Your 2023 Ram 3500 was built with a defective left upper coil spring mount that allows the coil spring to slip off its locking position, leaving it unsecured to the frame. You may first notice a squeaky noise when driving, which can progress to clunking and metal-on-metal sounds, along with uneven suspension feel between the left and right sides. If the spring becomes completely dislodged while driving—especially while towing—your suspension could fail entirely, causing loss of control. The dealer and Ram's area engineer have confirmed the defect and advised against highway driving; the manufacturer may need to replace the frame assembly or the entire suspension mount structure.
