FUEL SENSOR FAILURE AT 52,000 MILES. VEHICLE WAS PARKED FOR 2 DAYS AROUND CHRISTMAS, STARTED DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS AND ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, 'FUEL SENSOR FAILURE' ALERT COMES ACROSS, FUEL GAUGE ON EMPTY WHILE HAVING A FULL TANK.
FUEL IS LEAKING FROM THE FUEL FILTER HOUSING CONNECTOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. RECALL EXISTS FOR THIS CONDITION BUT MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BUT HAS THE SAME ISSUES.
WATER PUMP SEIZED UP AND CAUSED BELT TO BREAK LEAVING NO POWER BRAKES OR STEERING WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE INTERSTATE!! I GOT THE RECALL FOR THE WATER PUMP BUT CAUSING A FIRE LIKE THE RECALL SAYS DOES NOT DESCRIBE THE SERIOUSNOUS OFF THIS DEFECT! IS THE ONE THEY REPLACED IT WITH IN JUNE OF 2016 GOING TO DO THE SAME THING???
EXPERIENCED ACCELERATION LAG OR DEAD PEDAL AS OTHERS REFER TO IT. IN AN INTERSECTION READY TO TURN, PLENTY OF TIME TO CROSS TO THE LEFT BEFORE ONCOMING TRAFFIC. START TO TURN STEP ON THE GAS AND NOTHING FOR 2 A 3 SECONDS. ABOUT HAD A HEART ATTACK RIGHT THERE. ONCOMING TRAFFIC SLAMS ON THEIR BRAKES, LAYS ON HORN AND GESTURES AT ME WITH THEIR MIDDLE DIGIT AS MY TRUCK FINALLY ACCELERATES OUT OF THE WAY.
TRUCK AT FACTORY HIGH IDLE, PARKED IN DRIVEWAY AC ON MAX COOL AND THE FAN CLUTCH ENGAGEMENT CAUSED THE RUBBER FAN SHROUD TO SUCKED INTO THE ENGINES COOLING FAN. RAM STAR CASE #: 1307000002. JUST PURCHASED USED, AND THERE ISNT EVEN A BOLT TO SECURE THE FAN SHROUD MAKING IT EVEN MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO BECOME INTANGLED AND PUNCTURE OF THE RADIATOR IS THE RESULT. VEHICLE IF MOVING COULD CAUSE ENGINE FAILURES DUE TO EXTREMELY POOR DESIGN OF SOFT PLYABLE RUBBER TO BE IN A HIGH VOLUME NEGATIVE PRESSURE SITUATION. LOSS OF BRAKES AND STEERING COULD SOON FOLLOW. RAM KNOWS OF THE ISSUE YET DECLINES TO FIX UNDER POWER TRAIN WARRANTY BECAUSE THE RADIATOR AND ENGINE COOLING FAN DOESNT FALL UNDER POWERTRAIN, YET IT IS AS IMPORTANT OR MORE IMPORTANT THAN ENGINE LUBRICATION AND SAFETY OF OCCUPANTS IN THE VEHICLE IF DESCENDING A MOUNTAIN PASS PULLING A HEAVY LOAD WHICH COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF LIFE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 3500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT OR A STOP SIGN, THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE WAS FILLED WITH FUEL FUMES. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 1,000.
I WAS TRYING TO PULL OUT OF A DRIVE WAY ON A COUNTRY ROAD. THE ROAD WAS OBSCURED AND HARD TO SEE AROUND THE CORNER. I STARTED TO PULL OUT SLOWLY TO SEE AROUND THE CORNER. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AT THAT TIME A LOADED LOG TRUCK CAME AROUND THE CORNER AND I WAS IN HIS WAY. I AUTOMATICALLY PRESSED DOWN ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND THE TRUCK JUST SAT THERE FOR ABOUT 2 TO 3 SECONDS BEFORE IT STARTED TO MOVE. THE LOG TRUCK HAD ALL ITS BRAKES LOCKED UP AND SMOKING. I?M REALLY GLAD THE TRUCK DRIVER HAD GOOD REFLEXES. I DON?T KNOW IF MY BOYS AND I WOULD HAVE MADE IT THROUGH A CRASH LIKE THAT. I BELIEVE THIS IS A REALLY BIG SAFETY ISSUE AND IT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED AT ONCE. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT IT IS THAT WAY FOR THE SAFETY OF THE DRIVE TRAIN. THAT JUST DON'T SEEM RIGHT TO ME. SAVE THE DRIVE TRAIN FORGET THE PEOPLE? *TR
