2019 Honda Civic Collision Avoidance Problems

I have had the accident mitigation system trigger for no reason causing the vehicle to slam on the brakes and come to a complete stop or close to a complete stop on two separate occasions. The first time this happened the vehicle had relatively low miles. I was driving down the road on a sunny day and the vehicle slammed on the brakes.

My vehicle has randomly had the emergency brake assist applied when there was nothing in front of me. Thankfully there were no vehicles behind me & the times that there were it was residential roads that are 25mph.

I leased the Honda Civic from a dealer in Maryland and the first advertisement for this car was this car has lane departure warning and adaptive cruise etc. I report some incidents of inefficacy these systems in my car while it showed alarm and Honda maintenance team assured me that it works perfectly. I was driving on Fwy I-40 West in New Mexico.

I took my 2019 Honda Civic into the dealership because I got a warning signal that says, collision mitigation system problem. The dealership says it needs a part that is back ordered and told me I could drive vehicle until part comes in. It has been several weeks.

There have been 3 times that this has happened. The first time I was driving and no car was in front of me. There was a car parked off to the side and my car sensored the car off to the side and the emergency braking system came on.

Every time I drive at least 30-35 miles I get the mitigation, collision and acc problem ive taken the car to honda 3 times and they are not able to figure out the problem. I've paid for them to recenter the radar sensor but that didn't work now they are requesting I replace radar for $1,500. This car has 40,000 miles on it why am I having issues already?

Most recently, driving along on a sunny day at about 45 MPH on a flat road. No other vehicles on the road in sight. The collision warning system beeped and flashed the warning on the dash.

I was driving on an empty road with speed limit 40 MPH. It was 2:30 pm with sunny conditions. The car started beeping and then the car's brakes automatically engaged violently.

1.The Automatic Breaking System malfunctioned, and is available for inspection upon request. Safety was at risk because in March 2020, the car stopped itself on North Carolina route 70 in the middle of traffic without warning and without cause/reason. Dealership inspected the system on April 1st, 2021 and found no issue.

The contact owns a 2019 Honda Civic. The contact stated while he and his wife were driving at various speeds, the vehicle would independently come to a complete stop. The contact was uncertain if any warning lights were illuminated.

Blackstone Lab reports fuel in my oil (acceptable for city driving} however all my driving is highway driving. Car has 22,500 miles, that oil had 4,000 miles on it and had 1.3% fuel ALL highway! Back and forth between Columbus, Ohio and Wyandotte, Michigan.

The emergency braking system auto brakes when to close etc mines done it multiple times with car ahead of me by 2/3 car lengths and even while switching lanes it’s auto brakes for no reason
