2021 Hyundai Palisade Seats Problems

Your third-row passenger seat may unexpectedly open and close when the seat adjustment button is pressed, potentially pinning a child or passenger. In this case, a child's leg became trapped between the folded and upright third-row seats, causing swelling and redness. The seat button failed to respond when pressed multiple times to open the seat and release the child. Hyundai has confirmed they haven't yet developed a fix, which may involve redesigning the seat locking mechanism or button control system.

Seat belts in second row will engage/click into place securely and then intermittently release causing the seatbelt to come disconnected during vehicle operation. I have 3 children who during an accident could be ejected from the vehicle or seriously injured if the seatbelt mechanism were to fail.

This Palisade continues to have poor air quality because of an odor coming from the headrests. I have had all 7 replaced in October 2022. The odor was less for a while but has returned, I think, worse than before.

This is health concern and I have felt that my bronchial tubes are getting hot and eyes/throat/nose pain after 15 minute driving, then the pain keeps going on for while even after driving. I suspect toxic degassing from seats or interior materials in vehicle, or comes from engine room.

Car smells like rotten onions and had to replace windshield because it crack easily while driving on the road.
