFIC TICKETS BC I WASN'T ALWAYS AWARE WHEN ONE WOULD GO OUT. OUR 2 BIGGEST PROBLEMS TO DATE HAVE BEEN OUR FUEL SENSOR/ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WHICH QUIT WORKING AFTER 1 YR & I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS 10 TIMES BC IT ISN'T EASY TO KEEP UP WITH MILES/DATES & I HAVE KIDS SO FILLING UP EVERY DAY ISN'T EASY EITHER AS WELL AS THE LOCKS/BUTTONS ON THE DRIVERS DOOR THAT DO NOT WORK & I HAVE TO OPEN MY TRUNK WITH A KEY & HAD TO PAY $ TO GET AUTO LOCK SO THAT I DON'T HAVE TO MANUALLY LOCK THE DOORS W/ THE KEYS & THE TRANSMISSION/MOTOR WE HAD TO PAY $2750 TO REPLACE BC THE LAST ONE COMPLETELY GAVE OUT RESULTING IN THE CAR NOT BEING ABLE TO RUN WHATSOEVER & MY HUSBAND HAVING TO LITERALLY PUSH MY NEUTRAL CAR WITH HIS BC WE DIDN'T HAVE THE $ AT THE TIME TO FIX IT.. BESIDES THESE PROBLEMS THERE ARE THE SEATS (PLASTIC PANELS) FALLING/CRACKING APART, WE HAD TO REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD BC ANYTIME IT RAINED OUR SEATS WOULD BE COMPLETELY SOAKED.. & MANY OTHER PROBLEMS I STILL DEAL WITH. I WAS AT A STOP SIGN WENT TO PRESS GAS PEDAL TO TURN ONTO ROAD AND THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON NOR DID IT SHOW ANY CODES. GOT OUT OF CAR POPPED TRUNK PULLED RELAY FUSE OUT PUT IT BACK IN AND IT CRANKED UP,THEN ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK,GOING ABOUT 25 MPH AND IT JUST SHUT DOWN AGAIN,I REPEATED PULLING OUT RELAY FUSE AND PUT IT BACK IN THEN WAITED A MINUTE THEN IT CRANKED AND I DROVE STRAIGHT HOME. *TR
I HAVE OWNED MY 2005 MALIBU MAXX FOR JUST OVER A YEAR AND HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT TURN SIGNAL SOCKETS, BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES, THREE TIMES NOW DUE TO MELTED SOCKETS AND AMBER COVERS MELTING DOWN TO THE BULBS. EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE VENTED THEY DO NOT STAY COOL ENOUGH TO PREVENT SEVERE ELECTRICAL DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS. IN REPLACING THESE COMPONENTS I HAVE TO WAIT A WEEK UNTIL THE PARTS ARE SHIPPED OUT AND AM FORCED TO DRIVE WITH FAULTY EQUIPMENT. I AM UNABLE TO JUST REPLACE THE BULBS AND HAVE TO CONSTANTLY CHANGE THE BULBS OUT BEFORE THEY MELT TO THE SOCKETS. THIS IS A HUGE HAZARD AS THEY CAN GO OUT ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC PUTTING ME AT A GREATER RISK OF INJURY. UPON ATTEMPTING TO START MY VEHICLE AS ALWAYS I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. I HAD AN ANTI THEFT LIGHT COME ON AS WELL. I WAITED, TRIED AGAIN NO LUCK. TO HELP THINGS OUT MY CELL PHONE WAS DEAD AND I COULD NOT CALL ANYONE. I WAS EVENTUALLY ABLE TO GET BACK INTO MY WORK WHICH HAS HIGH SECURITY, AND I WAS ABLE TO CONTACT MY HUSBAND WHO EVENTUALLY WAS ABLE TO TELL ME HOW TO BYPASS THIS ISSUE. SO I WENT BACK OUT AND TRIED IT AND AFTER 10 MIN OF SITTING IN MY COLD CAR IN A DARK PARKING LOT ALONE I WAS ABLE TO START MY VEHICLE. THIS REALLY NEEDS TO BE FIXED. I FINALLY MADE IT HOME AN HOUR AND A HALF AFTER I WAS OFF WORK BUT WHAT A SCARY AND COULD HAVE BEEN EXPENSIVE ISSUE TO HAVE. *TR
I PURCHASED THIS 2005 CHEVY MALIBU USED. SHORTLY AFTER HAD THE RIGHT TURN SIGNAL BULB BLOW, THEN LEFT TURN AND BOTH HEADLIGHTS AT THE SAME TIME. WHILE REPLACING THE BULBS, I NOTICED THAT THE PLASTIC SURROUNDING THE TURN SIGNAL BULB HAD A LARGE HOLE IN IT FROM MELTING. THE OTHER ASSEMBLY HAD THE SAME HOLE BURNT IN THE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB COVER. I HAVE REPLACED THE BULBS AT LEAST 2 MORE TIMES THIS YEAR. THE PROBLEMS WITH BULBS FAILING SEEMS TO HAPPEN IN WET WEATHER MORE FREQUENTLY THAN DRY WEATHER. SO I BELIEVE WATER IS GETTING INTO THE HEADLAMPS THROUGH THESE HOLES. THE EXTREME HEAT IS CAUSING THE HEADLIGHT TO BECOME EXTREMELY CLOUDY. REPLACING THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE OTHERS HAVE SAID IT SOON STARTS TO MELT AGAIN. PLEASE NHTSA THESE LIGHTING SYSTEMS THAT ARE FAILING ARE VITAL FOR NIGHTTIME DRIVING, PLEASE GET CHEVY TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND FIX THIS DANGEROUS ISSUE. *TR
I HAD MY FIRST PROBLEM WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR. IT WOULD JERK & FELT IT WAS MOVING ON IT'S OWN. THEN THE LAMPS WOULD GO OUT AND I WAS REPLACING THE BULBS EVERY MONTH. THEN MY KEY STARTER HAS FAILED TWO TIMES AFTER REPLACING THEM. THE DRIVER SEAT HAS CALAPSED ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE. THE REAR SEAT HANDLE TO RAISE THE SEATS UP AND DOWN HAS BROKEN ON BOTH PASSENGER SIDE. MY LIGHTS HAVE BURNED OUT ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE YOU CAN SEE THE RESIDUE ON THE COVER. I HAVE A 2005 MALIBU MAXX. APPROXIMATELY 2 1/2 WEEKS AGO, I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE -VERY, VERY SLOWLY, THERE WERE A SERIES OF RED POLE ABOUT 3 FEET HIGH, I SAW THEM. I WAS TURNING RIGHT AND MY CAR JERKED TO THE LEFT ACCELERATED AND I HIT A POLE DAMAGING MY FRONT END. CAR WAS TOWED AND REPAIRED BY STATE FARM INSURANCE FOR ABOUT $2500.00. I GOT MY CAR BACK AND DROVE IT FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS, I WAS AGAIN PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE ONLY I WAS COMPLETELY IN AND PARKED, I WAS BRAKING AND SHUTTING OFF MY CAR WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THE BRAKE WENT COMPLETELY LOOSE, THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO SPIN AND THE CAR SURGED, IT SURGED AND FLEW OVER THE CURB ABOUT 6 FEET INTO AN ICE MACHINE AT A SPEEDWAY GAS STATION ON 15 MILE AND DODGE PARK IN STERLING HEIGHTS. THIS WAS ABOUT 8:15 - 8:30 A..M. . THAT CAR SURGED AND FLEW AT ABOUT 60 MPH MY FOOT NEVER LEFT THE BRAKE. THIS CAR WAS TOWED TO BUFF WHELAN CHEVROLET ON 18 AND VAN DYKE IN STERLING HEIGHTS MICHIGAN AND THEY ARE FIXING THE BUMPER. I HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM TO GENERAL MOTORS, TO THE PRESIDENT OF BUFF WHELAN AND TO KEITH ARMSTRONG IN THE UK WHO WROTE AN ARTICLE ABOUT CARS THAT SURGE IN 2010 FOR THE USA TODAY. I RECEIVED AFTER CONTACTING THE STERLING HEIGHTS POLICE A TICKET FOR RECKLESS DRIVING, WHICH I HAVE REQUESTED A HEARING OVER. I AM GOING TO BE PICKING UP MY CAR ON TUESDAY 8/9/2011 "FIXED" BUT I WILL HAVE IT TOWED SOMEWHERE, PROBABLY HOME. IT WILL NOT BE DRIVEN, THIS CAR SCARED ME TO DEATH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO BRING VEHICLE TO A LOCAL DEALER SO THEY COULD PERFORM A FAILURE DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
I OWN A 2005 MALIBU WITH 160,000 MILES ON IT. ON JUNE 16, 2011 I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER'S SERVICE CENTER BECAUSE A WEEK PRIOR MY CAR DOORS UNLOCKED AND MY ENGINE SHUT DOWN AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET. THIS HAPPENED TWICE ABOUT FOUR DAYS APART. THEY REPLACED THE OXYGEN SENSOR. AWEEK LATER IT STARTED DOING THE SAME THING BUT ABOUT EVERY TWO TO FOUR DAYS. I TOOK IT BACK ON JULY 16, 2011 AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG AND TOLD ME TO BRING IT BACK WHEN I COULD LEAVE THE CAR THERE. NOW THIS HAS BECOME A DAILY OCCURRENCE, EVEN HAPPENING TWO TO TEN TIMES A DAY DOING IT 6 TIMES WITHIN DRIVING LESS THAT A MILE AT TIMES. LUCKILY IT STARTS RIGHT BACK UP AND THAT I STILL HAVE CONTROL OF THE STEERING AND BRAKES. *TR

A LOCAL MECHANIC REPLACED THE PASSENGER HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY, BUT THE DRIVER HEADLIGHT ALSO FAILED. THE DRIVERS HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY WAS NOT REPLACED. MY 21 YR OLD SON WAS DRIVING HIS CAR ON A CITY STREET WHEN HE STARTED TO SMELL A BAD ODOR, POSSIBLY MELTING PLASTIC. WITHIN 15 SECONDS, FLAMES SHOT UP THE FRONT SEAT CENTER CONSOLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. HE QUICKLY PULLED OVER AND TRIED TO PUT OUT THE FLAMES. BURNING HIS HAND IN THE PROCESS AND REALIZING VERY QUICKLY THIS WOULDN'T WORK, HE QUICKLY AND URGENTLY LEFT THE VEHICLE AND CALLED 911. WITHIN 30 SECONDS OF LEAVING THE VEHICLE, THE FLAMES SPREAD AND COMPLETELY CONSUMED THE VEHICLE. THIS VEHICLE WAS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, NOTHING CHANGED/TAILORED FROM THE FACTORY (IE. STOCK PARTS INCLUDING THE RADIO), AND NO RECENT MAINTENANCE. IF THERE HAD BEEN A SMALL CHILD IN A CAR SEAT, ETC., THIS SITUATION COULD HAVE RESULTED IN SERIOUS INJURY, EVEN A DEATH. *TR

2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU MAXX (1) FRONT PARK/TURN/DRL LAMP INOPERATIVE AND OVERHEATING PROBLEMS. (2) REAR STOP/TURN/TAIL LAMP INOPERATIVE PROBLEMS. THIS CAR CURRENTLY HAS 41,000 MILES. THE LAMPS FOR THE LEFT FRONT (DRIVER SIDE)HAS BEEN REPLACED 5 TIMES AND RIGHT FRONT 3 TIMES. THE REAR LAMPS HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES EACH SIDE. MY MAJOR CONCERN AND CAUSE FOR THIS COMPLAINT IS THE OVERHEATING OF THE FRONT LAMPS (ITEM #1 ABOVE). THE UPPER SIDE AMBER PLASTIC HOUSING FOR THE LAMPS ON BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT HAS MELTED THROUGH AT THIS TIME. WHEN THE PROBLEM WAS FIRST DETECTED, THE AMBER HOUSING SHOWED SOME DISCOLORATION, BUBBLED PLASTIC. THIS SUGGESTED THE OVERHEATING PROBLEM EITHER HAS INTENSIFIED AND/OR THE PLASTIC HAS DEGRADATED OVER TIME. VISUAL INSPECTION SHOWED THE CHARRED/BURNT THROUGH AREAS ARE ADJACENT TO THE LAMP SOCKET. THIS INDICATES EXTREME SOCKET TEMPERATURE AND ALSO THE RISING HOT AIR AFFECT THE CEILING OF THE AMBER HOUSING. ALL THE BURNT OUT LIGHT BULBS SHOWED VARIOUS DEGREES OF CHARRING/MELTING/DEFORMATION ON THE PLASTIC BASE. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY THE EXTREME HIGH TEMPERATURE AND ELECTRICAL ARCING. THE REAR IS NOT AS SEVERE AS THE FRONT BUT NEVERTHELESS, SLIGHT ARCING CAN STILL BE OBSERVED ON THE BASE OF THE BURNT OUT BULBS. THE LEFT FRONT LAMP WAS SERVICED BY A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER ONCE ON DEC. 16 2009 UNDER TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 06-08-42-004. DEALER DEEMED ONLY THE BULB NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BUT NOT THE SOCKET. PRIOR TO THIS, THE PROBLEM ALREADY EXISTED AND BOTH FRONT AND BACK BULBS REPLACED. THE FREQUENCY OF THE BULB REPLACEMENT AND SIGNS OF ARCING TRIGGERED THIS VISIT TO THE DEALER. THIS REPAIR BY THE DEALER HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. SIGNS OF OVERHEATING AS EVIDENCED BY THE MELTING PLASTIC SHOWED THE PROBLEM HAS WORSENED. FEARING THE EXTREME HIGH TEMP CAN CAUSE FIRE, I VISITED THE DEALER YESTERDAY FOR REPAIR UNDER GOOD WILL REPAIR WAS DENIED. THEN ONE DAY THE CD PLAYER WOULDN'T QUIT WORKING, IT SHOWED I NEEDED TO EJECT CD BUT THERE WAS NO CD TO EJECT, IT WOULD WHIR CONSTANTLY. THEN ONE MORNING LAST FALL(2007) THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO POWER, WE GOT IT JUMP STARTED AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY DISCOVERED SOMETHING WITH AN IGNITION CONNECTION BEING PLASTIC INSTEAD OF METAL. THEY REPLACED THE ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN UNDER A GOODWILL WARRANTY. NOW MY VEHICLE IS DOING THE SAME THING, YOU TURN THE KEY AND THERE IS NO POWER, THE SECOND TIME THERE IS POWER, BUT THE INFO STATION IS RESET. I BOUGHT MY CAR ABOUT 9 MONTHS AGO. IT HAS ABOUT 36,750 MILES ON IT NOW AND MY THEFT SYSTEM LIGHT STARTED STAYING ON AFTER I WOULD START MY CAR. THEN A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER IT WOULD NOT LET ME START THE CAR AT ALL. THE THEFT SYSTEM LIGHT WOULD STEADILY BLINK. I HAD TO GET IT TOWED, THEY CHANGED OUT THE IGNITION IN IT AND REPROGRAMMED THE CAR AND RUNS FINE. THE GM PLACE I TOOK IT TO SAID THEY HAVE HAD A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THIS CERTAIN PART GOING OUT IN CARS. I DON'T THINK IT IS FAIR THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR THIS WHEN IT HAS BEEN OUT OF WARRANTY FOR ONLY 700 MILES. *JB
IN THE PAST WEEK, BOTH OF MY SONS' CARS DEVELOPED THE SAME PROBLEM. THE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM (GM PASSLOCK SYSTEM) FAILED WITH A RESULTING COST OF $500.00 EACH TO REPAIR. ON E WAS A 2002 OLDSMOBILE ALERO AND THE OTHER A 2005 CHEVROLET CLASSIC. THIS IS A BIT TOOOOO COINCIDENTAL FOR ME. I LOOKED AT FORUMS ONLINE AND HAVE FOUND THAT MANY PEOPLE WITH GM VEHICLES HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE SAME PART NUMBER.... THIS IS A RECALL ITEM, AND GM NEEDS TO MAKE IT RIGHT IF THEY WANT TO SELL CARS TO AMERICANS. THE CARS JUST REFUSE TO RECOGNIZE THE IGNITION KEY. THIS GOES FOR BACKUP IGNITION KEYS TOO. HELP US. *TR
I OWNED THE 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS. DURING THAT TIME I HAD TO REPLACE THE REAR TURN SIGNAL ONCE, AND THE FRONT TURN SIGNALS ABOUT 3 TIMES EACH. SOMETHINGWAS DEFINITELY WRONG WITH THE ELECTRICAL PART OF THIS VEHICLE. THE WARRANTY HAS NOW EXPIRED, SO I CAN GET NOTHING DONE ABOUT IT FROM GM OR CHEVROLET. *AK A SECOND COMPLAINT CONCERNS THE FAN FOR THE AIRCONDITIONER/HEATER. IT RATTLES CONSTANTLY. BEFORE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED I TOOK IT IN TWICE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAD REPAIRS DONE ON THE VEHICLE. ONCE THE MOTOR WAS REPLACED . . . WAS TOLD THEIR WAS SOMETHING LODGED IN THE FAN. A WEEK LATER THE SAME NOISE. NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED.
THE STEERING WHEEL LOCK BROKE THAT IN TURN MADE THE IGNITION SWITCH GO OUT AND NOT RECOGNIZE THAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO TURN, CAUSING THE LOCK AND TUMBLER TO NEED TO BE REPLACED. THEN, AFTER BEING REPLACED IT NEEDED TO BE TAKEN TO A DEALER TO HAVE A FLASH DONE TO IT, FOR THE CAR TO RECOGNIZE THE NEW IGNITION. YOU CAN'T GET OLD PARTS FOR THIS, AND THE PARTS HAVE TO BE PURCHASED FROM THE DEALER.*AK
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH THE ENTIRE LIGHTING SYSTEM FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OFF THE ROAD WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE HEADLIGHTS WERE MANUALLY SWITCHED ON AND THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER. THIS WAS THE THIRD TIME THIS SAME PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED. ON THE FIRST AND SECOND OCCASIONS THE ELECTRICAL COMPUTER SYSTEM WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN ALERTED.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN I SMELT A SMOKE SMELL THEN ABOUT A MIN LATER FLAMES STARTED ROLLING FROM UNDER THE DASH. THE FD WAS CALLED AND THE STATED THAT HE BELIEVED IT CAME FROM BEHIND THE AIRBAG COMPARTMENT. EARLIER IN THE DAY THE HEATER CONTROL MODULE WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AT RANDY REED CHEVY, SAINT JOSEPH MISSOURI 816.232.7704 THE FIRE CAUSED TOTAL LOSS TO THE CAR. *NM
UPON STARTING THE CAR, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WAS COMPLETELY DOWN EXCEPT FOR THE LOW FUEL WARNING LIGHT HOWEVER THE CAR HAD A FULL TANK. POWER WOULD RETURN TO THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INTERMITTENTLY WHEN THE TURN SIGNAL WAS ENGAGED. THE FAULT CLEARED AFTER SHUTTING THE VEHICLE OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES. *NM
IGNITION TENDS TO STICK AND CAUSES THE SOLENOID TO GRIND W/FLYWHEEL. I JUST RECEIVED A COPY OF A SERVICE BULLETIN FROM G.M. STATING THEY ARE AWARE OF A PROBLEM. HOWEVER, AT THIS TIME THE ENGINEERS WILL CONTINUE TO WOK ON A SOLUTION. *JB
MY 2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU, SOMETIMES WHEN TRYING TO START THE VEHICLE, IT FAILS TO START UNTIL ATTEMPTING 2 TO 3 TIMES BEFORE VEHICLE ENGINE STARTS, THIS IS A CONTINUAL PROBLEM. TURN SIGNAL TODAY DID NOT WORK, UNTIL AFTER I HAD TO SHUT ENGINE OFF AND RESTART IT BEFORE TURN SIGNALS WOULD WORK. VEHICLE HAS A TENDENCY TO PULL TO THE LEFT. STARTER DOESN'T ENGAGE PROPERLY. *NM
MULTIPLE PROBLEMS WITH 2005 CHEVY MALIBU. 1.) KEY STICKING IN IGNITION. RETURNED CAR TO DEALER 3 TIMES. TWO OF THESE TIMES THE KEY COULD NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION. IGNITION SWITCH REPLACED AND PARK CABLE ADJUSTED TWICE. 2.) TRACTION CONTROL (T/C), ABS AND BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON AT ENGINE START UP. A SENSOR WAS REPLACED IN RIGHT REAR WHEEL HUB AND BEARING. IN ADDITION, THE EBCM COMPUTER TO THE BREAK SYSTEM HAS BEEN REPLACED. VEHICLE IS NOW IN FOR SERVICE FOR THE 6TH TIME. ALL 3 LIGHTS ARE ON AGAIN. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH GENERAL MOTORS ON 6/13/05 WITH MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO FOLLOW UP ON MY FILE #1-34200114 BUT HAVE NOT HAD A RESPONSE OTHER THAN THEY ARE RESEARCHING MY CONCERNS.
IGNITION PROBLEM. SOMETIMES THE CAR WILL NOT CRANK OVER ON THE FIRST TRY TO START CAR. HAVE TO WAIT A FEW SECONDS AND TRY AGAIN. THEN IT WILL START.
