While driving at 65 mph, your sunroof suddenly made a loud popping sound and the glass shattered, with pieces falling into the cabin. Fortunately, you weren't injured by the glass. The dealer repaired the sunroof but couldn't tell you why it broke. The repair will likely involve replacing the sunroof glass and frame assembly.

Your windshield cracked from a rock or stone impact and was replaced at an auto glass center. Shortly after the replacement, a new crack appeared at the base of the windshield and grew rapidly from 1 inch to 3 inches. The auto glass center said the windshield needed to be replaced again, but your Honda dealer refused to cover it under warranty, citing a related recall and directing you to your insurance company instead. The windshield replacement may involve removing the old glass, cleaning the frame, applying new sealant, and installing a new windshield.

The rear windshield on our 2025 Honda Pilot spontaneously shattered. We have owned it approximately 2 months.
My 2025 Honda Pilot (purchased Oct 2024) has experienced three windshield cracks, all starting in the same lower driver-side corner near the inspection stickers. 1st crack – July 2025: A long horizontal crack appeared overnight while parked, with no impact point at all. Dealer claimed “impact damage” and refused warranty. 2nd crack – August 2025: After paying for an OEM replacement and Honda Sensing calibration, the new windshield cracked on the drive home from a very small road debris impact. The star-shaped crack spread rapidly to the edge. Glass shop staff informally said the first crack looked like a stress crack. They replaced the glass again with OEM and calibrated, offering their labor for free. Dealer declined to pay even for only glass itself and told us to talk to Honda USA. We contacted Honda USA by phone, received a case number, and were told to “deal with the dealer.” The dealer then told us to contact Honda USA again. Neither party investigated, and both said the windshield is “not covered.” 3rd crack – November 2025: A tiny debris impact again caused a crack in the same exact corner. The impact chip was extremely small, but the crack still spread more than normal. All photos attached with repair invoices. We paid out of pocket as our insurance does not cover OEM glass. The repeated cracking in the identical corner, including one with no impact, suggests a possible structural stress point, mounting issue, or overly thin/brittle OEM glass. I also found another NHTSA complaint from June 2024 reporting similar cracking on a 2025 Pilot. These repeated failures pose a visibility and safety risk on a new vehicle.
The rear view mirror popped off the base. Result is driving without rear view mirror until repaired. This is a faulty design with the mirror hex base attached to the windshield and the mirror neck having a spring clip.
Ripples in windshield cause distortion when viewing the road. This is only present in the passenger side on my vehicle.
Poor back-up camera resolution at night. Almost hit pedestrian due to poor visibility from camera
My Honda Pilot 2025 vehicle's windshield cracked while driving on the interstate. The crack is on the driver side of the windshield, about 6 inches from the top.The crack begins as a single straight line before branching out into another curving line in the letter "L" shape. A passing vehicle kicked up rock or debris, which formed the crack. There was no collision or major impact on the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by the manufacturer, but they were unable to assist me in any way because they did not have any windshields available or would be created in the near future for this vehicle. Recognizing the signs of poor-quality windshield, I believe the windshield quality was compromised to its structural integrity. I see it as very major issue in terms of the safety of the driver and passengers.
