highFORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
Filed: May 2025

Your truck's Pre-Collision System warning light keeps coming on while you're driving, along with a message telling you to see a dealer. You've also noticed the rear passenger wheel locking up at times, and your check engine light is on. Even after disconnecting the battery to reset the system and cleaning the cameras yourself, the warning persists. This likely requires a dealer diagnostic to identify whether the issue is with the camera sensors, wiring, or the collision avoidance control module itself.

highFORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
Filed: Dec 2022

Your forward collision warning system has activated twice without any vehicles actually in front of you — once on a highway at 70+ mph and again at lower speeds on a local road. Both times, the system automatically applied the brakes and displayed a crash warning on your dashboard, even though there were no obstacles ahead. The second incident nearly caused an accident with a vehicle behind you. A dealer inspection will likely involve checking the radar sensor alignment, cleaning the sensor lens, and updating the collision avoidance system software.
