On july 5th, 2019 I was driving down I-95 from beaufort sc to jacksonville, nc going 75mph. I had been using my cruise control for about an hour and traffic was pretty busy but I was still able to maintain a safe distance and continue using my cruise control. As it often does in the carolinas, it began to light rain so I attempted to slow down my speed.

After the new update that was forced on the eco diesels owners, I have had problems with accelerating after starting up and taking off. We have almost been in an accident due to this lag in acceleration. It gets a little better as it warms up but not much better.

"eco diesel emissions update," upon having my truck ecm flashed with the court settlement emission update, I have observed severe power loss. To the point of 4-5 seconds of delay when initially pulling out in to traffic on any road or highway. Very sluggish and has almost caused me to have an accident .

The ABS module failed on my truck and was replaced using an OEM part. The newly installed module worked for a few months, but failed. Upon failure the speed control failed, the ABS light came on and the truck was stuck in the middle of the street where I tried to restart the vehicle.

ABC Control Module - The warning lights that are on in the Dashboard are the ABS Light, Traction Control Light and the Brake Light. When these lights came on, I took it to the Ram Dealership, and they told me that it was the ABS Control Module that was bad and needed replaced. The lights stay on all of the time, so I do not have any ABS Braking, Tractor Control or Cruise Control.

Was advised by independent mechanic that the ABS module needs to be replaced, and this part has been unavailable for over 8 months. Contacted dealer and they also advised part is unavailable and they did not know when it would be available.

The ABS electronic module has failed. The replacement part from the dealership has/is on “Engineering Hold “ since November, extended to December 19, then extended to January 17, and now extended to February 19th. The ABS modules for Dodge Ram trucks from 2017 onwards are on recall.

Been inspected by the dealer. ABS modules as with many other owners cannot be replaced due to a lack of inventory on a vehicle less than 10 years old. ABS and traction control lights stay on as well as having the brakes locking up during wet conditions.

Vehicle ABS system, brake, and towing problem warning lights are on as well as loss of cruise control. I started noticing my cruise control not functioning properly about a month or two prior to total failure. The local RAM dealer in Live Oak, FL. verified problem and admitted this has been an ongoing issue. Replacement parts are not available with a tentative availability date in March. In my research I have found these estimates of part availability to be hopeful guesses. In the meantime I am not able to tow my travel trailer or utility trailer due to this unsafe condition. My vehicle has approximately 82,000 miles on it and for this to be happening to so many of these similar vehicles is unacceptable and Chrysler be held liable for this issue. I cannot safely take my family on vacation with our travel trailer without having use of the trailer braking system. I cannot sell the vehicle like this nor can I afford to buy another vehicle to replace this RAM 1500. Thank you.

While driving with cruise control on and I have to hit the brake to kick the cruise control off .sometimes when I push the button to kick it back on it will not go back on, so I turn the cruise off and back on it will not work until I stop and turn the truck off and start it back up before the cruise control will reset

I HAD MY VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALER FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND WAS TOLD THERE WERE SOME RECALLS. LONG STORY SHORT IS THE "RECALL" WAS A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO FIX EMISSIONS ISSUES. AFTER THE RECALL WORK THE ENGINE PERFORMANCE IN DANGEROUSLY BAD. THERE IS A DELAY IN ACCELERATION THAT IS GOING TO GET SOMEONE KILLED. I DON'T DRIVE MY TRUCK VERY HARD SO I DIDN'T NOTICE IT AT FIRST, BUT I WENT TO MAKE A LEFT HANDED TURN AT A LIGHT AND WAS ALMOST HIT BECAUSE MY TRUCK DIDN'T PERFROM AND IT HAD IN THE PAST. THE LITERATURE I WAS GIVEN AFTER THE "RECALL" WORK WAS DONE SAY "THE AEM IS NOT EXPECTED TO CHANGE ANY OF YOUR KEY VEHICLE ATTRIBUTES, SUCH AS RELIABILITY, DRIVABILITY, VEHICHLE PERFORMANCE ETC." FALSE. AGAIN SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET THIS DONE AND BE IN AN ACIDENT WHEN THEIR TRUCK DOES PERFORM AS IT DID IN THE PAST. I NOW DRIVE THIS LIKE ITS A GUTLESS WONDER BUT SOMONE ELSE MIGHT NOT BE AS LUCKY. I REPORTED THIS TO CHRYSTLER AND HAD IT IN THE THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT WAS "WORKING AS INTENDED". DANGEROUS.

Since purchasing the truck in january of 2020 I've noticed a serious delay in time from when the accelerator is engaged to when the throttle responds. This is especially noticeable when the truck has not been running for more than 10 minutes. I assume since this is a common complaint it was occurring before I purchased the vehicle.

Since I've had the aem updated as part of the epa settlement I have delay when pressing the gas and acceleration, particularly when it is cold. There has also been a significant MPG drop although that isn't an immediate safety concern. This can be a particular issue when pulling into interchanges or on to the highway as acceleration is unpredictable.

Since getting the ram eco diesel mandatory recall / re flash. I have experienced a "dead pedal." it's not as bad in warmer weather but now we are starting to experience colder mornings and winter is right around the corner. The drive-ability of the vehicle is unsafe and unsettling.

After fca completed the emissions recall on my 2016 ram the truck now does not want to accelerate into traffic. This is caused several issues when trying to merge into traffic or onto the interstate. Also while pulling a trailer I was not able to accelerate properly into traffic or to the highway.

When accelerating rapidly (a heavy foot on the gas pedal) the vehicle often remains in acceleration mode once the pedal is released, and the vehicle continues to increase its velocity. Braking does not fix this issue. Twice now I've had to switch the truck to neutral, and let the computer figure out I didn't want the gas pedal anymore.
