Your front passenger and rear driver-side door locks aren't working — you can't lock or unlock these doors. This is likely caused by faulty door lock actuators (the motorized mechanisms that operate the locks). Repair will involve replacing the defective door lock actuator motors on the affected doors.

Your driver's door sometimes won't lock when you press the lock button on your key fob or the door lock switch. This happens intermittently, and the door may appear unlocked even after multiple attempts to lock it. The problem could be related to a faulty door lock actuator or wiring issue that may need electrical diagnosis and repair.

Electrical System, unknown Or Other →2 issues
Your driver's side door became stuck and wouldn't open even though the lock showed it was unlocked — you couldn't open it with the key fob, manually, or from outside. The dealer found that both door actuators on the driver's side were faulty. Replacing faulty door actuators typically involves removing the door panel and installing new electronic locking mechanisms.

Water is leaking into your car through the back driver's side door, causing a swishing sound when you open it. This water buildup could potentially damage electrical components and cause rust. You're also experiencing starting issues where your car won't recognize the key fob, and you have to disconnect and reconnect the battery to start the vehicle. The fix will likely involve sealing the door weather stripping and having the electrical system inspected for water damage.

Electrical System →2 issues
Your 2020 Nissan Sentra won't start and is displaying multiple warning lights on the dashboard, including engine malfunction, ABS, forward emergency braking, rear automatic braking, and seat belt indicators. After two repair visits totaling $1,824 in out-of-pocket costs, the same malfunction and forward braking warning lights have returned, along with a malfunctioning seat belt warning that buzzes intermittently regardless of whether the seat belt is fastened. The repair may require electrical system diagnosis, wiring inspection, and replacement of faulty sensors or control modules.

Your driver side front and rear door locks aren't responding to the key fob. Specifically, your front door won't unlock and your rear door won't lock when you use the fob. This means you may have trouble locking or unlocking those doors remotely. The fix will likely involve diagnosing the key fob receiver module or the door lock actuators on the driver's side.

While backing up and turning your steering wheel, you heard a clicking sound from under the front of your vehicle. Your dealer told you that your tie rods needed to be replaced. The issue appeared around 21,900 miles and is related to two separate Nissan steering safety recalls. Replacing the tie rods should eliminate the clicking noise and restore proper steering function.

While turning, you heard abnormal clicking sounds from the front of your car and felt the steering wheel vibrating violently, though no warning lights appeared. Your dealer found that the tie rods had failed. This issue was related to a known Nissan safety recall (Campaign 23V581000), and your vehicle was repaired in September 2024 at 57,000 miles. The repair likely involved replacing the failed tie rods to restore proper steering control.

Back Over Prevention, forward Collision Avoidance →1 issue
Your backup camera displays a blue screen or fuzzy image instead of a clear view behind you, and your automatic emergency braking system engages unexpectedly while reversing without any obstacles present—causing sudden stops and excessive wear on your brake pads and rotors. Your forward collision warning also malfunctions and triggers emergency braking during normal driving with no objects ahead, creating hazardous sudden stops on the road. A mechanic found loose wires and secured them, but the backup camera issue returned shortly after. The problems started in March 2024 and appear to be a recurring electrical or sensor issue.

Forward Collision Avoidance →1 issue
Your car's brakes are randomly slamming on without warning, often after the traction control stops working. This happens frequently in rain, snow, or fog, and you're concerned about causing a pile-up if another vehicle is following you. The dealership has refused to investigate or acknowledge the problem. Addressing this will likely require a diagnostic scan of your anti-lock brake system (ABS) and traction control module to identify the underlying electrical or sensor issue.

Electrical System,service Brakes,forward Collision Avoidance →1 issue
Your car's automatic emergency braking (AEB) system malfunctioned, and your brakes failed to work properly—even the emergency brake barely functioned. This caused you to hit a curb and debris while driving, damaging your rims. This is the third time this has happened to your vehicle, and the dealer says the manufacturer won't cover brake line damage even if it's a factory defect.

Service Brakes, forward Collision Avoidance →1 issue
Your brake sensor has malfunctioned twice within a week of each other. The first time, your brakes engaged on their own while driving at 20 mph with no obstacles around, and a warning light appeared on your dashboard. The second malfunction occurred the next morning, and your car wouldn't start—the dealer replaced the battery but couldn't identify the underlying sensor issue. This repeated problem is a safety concern that could cause an accident if brakes engage unexpectedly. The repair will likely involve diagnosing and replacing the faulty brake sensor or related electrical components in the brake system.

Back Over Prevention →1 issue
Your rearview camera display stops working when you shift into reverse, even though no warning lights come on. You had it repaired under warranty at a dealer, but the problem happened again. The dealer won't fix it a second time because there's no recall for your vehicle. The issue started around 32,440 miles. A technician will likely need to diagnose the camera system or its wiring connections.

Steering,back Over Prevention →1 issue
Your 2020 Nissan Sentra had a steering recall performed at the dealer, but you didn't receive any documentation to confirm the work was done. Additionally, your rearview camera is displaying a blue image when you put the car in reverse, which blocks your view and makes it unsafe to back up. The dealer asked you to pay for repairs on the backup camera issue, but you refused since it may be covered under recall.

Unknown Or Other, forward Collision Avoidance →1 issue
Your car's automatic emergency braking system is triggering unexpectedly while you're driving, even when there's nothing in front of you. This happens frequently and unpredictably, creating a safety concern. The Nissan dealer suggested frequent car washes and cleaning the sensor window, but you've already tried cleaning and the problem persists. The issue likely requires sensor replacement or recalibration by a technician.

Lane Departure, forward Collision Avoidance →1 issue
Your car's windshield camera (located above the rearview mirror) and forward collision braking system both stopped working at the same time. These safety features help prevent crashes by detecting obstacles ahead and applying brakes automatically. When both systems fail together, your car loses important crash-prevention capabilities that protect you and your passengers.

Lane Departure, back Over Prevention →1 issue
After your car was serviced at the dealership for recall repairs, your backup camera has started showing a blue screen on multiple occasions—something that never happened before the service. This issue appears to be a result of the recall work performed. The fix will likely involve diagnosing and correcting the camera system connection or software that may have been affected during the recall repairs.
