Your ABS pump control module is leaking brake fluid, which creates a safety problem. This part is difficult to locate, expensive to replace, and requires special programming to work with your vehicle — with no guarantee it will function properly afterward. Kia customer service declined to help with this issue. The repair will likely involve replacing the ABS pump control module and reprogramming it to your specific vehicle.

Your 2010 Kia Sedona's brakes are grabbing unexpectedly without your foot on the pedal, causing the car to slow down dramatically and become hard to control. This has happened multiple times, with all four wheels getting extremely hot and smoke appearing from the left front wheel on at least one occasion. The dealership has been unable to reproduce the problem despite three visits and cannot find any stored diagnostic codes, though they found rust in the master cylinder reservoir and attempted ABS reprogramming. Resolving this will likely require a thorough brake system inspection by a specialist, including checking the master cylinder, ABS module, and brake lines for contamination or electrical faults.

The issue may be related to a known electrical or brake system problem (NHTSA Campaign 20V088000). A mechanic should inspect your brake system and electrical connections to identify why the vehicle accelerated unexpectedly.

Your brake lights stay on even when you're not braking. This issue is related to a known recall (NHTSA Campaign 20V088000), but your dealer told you it's not covered under that recall and won't repair it for free. I WAS DRIVING AND THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME SLAMMED ON THEIR BRAKES, THERE WAS MORE THAN A CAR LENGTH BETWEEN US, BUT WHEN I STEPPED ON BRAKES THE CAR ACCELERATED RATHER THAN STOPPED. I NOTICED OTHER TIMES THE CAR WOULDN'T STOP WHEN STEPPED ON THE BRAKES HARD. SINCE THEN I'M VERY CAUTIOUS ABOUT DRIVING IN BAD WEATHER, OR TOO CLOSE. BE CAREFUL OF PRESSING ON THE BRAKES TOO HARD!! *TR
