2018 Nissan Rogue Electrical Problems

last year the car was taken to the local Nissan dealer, all of a sudden the car battery needs Jump; it cost me 600 dollars and now the car is doing the same again; on the Nissan blog many 2018 Rogue owners experience the same issue. also there are all kind of warning lights coming up in my instrument panel scheduled as collision warning, parking.

Unknown , on November 23, 2022. I [XXX] hit a deer that jumped out in front of me while driving 45, 50 MPH not one airbag went off and I hit the deer pretty hard. The deer had broken legs and it was all broken up, scared me because not one airbag not no nothing was there to help me.

While driving the car randomly turns off I’ve had the car serivced and they can’t figure out the problem. It randomly stalls. Many people are having this problem if you just look up any Nissan rouge in 2018 review a lot have the said the same thing I’ve been lucky enough to notice before it happens but it could lead to someone’s death if not seriously looked at

On march 31, 2020, while slowing for a traffic light, my vehicle began to shake violently and as I came to a complete stop, the engine shut off. Upon taking the vehicle to a local nissan dealership, I was informed that the engine wiring harness would need to be replaced.

Takata recall 2 occasions vehicle was in motion, once 35+ MPH and 40mph. Car literally stopped in the middle of the road with moving traffic. Dealership claimed it was the sensor the first time & switched it.

First issue was about a month ago and was the navigation screen. It would not turn on when car was on and would go blank. I took to the dealership and they just reset and update.

Over the past 3 months, while driving on the highway, I would hear a series of 3 beeps and the collision detect warning light would light up for a brief moment. This has happened about 6 times. On one occasion the vehicle slowed down briefly as well.

Car will say obstruction ahead while in motion and then dead stop. This happens in parking garages, if the road has a dip and a puddle, under bridges, going at speeds from 5-15mph.

My nissan rogue has experienced the same issue 3 times in a 2 month period. 1st time - driving, crossing a busy intersection front end shuddered, shook heavily, check engine light came on. I was able to drive it to local mechanic who ran diagnostics and stated there were too many codes regarding the electric system and recommended I take it to dealership.

Driver door will not open from outside or inside vehicle. Based on research this is an acuator issue that Nissan has known about since 2014 & failed to issue a recall. I am in the process of costly repair @ personal expense for a clear safety issue the know about & have failed to address, & would like reimbursement for.

The A/C does not work on the driver side making it impossible to defrost the windshield. The passenger side of the windshield defrosted, but not the drivers side making the vehicle impossible to drive as there was no vision for the driver.

Driver seat moves back and forth while driving, speed control goes wild while driving, transmission does keep gear nor speed level .. leaking out of motor while the car is turned off after driving for a couple of minutes.. key jackknife is very week..

First I lost heat only on the driver side and took it to get repaired. Less than a month later the driver side heat went back out and when I took it back to the dealership in Avon, Indiana I was told the manufacturers were not making the part currently, this was in November and December 2021 and I still have no heat.

The backup camera periodically freezes when you put the vehicle in reverse. Other times, the screen will stay black or just show the Nissan logo until you cycle power. The safety of all inside the vehicle and around the vehicle is at risk when the backup camera feed freezes, especially if the operator doesn't realize the feed is frozen.

When my vehicle is parked and turned off I am unable to lock or unlock it using the power button on the doors' exterior. My vehicle started doing this after a visit to a nissan dealership (2551 the nalley way, atlanta, ga 30360) for a simple oil change.

This is a new incident for same vehicle reported in NHTSA incident #11308847. The vehicle was attempted to be picked up for the first time since february 10, 2020 when it was involved in a wreck on that date. Vehicle had been with nissan representatives continuously since that date.

My vehicle would not start three separate occasions and the dealership told me it was the battery however it keeps happening and they will not check the alternator. If the alternator is bad my battery will not stay charged and they should know that as a mechanic.

The infotainment system, which includes the cameras and navigation system randomly reboots itself. While using navigation the entire system will reboot itself. Sometimes the touch screen will freeze up and it has to be manually rebooted.

Bought this car be with 42 miles on it. About a month after I bought it the aeb system started activating and slamming the brakes when nothing was in front of me. I had never had a car with this feature before.

When a consumer has any type of warranty issue or safety issue serviced by their local nissan dealer, is nissan north america required to report the issue to NHTSA? Because I'm confident nissan knows exactly how many navigation systems exactly like mine they have replaced under warranty. I would love to know that number.

Nissan just released a customer initiative letter pertaining to the automatic emergency braking system that states the system may activate on its own causing the vehicle to stop suddenly. Nissan apparently has a fix for it but it has to happen first. This system already had a program update applied to it and the system still deactivated itself after driving.

While driving, the automatic emergency braking system dash light flashes. Nissan suggests the issue is due to frost. The radar sensor is located behind the front grille emblem and may be blocked due to frost build up.

The aeb system is malfunctioning. On multiple occassions the car suddenly breaks eventhough there is nothing in front of the car. It has only happened to me while on the highway - generally the roads are clear.

My trunk is not working at all. Tried to reset it but the fuses are still in good shape. The trunk will not open with the keys, inside near steering wheel, and at the back.

The key is inside the car and receive a message. The key is not identified. this has happened multiple times, and several times unable to start vehicle.

- Automatic Emergency Brake Malfunction. Was driving when suddenly without warning the vehicle started braking - flashing lights on dashboard. It all happened so fast and brief I did not see what the warning said.

When the vehicle is turn off the radio is still on and playing when the car is off and had several diagnostic test nothing came back battery ran down 4 times in 1 week got new battery drained it in 2 days..pulled the fuse to audio battery hasn't drained since...something is not wired right...should not have to remove fuse of audio/radio on a 2018 vehicle...this needs to be recalled...please I spent $400 unnecessary dollars on this issue..please

The backup camera blacked out when backing out of my driveway. I tried restarting the car and it didn't resolve the issue.

I received a Chassis Control System Error. When I tried to restart my car after it randomly shut off. I’ve had the car check and they thought it was the battery they did a check and the battery’s and all the parts are fine.

The trunk hatch sensor does not always detect when there is someone in the trunk. I have had multiple incidents where whether I use the fob or the manual button on the truck door it’s self it will open and then immediately start to close when I am standing underneath it. I have almost gotten pinned under the trunk door and had to quickly get out from underneath before it closed.

Key gets stuck in ignition and have to wiggle to get it out

Brand new 2018 nissan rogue, driving to work at around 6am roughly 30mph. Was jamming out and all of a sudden the car comes to a complete stop without any warning. Laptop bag which was on the front seat slammed into the dash, luckily I was wearing my seatbelt or I would have had nissan steering wheel for breakfast.

The trunk when opened will open all of the way and then will close automatically almost immediately and without warning. The vehicle is stationary, off, and in park usually, but it will also happen when the vehicle is stationary, on, and in park. I has happened multiple times.

I would like to report an issue with the vehicles automatic braking assistance system. While driving the car on an avenue, the car just stopped completely with no other traffic in the area. No one in front or behind.

The emergancy braking system goes off for no reason when I was driving down the road with no vehical or object in front of the veheical that should cause it to stop. When it goes off the brakes are applied and the car stops in the road.

My car suddenly stopped a couple of times while no other object was in front of me. And now I encountered a malfunction that appears as a warning on my dashboard showing the early brake detection not working properly. I took a picture of what it looks like

In parking garage the emergency stop engages every floor while going up the ramp and also finding a parking space. Speed will be 15mph or lower and will cause the breaks to slam potentially causing a wreck everyday I work in the area due to all the cars being so close together.

The car's automatic emergency braking system brakes suddenly without warning and randomly. It does so without any obstacles or obstructions visible, or when vehicles are in the vecinity while driving. This proposed safety feature in actuallity has made these experiences feel it as unsafe.

When driving the automatic braking feature will automatically engage with nothing in my sorounding causing my car to go to a quick stop on the highway etc. This has happened multiple times since I have purchased the vehicle new in february.

This vehicle is equipped with a front radar system which will apply emergency breaking if objects are sensed to be in front of the vehicle while it's in motion. On jan 29, 2019, my vehicle engaged emergency braking while I was crossing a railroad crossing on a rough city street.

Nissan connect infotainment system resets itself after about 4 hours of driving. Was driving on a highway and system just went blank, lost all navigation, stereo and connectivity with phone, very aggravating when trying to follow the navigation. This happened twice on a long highway trip.

Navigation system shut down while driving on highway. Affected everything on screen, radio, directions, etc. Also deactivated the blind side detection system.
