Your digital dashboard display has completely shut down while driving on the freeway, leaving you without speed and warning information and forcing you to stop. Before this complete failure, the display repeatedly crashed and restarted during driving, and it sometimes gets stuck in night mode during daytime driving, making it impossible to read in sunlight—requiring you to turn off the car and wait to fix it. The dealer performed a reset that temporarily helped, but the problem has returned with a complete failure. This issue likely requires a software update, display module replacement, or electrical system repair at the dealership.

Your car has experienced multiple brake issues despite two warranty replacements—the brakes make loud chattering and squealing noises, especially when cold and on the rear brakes. You've also had problems with a fuel valve requiring warranty replacement, an engine light (EPS) on the dash, a driver's door window that won't lower with one touch (repaired under warranty), and an infotainment screen that goes blank occasionally and requires a hard restart. These issues suggest potential problems with brake pad material quality, fuel system components, the power steering system, and the vehicle's electrical/software systems that may need diagnosis and component replacement.

Your car's OBD-II diagnostic port isn't properly connected, which prevents you from reading error codes when your check engine light comes on. This means you can't diagnose what's causing the warning light without taking your car to a dealer. The fix will likely involve reconnecting or repairing the OBD-II port connector inside your vehicle.

Your travel assist alarm has been activating repeatedly for over 3 weeks without any apparent reason. This constant false alarming could be distracting or annoying during driving. The issue likely involves a sensor or software glitch in your lane departure warning system that needs diagnostic evaluation and possible recalibration or component replacement.

Engine misfire on all cylinders. Engine start/stop failure, check engine light illuminates. Vehicle hesitates and looses power when accelerating. Vehicle then stalls while operating. Happens while in traffic or trying to pull out from intersection causing vehicle to stop in roadway. Almost causes crashes from rear due to sudden stop and sides due to not clearing the intersection. Dealer confirmed the issue but states there is no repair or known fix. Dealer said to use premium fuel which is not required by manufacturer. Problem still occurred with premium fuel. Several trips to two separate dealers and both state there is no fix for the dangerous issue just to keep driving it. The vehicle is available for inspection. This issues is occurring in other 2022 jettas and Taos models. Dealer stated they were aware of the issue but vw does not have a fix. Has occurred multiple times with my vehicle.
Vehicle problems experienced on 7/22/23. Traveling on Route 93 north to exit 17 just north of Concord, NH at 8:00pm. Used cruse control for most of trip, set to 60mph and 65 mph. The distance feature was working, what a PITA it is. Some where around Concord, NH a warning message in orange was displayed, “Engine speed max 4000” in center of display, an orange triangle with an “!” marked appeared just below the temperature gauge on left side of display, a yellow car with “!” on side appeared just below the estimated mileage remaining – it switched between that car and “EPC” cruse control was no longer available Stopped, checked the engine for over heating however it did not seem tooo hot, fans were not running (engine was off) Started again, lights were OFF. Rest of trip was on local roads so never tried cruse control. Left to return home around 2:00pm all warning lights OFF. Some where around Manchester, NH same thing happened plus orange picture of engine on right was illuminated, Cruse control would not maintain speed and then said unavailable. On hills vehicle would not move along with traffic even when foot was put to the floor. Drove directly to Colonial VW, did not shut vehicle OFF however nobody was available to read the computer codes. Scheduled appointment for Friday Driving home it was almost impossible to merge onto Route 93 even with accelerator pushed to floor. What ever the problem with your programming is the major fact that the vehicle is not able to keep up or merge with traffic even on local streets it a Major Hazard. VW may be concerned with saving their engine – I’m Concerned for my LIFE
The contact owns a 2022 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, a knocking sound was coming from the engine compartment, and the vehicle started shaking and stalled. The contact stated that the check engine and electronic power control (EPC) warning lights were illuminated. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the shoulder of the highway where the vehicle remained. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired or diagnosed. The failure mileage was approximately 4,500.
Electronic Power Control (EPC) issue: The car unit bogs down the acceleration and limits the RPMs, making it dangerous to drive on high way or even local road. The issue pops up spontaneously but went away after car was OFF for hour and restarted. Engine runs ruff and shacks along with laud banging sounds from under car. Suspect sensors, other messages seem to be out of place, such as "turn lights on" in morning when driving directly into sun light or the large red accident display with nothing around at all, different locations. Scan taken of car by dealer, nothing to explain why, however 2 plugs were somewhat dirty & will be replaced, only 1800 miles on car. Other errors on display, the yellow Front Assist which switched between that and the ECP, to far left under the temperature a yellow triangle priority symbol (some what red) These all came on at time of fault. Speed varied from 20 to 30 even when pushing pedal to bottom.
