Your ABS (anti-lock brake system) is malfunctioning randomly and unpredictably, which is especially dangerous when towing an RV since it also disables your trailer brakes and traction control. When the ABS fails, it can also affect how your transmission functions. The replacement part is currently unavailable.

Your truck's integrated brake controller isn't working properly with your trailer brakes. When you activate the brake controller, your trailer fails to brake as it should. This problem has been happening since you bought the truck and hasn't been diagnosed or repaired yet. The issue likely involves the brake controller module or its wiring connection to the trailer brake system.

Your Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and brake assist warning lights turned on while driving at 50 MPH. Your dealer found that the ABS module (which helps prevent wheel lockup during braking) had failed and needed replacement, but the part wasn't available because it was under engineering review with no estimated delivery date. Your vehicle wasn't repaired because the replacement part couldn't be obtained.

Your truck's ABS light is on, and your traction control, cruise control, and 4-wheel drive are not working. These systems likely share a common control module that's on back order with a long wait time. Since you tow a camper, losing these safety and control features could affect your towing capability and safety.

VEHICLE IS A 2014 RAM 3500 TURBO DIESEL. THE COMPUTER SYSTEMS HAVE REQUIRED NUMEROUS UPDATES AND HAVE FAILED 3 TIMES WHEN TRAVELLING. THE BRAKES FAILED WHEN NEW AND A COMPUTER UPDATE FIXED THAT AFTER I HAD AN ACCIDENT. THE PCM ENGINE CONTROLLER FAILED AT 20,000 AND SHUT US DOWN WHILE TOWING A LARGE 5TH WHEEL. IN JULY 2016 THE PCM FAILED AND THE DEF WOULD NOT FEED; AGAIN BROKEN DOWN WITH A LARGE 5TH WHEEL ATTACHED TO THE TRUCK. ON OCTOBER 8, 2016 AT 41,700 MILES THE DEF SYSTEM HAS FAILED AGAIN LEAVING US STRANDED AGAIN WHILE ON THE ROAD. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO BE STUCK BESIDE THE HIGHWAY WITH A BROKEN DOWN TRUCK DUE TO REPEATED COMPUTER FAILURES. THIS PROBLEM IS ALSO LIMITING OUR TRAVEL PLANS BECAUSE OF THE FEAR AND DANGER ASSOCIATED WITH AN UNRELIABLE TRUCK. I THINK THAT THIS TRUCK SHOULD BE RETURNED TO THE DEALER AND WE SHOULD BE GIVEN A NEW TRUCK.
THE PARKING (EMERGENCY BRAKE) DOES NOT WORK AND NEVER HAS SINCE VEHICLE WAS NEW. IT WOULD LOCK UP AT TIMES BUT THEN NOT WORK TO KEEP VEHICLE FROM ROLLING. THIS SEEMS RATHER INSIGNIFICANT UNTIL YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THE VEHICLE HAS NO PARK(NO PARKING POSTION) SO THE PARKING BRAKE MUST WORK TO KEEP VEHICLE FROM ROLLING, THIS VEHICLE WILL ROLL ANYTIME MOTOR IS OFF UNLESS PARKING BRAKE(EMERGENCY BRAKE) IS ENGAGED. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MANY TIMES TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE AND IT HAS NEVER EVEN BEEN IMPROVED!!! SAFETY ISSUE IS THAT VEHICLE SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO BE MANUFACTURED WITH NO PARK! UNLIKE A STANDARD TRANSMISSION WHICH CAN BE PUT IN GEAR WITH MOTOR OFF TO STOP FROM ROLLING THERE IS NO WAY ON THIS VEHICLE OTHER THAN THE PARKING BRAKE!(EMERGENCY BRAKE) I HAVE VIDEO OF THE PROBLEM AND HERE IS A LINK TO THAT VIDEO.
