2015 Nissan Rogue Body & Structure Problems

4 passengers in our AWD rouge (2015), with a panoramic sunroof, were driving on 1-85 from las vegas, nv back to salt lake city, ut on 12/08/2019, in the county of beaver about 30 miles from fillmore, ut, at about 75 MPH (80 MPH interstate speed zone), when all of the sudden, we hear a loud crashing sound. There were no vehicles around us on the road, so we were all extremely terrified.

While driving on i94 in wisconsin my sunroof exploded. I wasn't behind any trucks and I didn't go under any bridge. I heard I huge bang and when I looked up my sunroof was in millions of tiny bits.

Bumpers are not secure. They use a plastic shielding that do not properly protect against bad accidents. Most vehicles barely have protective bumpers, putting people's lives at risk.

I was driving south on military trail preparing to turn right at pipers glen. The light was green and there was a white car in the middle lane waiting to enter military. I slowed down to make my turn and suddenly my car accelerated.

Vehicle side window glass rattles and shakes when windows are partially open. They are not secured properly into door frame. Could lead to window breaking or exploding at speed, causing heavy distraction and potential accident.

Hatch hydraulic lift failed and trunk slammed on me. I also believe the hood latch might be a safety concern due to the hood wiggling like it doesn’t want to stay shut and shaking when on highway

There is standing water on the driver’s side floorboard and a sloshing noise can be heard while driving. This appears to match conditions described in a Technical Service Bulletin (reference: NTB14-105a).

There is water leak on Driver side floor and is covered under Nissan Service Bulletin NTB14-105a. The carpet is wet on the driver and/or front passenger floor and the source of the wetness is not caused by the air conditioning system.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the rear liftgate supports were corroded, requiring the use of excessive force to open the liftgate. Additionally, the liftgate failed to remain opened while in use, and would forcefully close independently when unattended.

My vehicle has a sun/moon roof. There are 2 drains that go down the side. The problem is there is a white piece of plastic that has plastic in the center at the bottom of the drain.

I have had to repair the rear window for leaking water through 2x. It is still a factory window but significant amounts of water was leaking. I had it repaired 2x, re-glued.

The hydraulics (?) in my manual lift gate suddenly failed. The hatchback slammed shut, and I barely ducked away in time. I was shaking.I thank God that my grandchildren weren’t the one retrieving an item.

The contact had taken the vehicle to byerly nissan (4027 dixie hwy, louisville, ky 40216) where they had inspected the vehicle on multiple occasions however, the cause of the failure was not yet determined.

Due to covid, working from home, shopping solely online and have virtual medical appointments. Rarely use car and it sat undriven for weeks. Water accumulating in moonroof drain caused hazardous mold issue in car interior.

The passenger door doesn't latch properly. Whenever someone leans on the door, it causes the warning lights and the interior lights to turn on.this happens whether or not the car is in motion. It's terrifying.

It is a known issue that has been recalled on other models but not mine apparently. The hood latch issue, my hood shakes uncontrollably while driving over 65 miles an hour. You can visibly see the hood shaking it is loud and it is very scary thinking the hood might blow off the car

I bought this 2015 nissan rogue sl brand new, with the plastic still on it. Since I've owned it I have had nothing except problems with the drivers seat. Namely the frame of the seat has been replaced 2 times.

My nissan rogue has a vibration issue that is noticeable when the car is resting at a red light, and while driving. You can see the passenger chair vibrating and the dashbard is noticeable when my GPS unit is mounted onto it. I took it to bayridge nissan inc, in brooklyn, ny -this is the dealer that I purchased rogue from , don't know if this problem is a safety defect .

Rear power liftgate opens and drops halfway on my head. This is not a one time problem. It's a defective liftgate issue where it opens to the top and then drops halfway every time the liftgate opens.

Hatchback lift shocks are corroded and do not work. Hatchback door is heavy to lift manually and I am afraid I will get hurt. I believe there's a recall on the hatchback lift shocks.

Rear lift gate falls, will not stay up on its own. Appears to be a 2016 recall on other models of the same year that did not include my VIN, however I am having the same issue of the lift gate falling on my head.

Hood was inadvertently released by driver due to hood latch release's location next to the fuel door release. Driver then pulled out of gas station onto street. While traveling under 15 miles per hour and within a block, the hood flew upward, obscuring the driver's view, causing damage to the hood, fenders, and cowl filler pieces.

On the trunk door, there is rusting, especially around the nissan emblem. On the top of the trunk door, on the spoiler, there is a lot of rusting and scratches started to appear out of nowhere, some of them are very small and better noticed when looking closely or zooming in on a photo. Surface feels rough.

The hood latches in the lock but is shakes really bad while driving especially while on I-10 highway it seems as if it catches one good wind it will come out and shatter my windshield!

Rear hatch door wont close/lock

Tailgate corrosion when vehicle was parked in a covered garage. Automatic rear hatch no longer operates/works.

No incident yet but the front hood is beginning to corrode and the corrosion is creeping up on the underside of the hood. We have contacted nissan without success. There has been no resolution.

My roof rack on my 2015 nissan rogue is falling apart. Went to a forum and found a lot of complaints. It is only three years old this should not be happening.

During rain or driving through car wash water enters the interior of vehicle through drivers side window,passenger window or back hatch.
