2019 Honda Pilot Collision Avoidance Problems

Below features stopped working and when I showed it to the dealership, it was diagnosed to be a Failed Front Camera which I had to get replaced at the dealership to get below features restored. Adaptive Cruise Control Forward Collision Warning Lane Keeping Assistance Auto High-Beam Headlights

Received five warning lights at idle. Adaptive cruise control problem, Lane keeping assist problem, collision mitigation system problem, road departure mitigation system problem, auto high beam problem. None of these safety features work in my vehicle.

The braking system failed Lane keeping assist stopped working Adaptive cruise control stopped working Forward collision warning stopped working It does not handle as smoothly since the sensors stopped working I parked in the shade I keep the sensors clean but they only will work when it’s cooler then 65 degrees outside

The contact stated that the LKAS, cruise control, and Forward Collision Avoidance warning lights were illuminated, indicating that the safety features were inoperable. My cruise control stopped working and all my lane assist stopped working. My front camera stopped working. I went to the Honda dealership, and it was going to be over $2000 to replace.

There was an internal failure of the multi-purpose camera located behind the windshield rear-view mirror. It was inspected by Russ Darrow Honda and the failure code diagnosed. The camera needed to be replaced.

During normal operation of the vehicle, the dashboard information display on the gauge cluster lit up displaying the following error messages: Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, Collision Mitigation System Problem, Lane Keeping Assist Problem, Auto High-Beam Problem, Road Departure Mitigation System Problem.

The front multipurpose camera that controls all safety features has failed. This is a major safety hazard because almost every safety feature is non functioning. These include automatic emergency brake, blind spot warning, forward collision warning, lane departure warning and all included in the ADAS.

The cars smart car controls stopped working. ACC, Collision Mitigation System, LKAS, Road Departure Mitigation, and Auto High Beam Problem warning lights are on.

2019 Honda Pilot began throwing error messages every time the car is started around 8/1/24. Error messages include ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control Problem), LKAS (Lane Keeping Assist Problem), Collision Mitigation System Problem, Road Departure Mitigation System Problem and Auto High-Beam Problem.

Vehicle brakes or collision warning comes on when roads are curved and traffic in oncoming lanes.

The forward collision warning and automatic braking system are terrible and have been terrible since we purchased our Pilot new from a dealer. The warning lights and beep go off frequently when driving on highways and surface streets, in fact it’s nearly impossible to have an incident-free trip longer than 20-30 minutes.

The Honda Sense camera failed due to an internal fault just outside the manufacturer's warranty. Dealership was needed to replace it in order to regain function at out of pocket cost. Upon the camera failing the driver is met with 5 warning lights that the following are no longer active: LKAS, ACC, Automatic Braking\Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Headlights, and Lane Mitigation System.

This morning 01/30/2024, I was travelling in the right lane of two on the highway. The vehicle slowed rapidly just about to a stop. I barely had time to pull to the right shoulder.

All my dash warning lights started coming on for Adaptive Cruise Control, ABS, LKAS, Front Collision Mitigation, Road Departure Mitigation. They all came on at once. I took it to Honda and they said it’s a front camera issue and I’d need to pay $1800 to replace it.

While driving on two lane roads and roads with left turn lanes, the "BRAKE" warning comes on almost every other on-coming car. Most instances it just the warning light and sound, but every once in a while the automatic brakes are applied by the system momentarily at times.

When I turned on my vehicle errors started coming up Collision Mitigation System problem, Road departure mitigation system problem, auto high beam problem, Adaptive cruise control problem and Lane keeping assist problem. Also has orange Brake System highlighted. Unable to use any of the safety features mentioned as well as cruise control.

Rear ended the vehicle in front. Vehicle in front had emergency braking activate, our pilot did not activate emergency braking. It does often go off on 2 lane highways when a large vehicle is coming the other way or when trying to take a freeway exit, but apparently not when you're about to hit someone.

On the highway traveling at ~60mph traveling straight away and the brakes slammed on without reason and almost caused a major accident. There was no vehicle in close proximity and no imminent collision that should have caused the vehicle to slam on the brakes. The random slamming of the brakes almost caused a rear end collision with our vehicle and the car behind us.

2019 Honda Pilot Collision Mitigation System flashing BRAKE on screen average 3 times per day. Includes shaking of steering wheel & if cruise control on, braking. All this is happening when there is nothing blocking car.

While entering the express lane on I-595 E my Honda 2019 Pilot unexpectedly reduced speed applying the brakes. There were no cars in front or behind me and the yet the emergency braking system was applied. This could have caused a rear end collision.

I drove our Honda Pilot during a moderate snow storm. The collision avoidance system repeatedly recognized the snow as a vehicle and repeatedly applied the brakes at highway speed in heavy traffic. It happened from Davenport, IA to Des Moines, IA on 14 Jan 22.

When driving on the interstate, car automatically applied breaks at 70+ MPH bringing speed down to 55 or less as it sensed a car in the right lane. However, there was clear lanes and no potential impact for a crash. The breaking almost resulted in me getting rear ended.

When this happens, I cannot see my speed or any critical vehicle information. The system reboots on its own while still driving. Why this is a safety issue: Losing the speedometer, warning lights, and safety systems while driving is extremely dangerous. I cannot tell how fast I am going, whether the vehicle has warnings, or whether safety systems are active. This should be investigated as a safety defect.

All of the warning lights came on, cruise doesnt work. Dealership told me my camera in the wind shield stopped working. I was given a 2,1000$ estimate from Harvest Honda in Yakima, WA.

The front camera driving assist malfunctioned, causing all driving safety mitigation to be stopped. This is not an issue due to the driver, it is an issue with the camera either malfunctioning from heat from sun exposure or being faulty due to manufacturing issues. I reported to Auto National Honda Valencia & they said it would cost approximately $2200 to fix.

So my front sensing camera failed after 125,000 miles , Honda sensing features disabled and dealer in Elk Grove, CA zip code 95624 quoted me 2,215 plus tax and that includes diagnostics. It showed 5-6 errors on my dashboard which have disturbed my focus on driving. Advisor said there’s no recall on this issue or warranty at all except if you bought an extended warranty.

The multi function camera is causing multiple system failures within the safety systems associated with the camera as well as additional issues with transmission. Honda suggests throwing parts at it until repaired. Many owners on forums report same issue across different model years and trim levels.

My 2019 Honda Pilot has 47817 miles on it. Purchased new from dealership. Been garaged entire life other than normal routine driving.

My whole dashboard is lit up high beams lane keeping assistance break system go’s off , seatbelt warning, my high beams this puts my safety at risk as my passengers. I have had this diagnosed by my mechanic. It came up on the computer that it is the front camera that is making this all happen.

The front camera has gone out on the Honda pilot, but inconsistently works. It will turn on while driving and turn off while the adaptive cruise control is on. The vehicle does not have a way to bypass the camera, so then there is consistently lights and alerts on.

The acc and lkas do not work on my 2019 honda pilot. The dealer is saying that it is the front windshield camera. This put me and others at risk because the cruise control doesn't work, the lane assist dosen't work, the auto braking doesn't work.

Multiple problems flashing. Including CMBS problem, Lane keeping assist problem, road departure warning, adaptive cruise control problem. The car also did an unexpected slow down while driving when there was no obstruction in front of me driving.

Front camera stopped working all of a sudden and didn't help with lane assistance.

Honda radar or multi purpose camera failed. Is available for inspection. Turns off extra safety features such as acc, lkas, lane departure system and cbms.

Vehicle automatically applies brakes in several unwanted situations: (1) driving down 2 lane road going around curve with other vehicle approaching from opposite direction (2) something small in roadway such as plastic bag or small limb (3) normal stopping when car thinks other vehicle is too close in front but driver is under complete braking control These actions are dangerous at normal highway speeds and on wet road!!!!

ACC While driving on I-15 a warning appeared on the Control Panel “Warning the ACC has malfunctioned” Within the last 90 days this occurred 6 times. Now the ACC has stopped working.

On January 24, 2023 while traveling on I-15 the Control Panel flashed “Warning” and the brakes were applied. There was no vehicle in my lane. There were other vehicles in adjacent lanes.

I have had the assisted emergency braking deploy itself with the Brake light blinking on the dash board when there is no reason for it to engage. No traffic around, just a sudden braking which pushes you forward in your seat and quickly scan all around you for impact which is not going to occur.
