Your backup camera displays unreliably—it sometimes goes blank or shows a pink or orange tint instead of a normal image. The camera works intermittently, so you can't depend on it to show you what's behind your car when backing up. The issue likely involves a faulty camera lens, connector, or the camera module itself that will need inspection or replacement.

The dashboard camera screen on all 2024 Altima models displays a white foggy haze, which worsens at night and obstructs and distorts image view. The issue worsens in low light (garages, nighttime) where it is difficult to recognize or identify objects. On 7/10/2024, a Nissan dealership master mechanic reported to us that all 2024 Nissan Altimas suffer from this issue; however, when asked, Nissan corporate has no remedy, repair, or replacement for the component(s), causing this white fog haze that obscures the driver's view. We were told by the dealership where we purchased the vehicle that this issue only affects the 2024 Nissan Altimas. Especially at nighttime, the white foggy haze reduces our ability to identify people and objects, posing a safety concern. There have been two incidents at night where the Cross Traffic Warning and Parking Collision Warning were activated, but the driver could not identify the warning when viewing the camera screen due to poor clarity. Our family has a different 2024 model Nissan and it does not have this camera screen obstruction issue.
