Filed: Dec 2025

Your vehicle's emergency SOS button and CarNet connectivity system have stopped working, which means you can't contact emergency services if needed. The dealer replaced a communication module but didn't fix the problem, and the vehicle has been in the shop for over 2 weeks without resolution. Additionally, your brake pedal is making noise that the dealer hasn't properly diagnosed. This repair will likely involve diagnosing and replacing the vehicle's communication module and related wiring, plus inspecting the brake pedal assembly for the source of the noise.

While you were parked with your foot on the brake, your vehicle suddenly accelerated at full speed and crashed into a building in front of you. The vehicle wouldn't turn off even after you exited it. This has happened before—the previous time you only hit a curb. This is a serious safety concern that needs immediate investigation of your vehicle's data recorder.

Your infotainment screen shuts off while you're driving, and your driver display freezes at the same time. This means you can't see important information like your vehicle speed on the screen. Even though you've taken your car to the dealer twice, the problem keeps happening.

Your ID.4's navigation system has multiple issues: it's showing incorrect speed limits and GPS locations that are significantly off from where you actually are, causing wrong directions to charging stations and other destinations. These problems have also disabled the SOS emergency feature since the car can't determine its location, and Android Auto isn't working either. Your dealer has attempted repairs multiple times over three months without success. Fixing this will likely require a navigation module software update, GPS antenna inspection, or potentially a full module replacement.

ID.4 2024 Pro AWD (Canada) Cannot connect to CARNET (Since June 16 2024, for past 5 days), vehicle breaks suddenly on highway. Dash displays approaching intersection but there's no intersection. Traumatizing experience. 1. Vehicle was connected to Google map, but VW insists on trusting their own navigation system (even though it's not working). 2. No way for user to connect the car's network to be "online" using personal cellphone data. (Forcing user to buy CARNET package, otherwise safety is not guaranteed) 3. For a 2024 EV, vehicle should at least design safety measure for such scenario. If the driver's hands are detected on the steering wheel, and ACC is ON. The car will NOT auto break during intersection. (It doesn't break BEFORE the intersection any way!!!) In uploaded picture taken in an intersection. Connected to google map, but vehicle dashboard displays current road is 100 KM/H zone. (It's a 50KM/H zone). Driver safety cannot be promised!!!!

My door handles (all) were replaced per the last recall on the car. Even after the fix, the door handles only work some of the time. And, the locking mechanism is having problematic issues as well. I can assure you that the recall was was unsuccessful.

I purchased this vehicle a week ago, and it has only 300 miles on it. The problem: The charging port flap does not open, and therefore, the vehicle cannot be charged. I checked online, and there are many, many cases of this happening in VW vehicles; it is not restricted to EVs. Why is this a safety issue? Imagine you are in the middle of the night or under inclement weather conditions while going somewhere and you stopped to charge the battery. Since charging port does not open, you cannot charge the battery. You are stranded, stressed and exposed to potential crime, bad weather and aggravation of health problems that can lead to stroke and death. Why does VW use this defective charging or fueling port flap in spite of countless incidents of its not opening? Please issue a recall and force VW to install a working fuel port flap.
