The automatic engine start stop when at a stop while driving creates dangerous conditions. The engine stalls during the re-start and it seems to pull the voltage all the way down to where every controller is dead and restarting. Cycling ignition switch while cluster is black or restarting or throwing up bunches of fault messages as traffic is now moving and you are still stopped.

The dealership discovered a short in the electrical harness tha controlled the radio and navagation system. I was concerned about a fire. Obviously a problem from installation.

When I come to a complete stop and the start/stop motor goes into idle mode (shuts the engine down), I have a problem that occurs after it. It is unpredictable but when I come out of the idle and the engine is supposed to kick back on, my minivan stalls out.

There are 2 issues, possibly related. First of all, warning for collision mitigation system problem appeared and then the digital display went blank.the steering wheel shook violently. In the second problem that occurred, a warning light flashed on and off (too quickly to determine what it said) and then the car went into neutral on it's own.

When backing out of the garage, the picture from the backup camera froze and went blank. This has caused a light accident with bumper damage. Based on the active recalls, this accident may have happened to to a known defect.

The vehicle infotainment system crashed even after the safety recall. This made the speedometer go out for a short time, and completely disable the radio, rear camera, res, and most user controls. The system additionally stayed on after the car was powered off, and would only turn off by pulling the fuse!

The computer system for the sliding doors and back hatch do not work properly. They will occasionally stop working or will stop mid-open or close. In addition, on three separate occasions the sensors did not work.

Read Driver side power sliding door, got stuck halfway open. I've had this happen on the passenger side as well, but after turning the car off, putting power doors to manual, and rocking it back and forth, I got it fixed no problem and ended up having to replace a bump sensor on the door and it resolved. I thought that's what was going on when it happened to my driver side door as well.

On our 2019 Honda Odyssey the passenger sliding door is failing to latch closed and stay closed or locked. The door is popped out in the back because the latch mechanism will not engage and electronically lock as part of the normal closing sequence like the other door.

All the advanced driver assistance system fails intermittently. This causes 5 different warnings to come on and all of the safety features to stop working. This is an ongoing issue that I had taken to the dealer for on numerous occasions with no remedy.

The only way I could open it was to crawl in the back of the van, remove the access panel for the lock mechanism, and use the lever to unlock the door. Three months into purchasing a brand new 2019 Honda Odyssey EX-L my car would not start. I was told my battery was drained/bad cell, due to the weather being too cold and all the electrical components of my vehicle. We lived in South Georgia and my van is kept in a garage.

Six months or more ago, my van started acting as though it is stuck in a gear before it finally shifts to the next gear. At first is happened every once in a while, but it now happens several times every trip and always at speeds between 25-40mph.

I was driving my 2019 Honda Odyssey on the highway and it stopped suddenly in the middle of the highway. The car went to idle mode and changed itself to park gear. We had to off the car and restart it which was dangerous in the middle of the highway.

Dvd player will not play movies. Dvd player gets extremely hot. Audio throughout entire vehicle experiences a constant snapping/crackle noise.

Brakes: significant vibration at 20k miles. Entire vehicle shakes violently when braking from highway speeds on a steep decline. Electrical: infotainment unit shows no audio available at random times.

The infotainment system started going bad after owning the vehicle within 2 weeks. When the vehicle is in motion the radio went out with a static sound and complete system blacked out with "network communication error" and restarted while car is in motion and this started repeating on the drive.I took it to the dealer and they said they fixed the problem by rerouting the electrical harness.

My new 2019 honda odyssey has a very distinctive electrical static/crackling/hissing noise coming from dashboard when driving or idling that doesn't sound normal but very concerning. Will take to dealer but don't expect much since I've read and researched this issue on the internet and others have the same issue without any actions from dealerships.

On the gauge cluster the vehicle normally tells me what gear I am in such as d for drive. Sometimes it does not show it and other times it works fine. The odyssey has a push button transmission and it is easy to get confused sometimes when it is not working.

The radio and computer system crackles make loud noise that sounds like wiring rubbing together, computer screen shuts off and resets and you lose functionality of your system that is connected to radio, phones and maps. This happens intermittently and the vehicle can be motion or stationary.

The center mounted infotainment system which houses the monitor for the backup camera freezes up and goes blank creating a safety issue. This is a requirement of the cameron gulbrasen kids transportation safety act of 2007 and became a mandate in may 2018. This vehicle is at risk and noncompliant with this act.

Initially the vehicle would randomly turn off while driving, it was not the idle stop since it is deactivated before driving. The dealer eventually said it was the battery. Then the infotainment system stopped working, the radio was replaced after a week of being at the dealer.

While driving on a trip at about 60 MPH, the infotainment system stopped working, nothing was functional, including the back-up camera which I heavily rely on. This is a safety issue. In addition, once the vehicle was shut off, the infotainment system wouldn't turn off and started draining the battery.

Frequent loud crackling noises come from the speakers, followed by a network connection lost error message on the screen, and then the screen will go black and eventually the system will reboot. This will happen repeatedly while driving and does not depend on the state or use of the infotainment system (it can be off and still happen).

We were on a vacation 5 months after purchase and 40 minutes into our trip the entertainment system, to include audio and visual all turned off. We had to restart the entire care. Repairs were supposedly made the incident continued to happen off and on for a few months.

Hello I have 2019 honda odyssey elite. There is an issue with the infotainment system, that freezes up, music not playing, screen being unresponsive, cabin watch feature freezes, skips picture or doesn't display it at all or with message that picture cannot be displayed. Rain sensing wipers do not work as intended.

The infotainment system is defective. Without warning the entire unit blackouts or locks up rendering it useless. This impacts navigation, all audio, the backup camera and bluetooth connectivity.

My radar and multipurpose camera need replacement

Not sure if this is the right complaint form, but we attempted to have a service center address 2 recalls on our vehicle and they would not perform them and would not provide a reason why the recalls were not addressed. The service center is AutoNation Honda in Westminster CO [XXX] ). We dropped our vehicle off on 7/24 for an oil change and to address the recalls.

Upon coming to a complete stop on the freeway, the idle engine feature stopped the engine. Upon letting go of the gas, the engine wouldn't restart and the electrical systems in the car malfunctioned showing a restart of the car would be needed. After trying to restart the car, the engine wouldn't turn over.

My 2019 Honda Odyssey’s power liftgate control model failed due to water intrusion. My liftgate started to open and close while I was driving, would close on me while loading/unloading the trunk, and would also open while parked in parking lots nearly hitting passing vehicles. My power liftgate ceased to open or close via any electronic means (button on dash, button on remote, tailgate left button on back of vehicle). The tailgate control module in the rear driver side panel was full of water when it was removed. The circuit board back side was covered with moisture damage which has shorted out the board.

the front facing multi purpose camera is defective with a replacement cost of $1800-$2000. it controls all the lane assist, cruise control, braking functions of the vehicle

My vehicle would say mitigation control system failure, and would flutter by turning off and back on and making the vehicle in operable for a few seconds while in motion. Also, would have a transmission gauge issue and would make the car inoperable, and wouldn’t move at all, would only turn on and would function like the radio, lights, etc.

The passenger sliding door does not open when it automatically opens. It doesn't matter which button you press to open the passenger sliding door, when it opens and slides back, it does not fully open and does not stay open. As it gets close to the rear, it makes the warning beeping sound then begins to close, causing it to be inoperable and not properly function as it's suppose to.

This vehicle has experienced random braking incidents while being operated on highways and other roads. Additionally, within a span of five years, two doors have malfunctioned, and the electrical system required replacement. These defects have jeopardized the safety of my family.

The vehicle's tailgate stopped working and a series of distracting alerts repeatedly popped up on the instrument panel. Upon inspection, the liftgate control module had a significant amount of corrosion on the pins and on the circuit board itself, despite the surrounding area seeming dry.

All safety systems which I had come to rely on failed all at once. Honda claims it’s the multi function camera that just randomly went bad. This affects safe driving.

On January 2, 2024 I was driving down the interstate the whole dash board electrical system went out and quit working.After a period of time it came back on. Started down the interstate again went out a second time. Afraid to drive it anywhere.

Our car has failed to start 3 times in one week. Our battery has been throughly inspected and nothing appears to be wrong with it. We have jump-started our car in July, and twice this week.

Infotainment system screen becomes dead while driving. Since then, it does not come back even after restarting a car.

My children and I are where on our way home on the the highway, when our odessy van suddenly turned off as I was driving(65 speed limit). It went from driving to going to park and shutting down, everything was flickering and it wouldn't turn on and wouldn't allow me to turn on my emergency lights.

The navigation screen stays black. No backup camera, can't change the radio, use the phone or change air flow or get directions from the screen. Some days it doesn't come on at all, others it comes on while driving.
