While driving on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, both the ABS (anti-lock braking system) and ESC (electronic stability control) warning lights came on simultaneously. A service station diagnosed the problem as a faulty ABS pump. The Kia dealer replaced the ABS pump to resolve the issue. The repair may involve replacing the ABS pump module and recalibrating the brake control system.
