Your car's automatic emergency braking system is activating unexpectedly when there's no actual collision risk, including on open highways and while turning curves. When it triggers, the brakes apply hard for 1-2 seconds with no warning, which could cause a following vehicle to rear-end you if the driver can't react in time, or cause you to lose control on a curve. This has happened over 12 times in your first year of ownership, and lowering the system's sensitivity in your vehicle settings hasn't stopped it. The fix will likely require a software update or sensor recalibration at a dealership.
