2016 Nissan Rogue Suspension Problems

This complaint concerns a 2016 Nissan Rogue purchased from a used-vehicle dealership and involves safety-related defects present at or shortly after sale, raising concerns regarding inspection adequacy, disclosure accuracy, and systemic sales practices.

There is a safety recall on my vehicle. It could possibly catch fire.

transmission failure suddenly while driving with no check engine or warning lights.

At 135,000 miles, this car should not have transmission failure. The Constant Variable Transmission is defective and should be eligible for recall.

I noticed my back wheel making a rubbing sound. When I stopped vehicle I noticed the back tire was leaning. Thought it was wheel bearing.

My 2016 Nissan Rogue shakes terribly when it goes over 60 MPH. This has been happening for over a year. I have twice taken it to garages for repair, most recently this week.

The left rear suspension arm has failed. This part supports the left rear tire and wheel assembly and its failure cause the left rear tire and wheel to tilt to about a 45 degree angle. The car was able to be safely stopped, although control was severely effected.

In September 2023, my 2016 Nissan started vibrating with noise. It was not shortly after that a warning appeared on the console. The warning, "Chassis Control System Error" caused research as the vehicle worsened.

The 2016 rogue sl AWD makes a popping noise when making sharper turns in either direction such as when pulling into or out of parking spaces. It also does it when backing out and cutting the wheel. The car is low mileage and should not have this type of issue.

About a year ago (2018) my car started occasionally losing power after I had stopped at a light or stop sign after driving on a city street or getting off the highway. I would push the gas pedal and my car would not move until about 5 seconds later.

I have a 2016 nissan rogue, I have took it in to have the struts replaced 6 times and is an on going issue and I have got in contact with nissan and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. Dealership stated they were aware of the issue and that my car was not the only rogue doing this.

I took the car to the dealer only to be told it was a bent piece of metal by a rotor. I drove the car from the dealer still hearing the popping noise.

A few months after purchasing my brand new 2016 rogue, I noticed a noise coming from the front when I am backing up slowly and turning my wheels. I pointed this out to the nissan dealer where I purchased it and they determined it was my struts and bearings that needed replaced.
