The contact owns a 2022 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, a crack in the sunroof glass was discovered. After opening the driver’s side door, the sunroof glass shattered causing shards of glass to fall into the cabin of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who informed the contact that the sunroof glass had shattered due to an object striking the vehicle. The contact stated that no objects had impacted the sunroof glass to cause the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 2,000.
