2019 Honda Odyssey Lane Departure Problems

The car has started giving warnings every time I turn it on (as of 6 months ago): adaptive cruise control problem, collision mitigation system problem, auto high beam problem, lane keeping assist problem. It seems there must be a fault in the windshield camera that renders all these safety features useless. The repair shop stated that windshield camera isn’t working and is a $2k or more to repair.

Warning lights stay on for: Adaptive cruise control problem (ACC); Auto high-beam problem (A); Road departure mitigation system problem; collision mitigation system problem; lane keeping assist problem (LKAS); brake system lights. Lights will not clear. Dealership diagnosed for replacing monocular camera on front windshield/mirror.

Honda sensing stopped working and threw a bunch of errors about ACC, LKAS, Collision mitigation, auto high beam error, forward collision, lane keep. Apparently the camera had an internal fault without any prior warning. Also vehicle’s timing belt tensioner already deemed leaking at just 75,000 miles, well below the 100k replacement point, despite regular checks and maintenance at Honda dealers.

The multipurpose camera, which is needed for the ADAS to function has malfunctioned. Yes, it is available for inspection request. The malfunctioning multipurpose camera caused the advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) to perform unreliably.

Warning for Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto High Beam, Collision Mitigation, and Road Departure all populated at once. The functionality does not work, even regular cruise control without the adaptive feature. There have been many reports of this issue with fixes upwards of $3,000.

Without any notable prior messages or symptoms prior to the failure, on [XXX] after dropping off the kids at school and then turning on my 2019 Honda Odyssey EX-L (28,170 miles), the "Brake System" light was on and the following 5 dashboard warning lights/messages turned on: 1) Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, 2) Lane Keeping Assist Problem, 3) Collision Mitigation System Problem, 4) Road Departure Mitigation System Problem, 5) Auto High-Beam Problem.

It first started with the Power tailgate failure which I brought it to Honda who are aware that there is a faulty sealant that is causing water to get into these odysseys. They refuse to fix the issues and they are very costly. My van has never been in an accident.

While driving the car brakes hard when it thinks that it is going to hit another car even though there is not another car around. We have almost been in multiple accidents because of it. When driving down a winding lane it often shakes the wheel although we are not departing lanes.

Started the car one morning and instantly a bunch of warning messages appear on the dashboard stating; 1) Collision Mitigation System Problem 2) Lane Keeping Assist Problem 3) Road Departure Mitigation System Problem 4) Auto High Beam Problem 5) Auto Emergency Braking Problem. There is also a brake system light on now (amber color) due to the above. Never had an issue before now.

The van suddenly started randomly throwing up a series of 5 different codes, all relating to the forward camera system. It will appear and disappear at random, showing lane keeping assist, forward collision system, adaptive cruise control, automatic dimming headlights and lane departure system failed.

There has been no incident. And I hope there is not. But the forward camera that assists in the road departure mitigation, forward collision mitigation and lane keeping assist has failed.

Over the last three weeks, there were 3 incidents where the emergency braking system spiked the brakes when there was no reason. There was one incident where the lane departure spiked the brakes for no reason. Over the first 5 years owning the vehicle, this never happened.

The front camera that is responsible for ADAS suddenly died and it is very vurnerable to heat. The unit gets very hot and it gets hot quickly. The lifespan of the unit is very short and the dealer is asking for $2000 to replace it like they have seen this pretty often.

Multi-Purpose camera unit internal electronic failure. Front-facing camera mounted in the windshield. This caused several warning lights including the brake system warning light to illuminate.

The Brake System warning light is on. With this, it is showing 5 different issue messages when the car is running. I've taken to the dealer and they are saying there is an issue with the multipurpose front camera.

The camera that controls all the advanced driver assistance system fails intermittently. This causes 5 different warnings to come on and all of the safety features bases on this camera to stop working. This is an ongoing issue.

5 emergency lights came on at the same time, we went to the Honda dealer and the problem is the front camera, they told us there, for the diagnosis it was $250 dollars and if we want to fix it it would be $1900, I think that Honda should cover that because it is a car with only 30,000 miles, it is a very expensive repair for a car that is not that old.
