Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2016 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured February 10, 2016, to April 28, 2016 and equipped with a 3.6L engine built at the Saltillo engine plant. During the assembly of the engine, the fuel rail crossover tube may have been damaged, which, over time, may result in a fuel leak.
Fix: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the engine assembly for damage to the fuel rail crossover tube, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on December 23, 2016. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S85.

Your Jeep's engine start-stop feature (which automatically shuts down the engine in traffic) has been malfunctioning repeatedly. When you tried to accelerate from a stop in heavy traffic, the engine struggled to restart and then suddenly surged to full throttle without warning, causing you to lose control momentarily and collide with the vehicle ahead. You've already taken your car to the shop twice in six months for this issue without resolution, and it resulted in an accident that you're being held responsible for despite the car's malfunction.

While driving at 45 mph, your car displayed a "Shift into Park" message and then stalled. The dealer found that your fuel pump had failed and replaced it. However, about 30,000 miles later, the same thing happened again—the replacement fuel pump also failed. Both failed fuel pumps had the same manufacturer part number, suggesting a possible defect in that part. The fuel pump replacement involves removing and reinstalling the fuel pump assembly, which typically requires dropping or accessing the fuel tank.

The DPF exhaust flange bolts broke, causing exhaust gasses to leak from joint into cabin. Known issue with eco diesel vehicles.
NHTSA Recall Number22V-406 I've been on the waiting list for many many months. Manufacturer doesn't have parts. Dealership doesn't know if parts will ever be available.
On October 26, 2024, I stopped at a gas station to pick up a few items, turning my vehicle off before going inside. When I returned about five minutes later, the vehicle wouldn’t start. The fuel pump module wasn’t supplying fuel to the high-pressure pump. Since it wouldn’t start, I left it at the station overnight. The next afternoon, after about an hour of attempts, the fuel pump module finally engaged, and the vehicle started, running normally. This issue had actually occurred once before, about a year ago, while I was pulling out into traffic. At that time, the vehicle stalled, and I had to push it out of traffic and into a nearby parking lot. The fuel pump module was also silent then, indicating it wasn’t functioning. Fortunately, after around five minutes, I was able to restart the vehicle without further issues. The vehicle hasn’t exhibited this issue since—until last night. If you research this problem online, it seems there are other reports of similar incidents with Jeep Grand Cherokees and Ram 1500 models equipped with the EcoDiesel engin
I have attempted to have recall Z46 performed by several Jeep dealerships and have been unsuccessful at getting the work done or even any estimate when it might be done. I complained to Jeep online advocate and was told there was a “huge” backlog and they would not commit to any repair date. The vehicle is dangerous to drive as the fuel pump may fail and subject the occupants to unnecessary risk of injury or death.
I have a problem with my air system no air when i turn it on and when i turn the heat on its cold
FCA US LLC issued an important safety recall Z46/NHTSA 22V-406 on June 09, 2022. It has been over a year and they have not provided a remedy, with the recall in status 'recall incomplete, remedy not yet available'. Given that this important safety recall can result in loss of motive power and inability to restart the engine, I do not believe this recall being open for a year is acceptable. FCA US LLC has now issued a second important safety recall 66A/NHTSA 23V-411 on June 08, 2023. This second recall can also result in a loss of motive power with the inability to restart the engine. My complaint is that FCA US LLC is identifying safety recalls but is not providing remedies, which is resulting in recalls stacking with no known remedy to prevent a crash or unsafe situation.
There has been a recall since last year, with no parts. In Feb my car broke down stopped running due to this recall. I had it towed to a dealership and no parts. Now its been sitting there for months and I have no car to drive. The dealership said they cant help, call Crysler. I contacted them and was told so sorry we WONT pay for a rental car. Now what am I going to do? I have to work and cant afford all these costs. Anything you can do to help?
The contact owns a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that there was a leak in the evap system. The mechanic replaced the Evaporative System Integrity Module (ESIM). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 63,635.
I started the car and before I could change gear, the engine check light came up immediately so I took the car to a dealership to get it checked out. The dealership mechanic accessed the problem and said it was a leaking fuel tank filler pipe assembly that caused the system to not seal. My concern is that my vehicle has never been in any accident so how can a leaking pipe occur with just normal driving?? It must be a manufacturer defect because a leaking pipe can't happen with just normal driving. If it did then that means all the cars on the road will have leaking fuel pipes from regular driving.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS AT A STANDSTILL, WHEN HE STARTED TO SMELL FUEL INSIDE THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V814000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 39,000.
