Your tailgate won't unlock using any of the three methods: the remote fob, the key in the driver's door, or the interior unlock button. There's no exterior keyhole or interior release mechanism on the tailgate itself, meaning you can't open it without removing the interior panel. The locking mechanism is now silent and no longer clicks when you try to unlock it, though your rear sliding doors continue to unlock normally.

Your trunk latch isn't catching properly, causing the trunk to pop open while you're driving. You've had to use a cord to keep it closed as a temporary workaround. The latch mechanism needs to be repaired or replaced so it will properly secure and stay closed.
